  1. Could the Fuel Boss be installed on a truck that has a FASS system on it? Using the HOBBS would shut the FASS off after the engine was started.
  2. We did the cash for clunkers here in the US. I manage a salvage yard and all the "Clunkers" that were traded in the dealerships sold to salvage yards for dirt cheap. There were a lot of nice cars and trucks that went to waste. One that stands out was an early 90's Toyota truck v6 4x4 with 30k miles.
  3. Are you running on a stock transmission?
  4. I read somewhere that when adjusting CANBUS fueling with with quad, throttle input changes therefore changing shifting on the trans.
  5. When you hot wire the VP44, are you hearing the VP44 clicking?
  6. Getting a stage 3? I am wanting to have John @Dynamic build my trans. Still saving some funds. He sometimes does a sale occasionally. Undecided on whether I should have a billet output added.
  7. That is the go to towing combo and to wake the truck up. A little better fuel mileage as well. A few members are running that setup.
  8. An Edge EZ will wake the truck up. Simple plug and play.
  9. Should there be a concern about spool rpm between the stock hx35 and sxe 62/68/12 or 14? It seems 7x.010's would be a better all around injector.
  10. @Dynamic Do you use box kits in you valve bodies or some secret squirrel stuff? Reason I ask is because a builder in my state had a YouTube video overview of a 48RE rebuild and I just saw a shelf full of TransGo shift kits in the back ground. Not saying it's makes their builds inferior or anything.
  11. @Mopar1973Man Just tested ac noise. Passenger battery: Max .010 at the terminals. Max .016 at the alternator post. 13.92 volts at idle on hot engine Driver battery: Max .010 at the terminals 13.90 volts at idle
  12. Got my ground mod done. Decided to go with new cables since the insulation looked brittle on the existing wires. I attempted to buy lugs and crimpers off Amazon, but it made some of the most terrible crimps I have ever seen. So I had cables made for less money anyway. I went with 4 AWG for the charge cable and ground, and used a 150 amp mega fuse holder for the alternator. Looks clean and hopefully reduces ac noise. Still have to retest the ac noise. Don't mind my dirty engine bay. And that crusty positive terminal has been cleaned.
  13. UPDATE!! Finished the ground mod last night and installed my repaired ECM from ACS. Truck started and runs fine, did not have time to check AC noise but will do so tonight. I did have a check engine light. With the key trick I got P0230, P0382, P0380, P0521, P0118, P0113, P0237. But dummy me didn't disconnect the batteries when I unplugged sensors and the alternator for the ground mod and I'm guessing using the wrong ECM threw some codes as well since one of the codes was for oil pressure. But on the second start the CEL was off. So far only have driven 30 miles and no issues. Thank you ACS!
  14. I have had some be stubborn. Thought I was going to strip the gear puller and the VP44 eventually popped off.
  15. Very interesting. Looks like they are geared more towards the 4th gen crowd. Some real world feedback on those studs would be nice.
  16. In the process of doing the W-T ground mod. I decided to just make a new alternator charge cable and new ground from the driver battery to block. The insulation was dry and cracked on the old wire. Anyway, I bought bare copper lugs, but should I have gone with tinned copper lugs?
  17. I was wondering what you do about high beams. I have a set of single bulb housings, but the mini H1s are low beams only, right?
  18. I know it's not practical for some, but the best option is to build them yourself.
  19. Anyone using the Outerwears pre-filter? I put one on my BHAF and like it, but just noticed the elastic went bad on both ends.
  20. @Mopar1973Man @pepsi71ocean Received my ECM from ACS today. All looks good. I did get my original ECM back. Once the ground mod is done I'll get the repaired ECM installed and see what we have.
  21. @Mopar1973Man @pepsi71ocean @IBMobile Just got an update from ACS. My ECM is done and on the way back, due to be delivered tomorrow. Their findings report I am somewhat skeptical about seeing as how I drove my truck home on another ECM. Which I guess the "short" was actually the AC noise. Here is the email they sent: "Great News! 24. Are you going to put the body color over that rhino liner stuff or just leave it as is?
  25. @dave110 Yes. I have the ground mod and ac noise threads all saved in my favorites. Thank you though.
