Mechanical lift pump
honestly i cannot recall, i did the install back in 2014, and noticed it some years later when changing the serpentine belt. that also is the only down side, you must remove the fuel boss belt to service the serpentine...that is also a down side....serpentine breaks, you loose the fuel boss belt.

Mechanical lift pump
my only recommendation when ordering a fuel boss, or shortly there after, is order a spare lower pulley. mine has dried out ( and being a fiberous material) and has started to seperate the belt retaining edge. it hasnt fallen off completely, but about 50% is not attached.

Hard start in morning, then good rest of day
Along with all the free fuel related checks...recently the IAT sensor has been mentioned as well. mine has developed a hard start / longer crank on cool morning...all other fuel items replaced within a few miles....i am leaning towards trying the IAT sensor

Mechanical lift pump
at a minimum, do the 3/8" bigline. i have mine plumbed from stock feed tubes to 3/8" through out... it is totally fine. i run a superchips maxed out, with 7x.0085 (75 hp ish) and i idle at 21-22psi ( temp based) and see 25 psi sustained when on the throttle. Dont worry about the HIGH PSI issues most speak of, that is an issue when CRANKING, not idling or running,

NP 241 DLD Front Output Shaft Seal
would happen to know of an accurate parts house part# for the front out put shaft seal for the NP 241 DLD ? 2002 model year. mine started puking this morning on my drive into work, and most local parts house dont have a clue, and i can not locate an accurate cross reference.

Mechanical lift pump
several years back, i was you! i was traveling the country and wanted reliability. my truck has a fass ddrp and i installed the fuel boss. Solely based on reviews...i could not find a failure, i heard of a couple but no confirmations. the assassin had a few claims, and customer service at the time wasnt great. PDD has a new version with a pressure valve built in, it is still new to most, but should have good support. i know i have emailed richard (GDP Fuel Boss) on sundays, and within minutes had return calls. only issues i have at all are this...the drive pulleys have a fiber construction, they can become brittle. i do carry a spare but have never needed to use it. The other is YOUR install...make sure no debris gets in the line, i hung a check valve open and lost pressure...not a big deal, but i did reach out to richard for a fix...he called right back (11am Sunday). personally, i have never needed the ddrp since i installed the boss (2014 ish).

Budget build, need advice
the digital boards of the fuel labs pumps dont play well with our ecm signal. search around for forum posts by @CUMMINSDOG , he has a write up as to why.

How do you clean your engine bay?
a good de-greaser of choice and IF AVAILABLE...a steam pressure washer. otherwise a simple power washer works great.

Leaf springs/ replacement broke
lots has to do with the quality of any coatings applied also...one winter in your area...TOTALLY ruined my chassis and now body. i couldnt wash it enough to get the salt off.
-
Leaf springs/ replacement broke
look at summit or the like for a superlift soft ride 4" lift rear leaf...this will allow for removal of the rear block with very minimal height change...and controls axle wrap much better.

4th Gen wheels on a 2nd Gen??
the 4th gen PRE 14 trucks bolt right on, as these trucks were 4 link front and the same as a 3rd gen. the 14 up trucks with radius arms have a deeper off set and may require the spacers https://www.wheeladapter.com/

47re shifts better when cold
smoother as in NOT SO HARSH ? thicker fluid wont flow as fast and can create a cushion for engagement. not always a good thing.

2001 auto, Rattle near steering column
Recently i noticed that my column housing under hood has some wiggle, but i thought the rock solid bushing (or even garden hose as some have used) was to secure the internal shaft from movement within the column housing ????

REAR BLOCK KIT
LOOKING BACK AT SOME PICS, mine was actually nose high for a while...way longer than i remember. they have been in for about 2 yrs now, and some coil noise when cycling.
