  1. Well sheet! Is this going to ruin my turbo? Should I pull the cartridge back out and have it all balanced? Or will I only get 50,000 miles out of it instead of 100,000? Was yours off by much?
  2. That’s good to know! I didn’t have the wheels balanced because I thought they already were. I saw balancing marks on the turbine and compressor wheels.
  3. Hopefully! Time will tell. I’ll keep everyone updated.
  4. Just specify what compressor wheel you’re using and they’ll mill the bearing housing out to fit.
  5. She’s like a rocket ship now! My son was driving I told him to get on it a little bit. Didn’t have enough hose to hook the waste gate up yet so there’s a little bark at the end. Sorry about the glare. IMG_0500.MOV
  6. The company on eBay I bought it from. The username is bmwracing_6. They are Turbo Lab parts.
  7. I’ve read your posts about your turbo specs so I knew I couldn’t go wrong!
  8. Had to change things up a bit when my used Hx35 showed up rusted as **** and the wastegate diagram was toast. Was going to be a 62/64/12. Everything new now. 62/67/12. Will be assembling tomorrow and hopefully installing it.
  9. I had a problem with the turbo cool down feature awhile back. It quit working. Fuse was good. With it linked to the Quad I toggled it off and on a couple times and it started working. Yours is definitely odd.
  10. Are you talking about this? Hopkins 42145 Plug-In Simple Multitow 7:4 OE Replacement Harness https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CMHVF8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E8rMEb06JJSWT
  11. My trans did the same thing but I was able to loosen the cable to shift at 2900. Can you turn the high idle off on the quad?
  12. @gimmie11s I’ve been meaning to ask you. What did the machine shop end up milling your exhaust housing out to? I know it’s a 64mm turbine wheel. So was it milled to 65mm for clearance and heat expansion, or more? TIA.
  13. Just unplug everything and you’ll have a stock running truck. May I ask what it is about the Quad you don’t like?
  14. I see the point of a Joe blow system for the masses. I felt pretty intimidated when I first got my Quad V2. But reading through the V2 threads mainly yours and Mikes posts I’m fairly confident in myself on changing and making new tunes. But that V3 system does sound pretty awesome!
  15. The 7x.010’s will support 500hp with the right turbo. Are you running the V2 tuning on your quad?
  16. Interesting. My ARP’s fit with no issues.
  17. So far so good I really like them. No hard starts no black smoke. My main reason to raise the pop pressure is so they’ll stay above the minimum pop pressure for many thousand miles. Truck runs great! For my DD tune my fueling starts out at 84% and tops out somewhere ( I’d have to look) around 130%. No black smoke. I imagine over time I’ll have to lower the fuel table but for now its awesome! Oh yeah, I’ve got the bug! I started with a Powerpuck. Then some Rv275’s. About a month later I found some used Dap 7x.009’s. About a month ago Dap had a sale on reman’s so I went to the 7x.010’s. Now upgrading my turbo for the second time! All this over a 3 -4 year period. Haha it’s addicting! One thing for sure I have a stout tow rig!
  18. Ya I’m looking forward to it! Hopefully in a couple weeks or so I’ll have it on the truck.
  19. I’m in the process of building one myself. Pretty much the same as yours but with a 62.35mm compressor wheel. The mechanic at our shop says he can mill the turbine housing out for me. Found a complete Hx35 on eBay for $120. Only thing I’ll use off that will be the turbine housing. Your truck sounds great btw!
  20. The B terminal will no longer go to the PDC box. If you’re running a stock amp alternator it should run to a 150 amp breaker or fuse then to the passenger side battery. I have an ‘02 but by going by the diagram that is how I’d do it.
  21. Just clicked on the link. They’re selling that turbo for $899 now. I should have jumped on it back then.
