Quick P0336 Question...
On my 01 the camshaft sensor went bad other then a little stumble the main thing was the tach quit. Mine was acting up when cold [below 30]. this went on for 3 months finally got tired of it and change the csp sensors. the sensors is like 60.00 took about an 11/2 to changed. It never left me stranded and once warmed up there was no more cel, till the next time started below 30.

Oil Consumption...
Sounds a little odd. Are you sure was filled at change? Sometimes I find mine a quart low a week after change when I go and count bottles I find I missed counted while refilling. I still use Delo so can't answer about the Amsoil.

What's the batteries like? Are cables and connections good? I agree with MnTom.

Leaking vac pump / ps pump mount flange
It's been a year, but I thought that there were 4. The two your talking about ,the bracket and two under neath. Memory is not so good. But it is easy to pull the vac/ps pumps as a single unit.

something wrong with my truck?
I agree I just installed some RV275 from DAP love them. They were 405.00 18.00 for new connection tube o-rings, and after sending in core I got 150.00 refund. Hard to beat.

Leaking vac pump / ps pump mount flange
I pulled the assembly off to rebuild the vac pump about 2 year ago. Also last year to replace the cam position sensor. It is easy to do. There is an oil line and a bracket that you get ot from under neath. Then there is four bolts. Best to leave the ps pump attached so that both come out as one. IMO you should put new seals in vac pump while it's out. Geno's Garage has a kit that has all you need. I think it's about 30-40 dollars.

AirDog help in subzero temps
Just fixed my leaking tappet cover. Took me about 11 hours. What a PITA. Glad I done it but didn't like it. Thanks to mopar1973man for great articles on how to.

Dome light
Well with mine one push unlocks the doors, the second push shuts off alarm. All I was trying to say is maybe OP dosen't have alarm and second push might turn off light.
-
Dome light
On my 01 if I use the key fob I have to push it twice to unlock. If only once the alarm sounds off. If you don't have an alarm it might not turn light off. Try push the key fob twice next time. Just a suggestion.

tappet cover/RV275 install
Diesel4life 1st impression is great. Response to throttle quicker. Seemed to give a new jump to the truck. I'm glad I did the injectors by themselves the job was not bad, hardest part was the injection lines from pump to head. Not much room to get torque wrench in to get proper torque. If I had to do it again I would.Mike that would be great I have ten photos to go with the write up. Give me a week or so to get it done.I forgot to mention that the tools I got from Genosgarage.com were a great time saver, will include them in write up.

tappet cover/RV275 install
Just wanted to thank you to Mike for all his articles that helped me replace the tappet cover gasket and install new RV 275 injectors, and to all the great write ups from the members I could not have done this with the help. Also the instructions found on Blue Chip diesel where very much needed. Will have photos and short write up in near future, to tired right now. Thanks to all.

idleing and Engine warm up?
If really cold you can always plug in for a couple hours. Mine is on a timer comes on 2 hr before I leave for work. When I was vol. fire poor truck only got about 30 40 sec. before out the drive. Just enough time for oil to get pumped around. Diesel is slow to warm.

idleing and Engine warm up?
I try to stay at 3-5 min. If below 20 will give a extra min. It will warm up faster running down the road. You can have high idle enabled at dealer or using Smarty.

KDP
IMO do the mod. Even if you empty it twice for every oil change you would still get the oily mist from it everytime you run the engine. That mist gets allover the engine radiator and attracts dirt like a magnet. Do a search on rads and look at the pix. You will be amazed at the clogged rads.

Seems I read something about the P7100 was a heavier pump and was mounted different. Must Have misunderstood what I read. Sorry for the confusion, it;s a good thing lots of people chime in.

Redneck Tonneau Cover
Looks good. Redneck rule.

01 should be alright. the upgraded case went with the VP44. The older case was for the P7100. The pumps are in a different spot on the case. On mine I wanted to make sure the case bolts were tight, so I tabbed mine and check the bolts. One of them was not as tight as the others. So one bolt at a time I removed, cleaned and Loc-tight them. Also I had a leak at the crank and the kit had a new seal. So for me it was worth the time to fix.
