  1. Is the vent on the fuel tank plugged?
  2. Loosened up the fuel lines to the last thread or two. Threaded a valve cover bolts into the top of the injector. Then I used a pickle fork to pop them out. The crossover tubes shift back towards the fuel line when you pull the injector out. Then I would always put a little bit of grease on the side of the injector where the crossover tube would connect to it. Then tighten down the injector and fuel line. Did it about three times that way. And one time on my brother-in-law’s truck. That cross over tube might’ve been bad from the factory. Who knows.
  3. I changed mine out trying to hunt down a miss. The end of one that mated up to the injector had a burr on it. Did a couple injector changes on them. After replacing them all truck ran better. I never pulled mine to do the injector changes. Until I replaced them. I would at least pull them and inspect them. And replace the o-rings.
  4. How many miles are on your existing cross over tubes? If original I’d replace those as well.
  5. When you turn the key on does the WTS light come on immediately? Every time? W-T ground mod done?
  6. Yes I received the payment. Thank you! Yes anything will be better than an HY. I ran 7x.09 Dap injectors with an HX35. Ran real good! I bought the injectors used otherwise I would have gone straight to the 7x.10’s I have now. I gave the HX to my brother in law. He has an ‘02 as well. Yes the Quadzilla makes these trucks much more user friendly. Especially when you upgrade turbos and injectors. Mine is completely smoke free! No wiretap being I just replaced the VP44 recently. Still runs great. It maxes out boost around 32-35 psi. If I were you I’d get a stock wastegate diaphragm and run a boost elbow and or a turnbuckle with a heavy duty spring. Much cheaper than a adjustable wastegate.
  7. Don’t thank me till you see it! ? but you are welcome. The exhaust housing should be fine. I believe it’s the compressor housing is what has the grove from the compressor wheel. Once you get it torn down you’ll see what all needs to be done. If you went the hybrid option if the exhaust housing is good. Is all you would need is the HX 40 compressor housing , compressor wheel and turbine wheel. You’ll want to get a balanced rotating assembly. That would get you the 60/60/12. Turbo lab should be able to send you one. The Holset rebuild kit you posted will work for either the HX35 and the hybrid build.
  8. I’m not a tuning guru like Mike and Nick are but here is what I would try. Low psi timing reduction 5.0 low psi scale 50% your 1500 timing try dropping to 15* possibly 14* and like Nick said raise your 2500 rpm timing to 24*. Just my .02.
  9. Don’t quote me but I believe 2000-2002 are year specific. If you still have the original pcm and ecm you need to replace them with the same part number. You should get ahold of@Auto Computer Specialist
  10. I’m not sure. I’ll probably get some dynamate or something similar to put down first. Quiet down the cab a bit. It’s not to bad until I’m towing with overdrive off.
  11. I thought about pulling my carpet out and pressure washing it but it has a hole next to the throttle pedal. Probably just buy a new one. Once it cools off over here.
  12. You have a Quadzilla and you’re running it on level 1? Stock?
  13. No problem. Here are some pics. It’s pretty rough. The compressor bearing is toast. Looks like the wheel cut a groove in the housing. The turbine wheel seems fine. A little play. If you still want it. I’ll be more the happy to ship it to you. I was going to use it for my hybrid build but it was to rough for me personally. It looked better on eBay. ?
  14. I’ve got a used Hx35 I’ll give you. Needs a lot of TLC. Soaked in tranny fluid for awhile to get everything apart. The wastegate diaphragm is toast. I can send you pics if you’re interested.
  15. One of these years you’ll have to have a Moparman meetup. Stereo looks good btw.
  16. I have the MBRP 4” exhaust with the muffler. Sounds great. No drone not to loud. IMHO if you’re not doing a turbo and injectors at the same time I would wait on those and just do the exhaust. A bigger turbo is going to need more fuel to light it. You could do an HX 35 and when you do get bigger injectors you could convert to an Hx35/40 hybrid. Just my .2.
  17. Every truck is different. The XZT has tunes that are “safe” for multiple trucks. It would definitely be better than a stock truck. The Quadzilla V2 allows you to dial in YOUR truck with the upgrades you’ve done. If you change something like injectors or turbo you just modify your tune. You can make multiple tunes. Tow, daily, economy or balls to the wall. You can change timing in .1 degree increments. You can add fuel or pull fuel. All without a download. Making a tune is very easy. I was worried at first about making a tune but there is so much info on here and knowledgeable people that within a short period of time it will be easy. Buy a tune on here to start out with. Then tweak it to your liking.
  18. I’d get ahold of @dieselautopower good injectors at a reasonable price.
  19. I’d talk to @Dynamic a lot of guys on here including myself are running his transmissions or at least his valve body’s.
  20. Ok that makes since. My air dog didn’t come with any of that. I ordered one from glacier for $21. I have 1/4 issues as well. Not as bad as yours. Maybe moving it to the filler neck will help. No foaming and spraying in the basket.
  21. Ok so I need to buy a T 1 1/2” to 3/8”. Air dog sells those I take it? Thanks found the filler adapter on Glacier website.
  22. Sorry not quite understanding what you mean. When I get off work I’ll look at the filler neck. Probably will make since then. Thank you!
