  1. Mike what’s the best way to test cranking psi? Is the short time between turn of the key and start of the truck enough to get an accurate reading?
  2. Agreed with @Dieselfuture. It’s worth it. If you have the money you just go through the whole fuel system and replace everything. Fuel lines Vp44 lift pump filter etc. I don’t like throwing parts at my truck but it seems to be fuel related.
  3. Time to get out the block heater cord. Got new tires yesterday. Also need a new idle switch as i broke mine removing the dash. Snow has came down to 4,000 FT and winter is moving in quickly.
  4. Ok hmm it’s got to be fuel related.
  5. His may have been asked but did you scan the truck with a good quality scanner?
  6. Have you checked battery cranking amps? Found out what FP is? Change fuel filter?
  7. Haha good response! Here’s my ‘00 pulling my Dakota home. I bough the truck for 350$ with a toasted clutch on faith be cuase I couldn’t drive it. Threw a new clutch in and runs and drives swell! More truck pics folks lets keep this thread lively!
  8. Curious if I would get much power gain from putting a He351Cw on with my 75s?
  9. I installed the same sticks a few k miles ago. No complaints!
  10. Dang looks like i found a way to save a few bucks. @cajflynn What did you run in your million mile rig?
  11. So all you guys are running conventional oils?
  12. No but third gen alloys look awesome on our trucks!
  13. I think I might let someone else do that if that’s what needs done. I can’t afford to mess up someone’s truck lol. We will see though can’t be that hard. The truck has 433k by the way.
  14. Hey fellas working on this 1995 12 valve p pump. The location is right where the cylinder head Mets the engine block I believe. Is it coming from the head gasket? Pics attached. Thanks!
  15. Just got to get the time and will to do it! In a way I'm not worried about it becuase it is inhibiting rust on the underbody and not using any measurable amount of oil. I just don't care for leaky stuff it looks sloppy.
  16. You could purchase a new dipstick from Genos and see what happens? I have a NV5600 so I'm just trying to help I don't have any experience here.
  17. I wasn't aware that I could get tires in a 265 85 17?
  18. I have found that chains are mostly used in deep snow. When I hunt at high elevation is the only time I have chained up. For the most part 4x4 will get you anywhere. There is no doubt that pizza cutters are the ticket for traction. The issue I see is that us owners with 4:10 gear ratios need a fairly tall tire to suit or needs and with every height gain u get width gain with it. Like I am running 265s right now and I'm just fine with the width but I need a taller tire to get the optimal gear ratio of 3.73 without regearing. My next tires will likely be 285s for this reason.
  19. 4wd is a must where I live. Last year I was driving to work in 6 inches f slush and almost couldn’t move in 4 wheel drive. I thought I had a flat tire it just wouldn’t go.
