  1. Weird that someone would do that. I hope all is well with the owner. He may have gotten sick in the hospital or some other kind of emergency.
  2. You really need to get a fuel pressure gauge and maintain at least 15 psi at all times. When I bought my two second gens I did not drive them until they were set up properly. Otherwise it's an expensive prospect causing a slow death to the injection pumps. You should be putting two stroke oil in the tank to help the low lubricity of our fuel these days and if you been running around with a weak fuel system you should dump in some 2 stroke oil to help it some anyway. IBMobile is a good guy, I can confirm that, me and him probably drank all the coffee in Brazil by now.
  3. I can take Driply Airlines.... he faster than a speeding bullet. I think IBMobile might have a picture
  4. Amazing. The corn is still standing. Did you take those Videos DieselFuture?
  5. My doc says I need to get drunk at least once a year. Can I come over ?
  6. It could be that A/C ripple becomes elevated when charging the Fifth wheel batteries and truck batteries same time. If you do the W-T wiring changes because the factory set up is wrong in the first place, you may see some good results Place a load on the truck batteries and fifth wheel batteries and then have the RV hooked up. Start the engine and see what the A/C volts is showing How old are any of the 4 batteries?
  7. No hoarding
  8. That's the one dieselfuture uses to go grocery shopping. Even the fuel tank is longer so he can make it to all the stores having a special.
  9. Here I am a forum moderator and can't move this thread to the second Gen forum. Sheesh! Your question is an important one, but I think the single most important advice I can give is to stay away from anything modified, played with or molested except for the required fuel system modifications, i.e. fuel pressure gauge, aftermarket lift pump, big line kit etc.. Try to find a lower miles original truck with service records that show the owner was faithful to maintaining the truck. If you see anything not tight or right you should walk away. Anything done halfway you should see as a sign to look elsewhere. Large wheels and tires or lifted suspension means that I would also walk away. You can bullet proof these trucks starting with a good tight truck, but you will have some added expense. Being a member of this forum will help and all the articles you will find are gold. Just about everyone here has had to get involved in mods to increase reliability, but it's a good feeling knowing your truck is reliable and will last a long time. BTW, welcome to the forum
  10. I have an extra VP core I'll look at that today sometime. BTW, I think it's wise to save your VP44 cores if they are in good shape. As I understand many have been beat up after getting R&R and rebuilt a few times. From my first VP purchase in 07, the core was worth $200. Now they are at least double that. I think Mopar Man hangs onto all of them to create a shortage.
  11. So there is a possibility that the 24 valve VP44 trucks, depending on the year, may not be alike, that some have an open orifice with an additional overflow valve that opens at the 14 psi? Am I understanding this correct? Don't know about the one on either of my 2 VP44 trucks, but one truck has the fuel return in the fill neck and at idle you can look in there and see a good steady flow returning back to the tank.
  12. Interesting points Wil, however my day is running short so I have to read in depth when I get more time, Thank you for the report it's very interesting.
  13. Yes I know Wil.... flow and pressure are two important measures, that when you begin to restrict the flow pressure will increase, if measured before the restriction like a banjo bolt.. That's why it's important to pay attention to the amount that it drops at WOT. Additionally, the gauge designs available are perhaps more cost effective being made for measuring psi rather than flow. Not sure on that, but the overflow valve opens at a certain point represented by psi., 14 being the minimum required to keep it open for cooling. Further more your non electric lift pump being that it's mechanical, will increase the required pressure (and flow) when needed, if the regulator is adjusted properly. I believe the regulator for your L/P is on the return line. Unlike the electrical pumps that typically drop or lose pressure at WOT, yours will keep up with demand as RPM goes up. I don't think I'M able to contribute much here.... just thinking out loud hoping I hit on something is all.
  14. Mopar1973Man can't access the site for awhile. He will be able to make some points about what to check. I hope you find out where it is and report back.
  15. You cannot break MoparMans rules around here. No ones ever found out what happens when you do. MoparMan say 14 p.s.i. minimum pressure at WOT. So at idle you should be set at 19 to allow a drop of 5 when gettin' on it and that's if you have half inch line kit all the way.
  16. You will get busey and do it. Sometimes it takes just the correct alignment of the gravitational pull, or something and suddenly you'll find yourself and it will seem like a natural time to get started. Lots of times in my building, or major changes I make around this place, just the talking of it will bring better ideas. Almost as if delays bring some form of good progress. So lets have another doughnut and coffee BTW, I been in the building game since 77 and still going.
  17. I don't know how else to get him down there. Any suggestions are welcome.
  18. Can't let the 'green new deal' take away our economy. This eco squad is dangerously extreme, doesn't consider all the trade offs and will hurt a lot of families, peoples lives with their policies. Next the Dems are too sneaky, dark, will push money grabbing policy under this 'new deal'. It's nothing but a bunch of horse chit because there is no way you can change peoples basic needs that will always impact the rest of the planet. Any extreme new deal to reduce climate change will only stall the problem for a day by comparison. Back in the 70's they were talking about high taxes as a way to reduce consumption. Raise prices so high that waste and pollution will be reduced. Imagine rich retirement benefit packages as compared to those in an oppressed poverty stricken private sector. I am a Trumper all the way. So what if he's a rich guy...... I see the writing on the wall from A.O.C., Obama and Pelosi. Their policies hurt my wife and me in the past cause we pay our taxes, work hard and are honest people. We can't have that same situation where we can't afford the income tax because we just get by paying for our basic needs. This time around it will get worse if Biden gets in there. Believe me, it will be a lot worse.
  19. You will never know the true meaning of slowing down until you meet up with IBMobile and his gang. What we need to do someday is tell you, ''if you want your RV back, come get it, it's up in the mountains'', cause The IBMobile gang stole it. You'll look out the window and it won't be there
  20. That isn't enough pressure at WOT. You need to stay above 14 to have the return fuel cooling that you need, esp. during hard pulls when the injection pump gets the hottest. Mopar1973Man calls this a slow death to the VP44.
  21. I wish I was there. It's pretty interesting area. Wife and I are talking about how I need a lot more time off. It's just that I got involved in a summer long project. At first I almost quit the job due to the amount of unbelievable number of problems. You guys wouldn't believe the stuff causing multiple amount of work. The lady has become a very nice lady now that we have gotten to the final stages where she can see the results. We are making leaps and bounds now and everyone is happy.
  22. Mine was leaking out the cap on hot days. Same for another guy that was saying the same thing that the synthetic was foaming up and leaking out the top at the cap. So we both reported the problem stopped when we went back to the non synthetic power steering fluid.
  23. No your not Dave I just like that bewildered face so to me it means different. Sometimes I think Mopie Man gets tired of my kiddin' around...... uses a picture of me for target practice and has his dog snarl at it the same time.
  24. Thanks, have I at least gotten a smile or two?
