  1. I could be wrong but, I would keep track of the amount of fuel in the tank. Your gauge could be off and ran out of fuel. That's what I think
  2. Weld on a longer shaft to keep motor separate? Probably not a good idea knowing my usual results
  3. Makes a lot of sense to me
  4. When you opened it up did you see an easy way of installing a better shaft seal? I think that is the problem anyhow. TIA
  5. Yes I did get the outerwear cover when Eric at Vulcan performance recommended it . Still it's sitting on my workbench not installed. Just doing my winter hybernation (rest) for now. Actually lazy..... that is the word
  6. Thank you Jeff and all others too, for the information.
  7. What? That's incredible. I'll give you some of our constant rain for a couple of your blizzards - - - Updated - - - Never a bad huntin' season around here. Just drive up my road, roll down the window and pick one off. I have to drive slow so I don't rear end 'em.
  8. I'm short by about 400 ft of the 1000ft level. I go from 550 in the canyon to 650 at the top. We are in a pocket SO when it does snow, we'll get say 5-6 inches, drive out the road and it's only an inch or so around. Interesting how it does that. Have you see any accumulation lately? I know Nebraska get's some monster Blizzards... how bad have you seen it before?
  9. There's a major windstorm coming in tonight in the PNW, but everytime this happens, the deer are hiding down in the bottom of the canyon for protection. I've seen this everytime this happens and I don't know how they know. They don't have the weather channel
  10. No doubt It's an evil mind and soul that commits these acts. But certainly teaching children about the ten commandments, God, loving others as yourself, as commanded, gives them a choice. Without a seed of truth planted in them they have little choice. No doubt some are pulled up by their boot straps just knowing there might be a real hell when they die.I believe there is a hell but not fire like we know it..... more likely something much worse and just knowing what you missed out on for eternity that would make me burn. That's all I have to say about all that except not laying down God's law is destroying America and it's children.
  11. Ah.... they might have been a couple inches, but, I wasn't measuring. All I saw was real gold for the first time. And hard rock nuggets come out of a vein. They were beautiful bright gold in a crystall form.
  12. Having the right tools for the job is what many people agree with. At schools, shopping centers, stores, any public place needs many fire escapes, but why not reduce the number of entrances as needed and install equipment that can detect guns on a person that will automatically stun gun the crazy guy? Stop him in his tracks. There are other problems like some crazy guy slipping the gun under the fence at a school, walking thru the detector and go get the gun after inside. This is one issue but, then the detector could have a code reader that will not allow anyone not authorized. Then schools become like a prison in a sense with guards. I just don't know the solution, but, want to carry these thoughts thinking perhaps being the right equipment. Perhaps made in America. How do you stop a student that suddenly goes crazy Lots of problems.....................This is a very sad thing and needs to stop somehow.
  13. I don't know..... how far from town are you?.......
  14. After all the knuckle breaking stories I just went to the right shop and had them all done at Source automotive. Those guys keep doing good work. They found worn tie rods too btw.
  15. There is enough reason to get mine installed and quit letting it sit on the workbench. Yeah I'm a lazy ole' dog on weekendsThanks everyone. BTW I have the outerwear cover for it. Vulcan performance is cool honest folks to do biz with.
  16. It's okay man..... just when we were young, growing up all my buds, everyone in school knew we had to go to work to get anywhere. This wrongful mindset is becoming so prevalent it's weakening America, selling it short.
  17. Sheesh! I'm lucky to make 400 miles in a day anymoreGlad you made it back
  18. Wondering why you hear of this happening from time to time. Seems to be a fairly common problem.Anyone know what to do, on a low miles truck, to help stop this?
  19. Good luck on the run and drive careful.
  20. Hey you guys..... I couldn't work for the gov't. I like to work hard and enjoy what I do
  21. I don't know..... It makes me mad there's people actually like that. I've worked hard all my life, raised 3 children.Actually, that lady is extremely immature, weak cannot stand on her own two feet is my thought :ashamed:Sorry Bud (I mean that sincerely)......... just can't see the humor.
  22. Cool! These elderly folks with the Impala had all these old miners tools on display. One Saturday when I asked about them. They said, OK 'hold your hands'. She says, 'no, both hands! So I did and out comes all these hard rock mine nuggets out of an old leather pouch. Couldn't believe what I was holding. Some were 2 1/2'' inches long. They were beautiful and I'd never seen a real nugget in my life at the time. They were from her great great uncle, a miner in the California gold rush days. Man! I couldn't believe it:)
  23. I used to have a Saturday job driving an elderly couple to town in their 1958 Chevy Impala with 29,000 original. It was a blast that car.... so tight... felt like it had a real frame, like a solid hunk of iron compared to today.
  24. I know your right Mike. Others too on here. I only pulled one up since it sticks like it will tear the gasket. Silicone is a good thing even if the do tear. The gaskets don't seem to be the highest quality. I put on the rubber washers for now and it stoped the leak.I need to clear out my shop, get the truck inside and work out of the rain.
  25. I like the Cardinal too! About the best 5th wheel you can buy.... What's it like in winter?
