Kinda Urgent... Rear main/ rear main housing!!
So do you have to align the rear main housing?? I have a seal and speedy sleeve for the rear main, so I will install after housing is on. I also have the seal/sleeve install tool. The housing will have new gasket and I'll also add some loctite 515 on that and torque to ___??? I will also be doing pil pan gasket. I assume it's better to install housing first with out Goop on the bottom, then remove oil pan and do gasket etc there... Please advise!! Sorry need to get this done pretty quick and want getting any quick responses on my build thread.

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
As suspected, it's the input shaft seal... Maybe it was from setting so long... I put the usual 6 plus 2 for the fast coolers. the site glass on the fast cooler was prolly a little above it. Hopefully that's not over full. This time I'm gonna just add till its middle glass and not per what we usually do... what ya think? Gonna still do rear main and clean up the clutch... hope the oil didn't mess it up...

My thought was with it off and taking the adapter plate/mount off that I'd have room. Idk. I'll find out shortly...

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
Trans is about to come out... just a guess but I think it's the transmission input seal.. will see shortly. I have the 1.50 seal just in case along with rear main + sleeve. Do yall think it's a good idea to do rear main then re assemble and do oil pan? I wouldn't know how to jack up the whole motor on the front with out trans on... Also I have the gasket for behind the rear main, should be pretty simple to replace?

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
Tappers not leaking, I was only gonna add doing the tapper cover if I pulled the engine. More concerned about the others really...

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
Anyone else?? How would I lift up the motor with the trans off to do oil pan etc with the rear main? Maybe pull trans and do the rear main, re install. Then lift up motor and do pan gasket? Then finally do the front main seal? Also debating using rtv/permetex vs gasket and some anarobic sealer Also please see above for other questions^^ considering getting started on this tonight.

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
Thinking about doing it in the truck unless someone thinks all of this stuff would be easier and cleaner out of the truck. prolly going to buy my oil pan gasket, front and rear main seal at cummins order the speedy sleeve install tool and seal install tool from thoroughbred diesel (spilting it with some buddies) blue top steering gear ps pump, lines, vacuum re seal from genos if i pull engine ill do tappet cover too... this think hopefully wont drop a drip of oil.....! Thoughts on above ^^^?? Also needing more advice on engine pull or no.

Is he on this site or is it better just to call him? Previously it has said out of stock when I checked last year, but now there's not even 2nd gens listed.

Blue-Top vs Redhead steering gear
About to pull the trigger on a new steering box, pump, hoses! From the comments, blue top is the way to go I assume. Already have the borgson shaft so hopefully I'll have some super tight steering! Also going to re seal vacuum pump while I'm there. Best place for vacuum pump stuff? I'll just Google blue top and go to there main page? Edit, I went to blue tops site and didn't see any option for 2nd gen steering gears??

NP241 T-Case Shifting Issue
Well I'm super happy to say that it works now. I just went back and forth in my long drive way kinda getting stuff moving again and I was able to get it to shift into all ranges. Guess from all the sitting it did after the rebuild it just kinda seized a little... just needs drove now...

NP241 T-Case Shifting Issue
Yea, it works, I drove it out of the shop this weekend. I removed the linkage out of the equation even though it's good and didn't move anything and used my hand to try and manually move the lever forward or backwards. I can get it to partially engage either way... Just got home and gonna see if I can get it to move by just moving it back and forth to see if It is froze and free it up or see if something else is going on...

NP241 T-Case Shifting Issue
So trans and tcase is in the truck and i got it to move this past weekend outside the shop. YAY, well right after I rebuilt it I tested operation and it worked, now after it setting awhile then finally getting put in, it works but only in one gear, I dont remember off the top of my head if it was 4x4 high or 4x4 low but definitely 4x4. Im guessing something got seized inside form it setting and me not being proactive and moving the gears ever so often to prevent this... So with it installed and fluid in it, i guess i can just keep trying to rock it back and forth and hopefully it frees up? i did see the 4x4 indicator switch sometime seizes up to so i might remove that aswell. Any advice or tips if anyone has come across this before, again this is a fresh rebuild - new everything...

Borgeson Steering shaft upgrade
Returned from bluetop? I've never done it (grinded), there was just a lot of chats and how to-s sayin such... I think I'm safe with my indent... I'll be getting me a new gearbox from them in the near future... I haven't done much research yet but I believe red/blue is the same just a company that spilt? One better than the other?
