Hx-hy35 turbo questions
And drill the waste gate port to 7/8” through to both sides. There is a write up on here about it some where. Dap gives the info. Found it. Yes. I switched from an HY to Hx.

Instead of bolts like the original center console has. It uses studs. Width wise it’s the same on the mounting. Length wise it’s longer. The rear studs slide right into the factory mounting holes. I just used nuts and washers for the rear. On the front end the metal framing on the center consul I could’ve just drilled a hole in and mounted it with bolts and nuts . As you can see in the pictures. I kind of did an overkill with it. I paid $200 for mine on eBay. It must’ve been out of a wrecked brand new truck. Because it was in excellent condition. It still had the plastic film over the chrome handle. They have some on sale on eBay right now starting at around $250 all the way up to $700. If you’re patient you can find them pretty cheap. I put one in my brother-in-law’s truck and we got it for about $200 as well. I still need to hook up power to it so I can use the USB charger inside of it. If you needed more room upfront you could just use the front mounting studs from the front factory mounting. It’s just going to be closer to the backseat. You’ll just basically reverse the mounting that I did.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
Yes I understand that. My point was in regards to the quad and throttle input. I guess I should have worded it better.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
If you tune it that way yes. When I first got my Quad my fuel curve started at 86% I believe. After replacing my cracked exhaust manifold and installing the 4” MBRP exhaust I’m starting out at 93% and maxing out at 133%. Truck takes off much better and pulls much harder with no black smoke at all. Probably could try and add more on the big end but I’m just going to wait till my 7X.010’s show up. I’ll have to reprogram the whole fuel curve and probably make tweaks to the timing curve since they’ll be set at 325 bar. Once I retuned I had to take out slack on the tv cable. It would bounce off the rev limiter in first gear. Now it shifts at about 2,900-3,000 rpms as per Dynamics instructions.

Seat covers
I had to take the handles off the back of the seats to get them on. The outside of the seat back is strong Velcro. So you’ll be pulling while sticking the Velcro together. It’s a tight fit. Be careful if you’re pulling from the back. I made the mistake of pulling on the map pocket and it tore partially. Not the cover just the stitching that holds the pocket on.

Seat covers
Still very happy. They haven’t moved around at all. I want to say I got them in a week or less. I’ll take another picture later today and post it up. I need to replace the drivers seat belt. Cheapest I’ve been able to find is factory for $250. Not looking forward to tearing the seat apart.

Interesting. DAP is building me some 7x.010 VCO’s set at 325 bar. The coldest time of the year here is December and January. It might drop into the 20’s. I’m hoping by then they’ll settle down to 310-315 bar causing no issues. I’m running a Quadzilla V2.

Headlight upgrade problems.
No not at all. Your shroud is shaped differently and looks to have louvers cut into them. I’ll take a front picture tomorrow night.

Headlight upgrade problems.
I’ll take one Later when I’m off work My phone makes the picture look a lot brighter than it actually is. They’re more of a yellow color. Also my driveway slopes up. Your shroud is shorter than mine.

Headlight upgrade problems.
Got them dialed in as good as I could. I always park in my street and walk out about 30’ in front and check them out. Still not super happy probably will just buy some from the retro shop. This pick looks better than it actually is. Or maybe the white light burned in my eyes were hindering its appearance! it’s scattered pretty good.?

What mpgs with 7x0.010?
I ordered their 7x10 SACS and some head studs. Getting them set at 325 bar. Looking forward to dialing in a new tune.

Thanks! Mine just came in. They are a lot brighter than the silver stars. The true test will be tonight.

Want to drop an inch off my 2 in. level kit.....
I put a 2.5” level in mine a couple years back. The nose of the truck sat a little higher than the back. Of coarse was worse when pulling my trailer. Those were a pita putting them in. I used my air jack to lift the front of the truck. Barley lifted it high enough. I took them out and replaced with a 1” spacer. The front sits slightly lower than the back now. With my Timbrens it sits level with the trailer. Truck handles and drives much better now. I unbolted the sway bar links and unbolted one bolt on each of the upper trailing arms. Made it much easier to remove the 2.5” and reinstall the 1” spacers.
