Injector Tips/ Nozzles and Wear Factors
What I have read in a diesel marine book where lives depend on those engines to stay running at sea, says that you want your big filter before the lift pump. Called a 'pre filter', it needs to remove any water before it can get emulsified by the lift pump, because once the water becomes mixed, the secondary filter has a harder time removing the water. Also the lift pump needs protection from any dirt or sediment in the fuel. BTW, I'm not arguing with Tractorman nor Moparman otherwise I'd get the snot beat out of me if I try to act like I know anything....

Injector Tips/ Nozzles and Wear Factors
Anyone know what type of steel is used on diesel fuel injector tips? Has to be pretty good steel to help stop premature wear. To also fight against dirty fuel wearing out the tip. Another question too is how do they adjust them to get a balanced flow match?

Acceptable AC voltage with grid heaters on
It's great, finally a real November weather pattern. Ski lifts, lodges and restaurants won't be suffering like the last couple years. This a real good thing and on this Sunday like everyday we need to be very thankful . Like Mike Nelson when he needs some work and wants to see a broken truck come in his road

Acceptable AC voltage with grid heaters on
I wouldn't replace it I would change it and go to the Timbo APPS. The spike in volts AC cannot really be properly seen on a voltmeter, you would need a scope to see it clearly. My source tells me it occurs only for a millisecond and is when the grid heater relays first make contact. I have been told this is a negligible AC spike and is common on most our trucks. On a scope you would mostly see a flat line with just a small short spike each time the solenoid first touches contacts. I am wondering about the condition of your batteries and post clamps. Is everything very clean and bright including all other electrical connectors and terminals for good Positive / negative connections for a well balanced system?

I find that it's so important to have a project that motivates you into a steam engine. A goal you get real excited about, sometimes I wish I had no garage like Drpley so I could turn into a garage building monster. Always liked that feeling of nothing can stop you from getting it done. Those were my best times building my home and my garage and then quitting the smokes.

Dripley too ...... you got to quit smoking Bud. Got so bad for me I had to quit. I just couldn't breath. Had to take a nap/ recuperate everytime I smoked. I felt like I was dieing. I got a garage sale bicycle and put good gears, good grips, good handlebar and seat. I could not believe how one day I got to feeling so much better. What I did was ride that Bike everytime I wanted to smoke. I persevered, made the decision to just suffer and never smoke again. I must say now that it's been a few years, still riding the bike, there are times when my whole body feels oxygenated. It's wonderful to feel so good. Now the bicycle is my smoke and I'm many times stronger. Please quit Dave you deserve a good retirement

Doc says what I already knew that I need doppler studies on my leg veins. Funny two previous Docs said I might need an Xray on my hip also. So I call my regular Doc to tell him to order them for me and says no you got to come see me again. I just saw him two days ago about the leg This medical system what a weird deal. Thank you everyone.... getting old is like going downhill alright but then MoparMan comes along and puts in neutral with the brake lines pecked to death.- Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
Yes we are cutting the hours back. Biggest stress is the homeowner so we try to leave before she gets there........ Different when a check is due. I go to the Doc again this morning....... will report back.- Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
I got some things going one with my leg which hurts like you wouldn't believe. I have a seriously swollen leg from varicose veins and a hip acting up for the first time ever. It's bad enough that I'm goin to the doc for the third time tomorrow. To top that off there is some sciatica in the same leg. It's like an army of hurt even down into my foot. At first we couldn't figure out what was wrong. Tonight is the first time in weeks that it isn't hurting when sitting down. I even got some sleep a little bit ago. God is good to teach me how to treat myself by massaging the sciatica away. It like you find this button and push that area and the pain goes away. It is like Magic sometimes. Other times to no avail the only relief is to go out and ride my bicycle even at midnite with all the lights on outside. Back in bed and all hell breaks loose with pain. Pray for me all you Truck Mugs. I know it will help I know it willl help and the Doc too, to know what to do. Thanks everyone.- Happy Birthday - Fifty Years Old... Ugh!
Unfortunately for me someone keeps taking it out of gear and putting it in neutral. Lol Happy Birthday Mike Nelson- Transmission Issues
Actually I find that things like that are best hidden. Especially from your girlfriend or your wife. Whichever your most likely to get trouble with.- W-T ground mod
Yes Dave..... want sticker shock? Go ask Dripley what happened when he saw the price of a new one!- Transmission Issues
Yes Dynamic would be the very best one. That is thee go to shop Don't know what possessed me to say Georend instead of Dynamic except they have great upgrades on the parts.- W-T ground mod
All that you describe is a good improvement..... an avenue for making your truck better than new, for guys that believe their truck is part of building a good savings account.- Diesel fuel
I wonder too where he is. I hope he's okay.- Diesel fuel
This time you said it not me.......- Diesel fuel
He pours beer in that jar so the cops think it's apple juice and just go on by.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Beautiful scene . At some point does the snow get to where you need a snowmobile to get around?- Hard start
Bla bla bla, so what! You always have the best set up. At least I'm half way there with my return going into the filler neck on both trucks. Helps cool the fuel with the fill neck always in the wind and dumps away from the draw straw.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
I sometimes have to run a fan in the woodshed 24/7 to help season it. Also a fireplace insert will help you get a lot more heat. I'm sure you already know that. I just hope you guys get thru the winter real well in your new place, esp, now that you are further up north. Out in the PNW we have an unusual early cold snap hitting this weekend. Already winterizing the RV today.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Do you have a woodstove?- Hard start
Your very welcome Tractorman. Dieselfuture, yes even with Biodiesel because them stickers aren't very removable so it may always say bio when sometimes they can't get it. I really don't know the truth about it so I like the insurance the VP will always be okay. Mopar1973Man, Sorry I called you Wacky..... just between friends is all boss. - Sorry Everyone I haven't felt like participating much Lately.......
