Consensus-Greasing Wheel Bearings (ABS Port)
That's funny!

Truck Not Running Right
As soon as I have time going to do these. Have you done these things? W-T mod and install Timbo APPS.

Consensus-Greasing Wheel Bearings (ABS Port)
Sounds about right. Graphite is a decent electrical conductor. 75W-140 gear oil seems awfully thin for this application (thinking seal leaks, not that it can't provide good lubrication), but it's hard to argue if others have had good results.

Client wanting me to look at a oil leak.
Ah, no I did not!

Client wanting me to look at a oil leak.
Why a new engine? I don't know enough about these engines to know why the oil is on the outside. Knock a hole in the block?

Replacing head gasket
As easy as this is to check, I would do this first. Remove line, block backwards with your solvent of choice (brake cleaner, etc.), blow backwards with compressed air. Preferably blow backwards into a clean rag so you can see if something comes out. But one wonders if there was the possibility of trash in the lines, how much of it has made its way to the injectors? They may have been serviced/cleaned before, but may be clogged again if more trash broke loose from the line.

Common Sense Obituary
When a person actually reads the whole story about the spilled coffee incident, said person begins to see that the jury got it right. But yes, the Obituary is pretty accurate!

Durafoam seat cushion
Yes! I think I lowered my seat all the way after installing my new cushion, and it was up pretty high.

help needed with 3 Cylinder high idle.
I'm pretty sure that 3-cylinder is a feature that has to be enabled by a dealer tool (DRBIII) or a Smarty tuner. The 6-cylinder high idle can be enabled by a switch, though I don't know much about it.

Genos seat cushion
I put the same in my truck a couple years ago and HOLY SMOKES what an improvement! Buy once, cry once type of thing, it is not cheap. At the time, I was driving truck 30k miles per year and sometimes it was 400 miles in one day so I really appreciated the new cushion.

Injection pump
DAP sells Midwest Fuel Injection (Seidel Diesel Group) pumps, right? Or did?

Scanner For 2nd Gen.
I bought an OBDLink LX a few years back and it's fantastic, I leave it in the truck since I tend to drive the truck to more remote and far from home locations. I bought an OBDLink MX+ last year to look at newer vehicles. I keep it at the house. They're both great. Connect easily and reliably. There's a (very short) learning curve, so use it before you actually NEED it.

Not a good experience
Didn't IBMobile provide you with the phone number in a response to your Saturday post? "A phone number would have been too easy."

Truck Not Running Right
Since this will cost you about $5 or less and 2-3 hours, absolutely yes do these things!

99’ 24v Alternator Went Bad, Possibly Fried PCM/ECM/VP44?
I had this happening on only one battery. Eventually realized there must be a leak between the lead post and the plastic battery casing. That allowed the nasty gases to do their thing. Now I'm beyond careful when removing terminals from the posts!

Coolant temp gauge bad or ecu failure?
OBDLink LX is great if you don't want a semi-permanent gauge.

One piece drive shaft?
I can't remember all the pluses I've read, but the only con I recall is cost. It costs a lot to manufacture a spinning shaft that long that doesn't have bad harmonics, etc.

endless NV5600 problems.
On the plus side, this should be a much easier diagnosis than the transmission issues! [knocks on wood]

Factory Heated Seat Replacement
I haven't tried an Amazon cushion so can't say definitively. I can say that after I installed the @Genos Garage seat cushion and sat in the seat I completely stopped thinking about the money and had a smile on my face! The next 300 mile drive I did reconfirmed it was money well spent.

Factory Heated Seat Replacement
I wish I had info for you. The Rostra switch sure looks "stock", not gimmicky. https://www.rostra.com/comfortheat-automotive-seat-heater-by-rostra.php Also, if your cushion isn't great anymore I strongly suggest the one from Geno's! It's rather high dollar but SO nice.

How hot are you?
That'd be nice! We haven't had a low in the 50s for several months. Was thrilled this morning with a low of about 63⁰! Those mornings where you start off at 74⁰ and 90% humidity are just awful. We had a lot of 75⁰ dew point days this summer. Carry a hammer outside from the basement and it gets wet with condensation. Not sure how people in the real south survive! 👍

CP4 pump recall
I suppose. Then there are the examples of recalls to fix bad designs. Bosch wants a 4-micron filter and GM uses a 7-micron. Then no lift pump at all. Dodge realizing a block mounted lift pump is maybe not the best and finally moved it to the tank so it could push.

Fass 150 question I shouldn't be asking.
