150amp breaker tripped again
More often they trip the more likely they will trip again too. So I also went with fuses to both my trucks because some people tested the breakers and found a lot of them tripped at even half the amps they were rated for. That was not good.

Replaced lift pump and injection pump, still losing all fuel pressure
On both my trucks I completed my fuel system modifications by removing those screens using a straight piped draw straw. Then adding a pre lift pump large canister type filter. You either have clogged screens, or an old in tank lift pump you are drawing thru, or a clogged tank vent. The clogged tank vent is very rare and can test to see if she runs better by removing the fuel cap and go for a run, but most likely you have clogged screens in the tank. So dumb for Dodge to put those screens in the tank when it needs an accessible pre lift pump filter, esp. on a diesel fuel system.

Squealing brake help needed
If you have and 02 then you have separate brake drums for the E brake at the rear. Those brake shoes might be adjusted a bit too close or the E brake isn't springing all the way to the off position.

New front end noise, how can I diagnose the front end?
I think your right....but might be able to tell if someone is watching for slight movement on the back side while another is trying to wiggle. I'm not sure, but hope there is an easier way to tell. When my drivers wheel bearing left me stranded there was no warning except I heard it throwing pieces and coming apart seconds before the whole wheel collapsed. Almost lost control at 62 mph throwing me into the fast lane. I was glad no one was alongside at that moment. I was hauling my camper from a long run and just got off a two lane highway which could have been a disaster if it went into the oncoming lane. As it was, I was on the freeway with little traffic and the wheel just collapsed. A week later I replaced the passenger bearing as a precaution. You couldn't tell if anything was wrong until it was taken off and spin hand..... you could feel a slight click or grab when turning. IBMobiles wheel bearing gave a warning when I drove his truck I could feel a possible bad bearing with a slight difference in noise and feel in steering on turns. Not being sure, I told him to check it and turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. Now his truck is two wheel drive so there might be a difference making it easier to tell.

New front end noise, how can I diagnose the front end?
Kitt, so are you saying there is not enough play with the brake caliper and pads to check the bearing? I always thought there was, but I could always be wrong, of course.

Economy Car Or Diesel Truck to go shopping...
Mike all we got to do is stack a new retaining wall in front of the leaner. Then bust it down for better drainage with a drain pipe coming out the end. The new dry stack walls are engineered to handle it from Mutual materials. Will look nice,. add value, have some good looking choices. We can step the end to soften the look and go along with the stairs and railing. There is a Mutual Materials in Boise. Each pallet of block weights around 3400 lbs. Your trailer can handle that. I think I can arrange it so we are paying what the retailers pay if we pick it up ourselves. Michael Nelson is 'Moose Matter'

New member!
You get better response if you become a full member. A lot of the guys that donate really appreciate when you help out and become a full fledged member. This site is not a get rich prospect for the owner either. Mostly it helps a lot of us truck owners keep their rigs in top shape.

New front end noise, how can I diagnose the front end?
Making sure if it's a wheel bearing is the most important as that item going bad can leave you stranded. Jack up the front and see if there is any wiggle at all in the wheel. Use a shovel under the tire and pry up and down to see for any wiggle in the wheel. Pry up or lift a lot harder in order to check the ball joints. Another way is to have the wife turn the steering wheel back and forth (key on but engine off) going left to right in rapid motion while you look for any looseness or movement under the front.

2002 Ram 3500 APPS/Voltage/dead pedal issues
Very important to make sure the ECM isn't powering the lift pump. The factory lift pump power lead should only be a trigger wire to activate a relay then the lift pump runs off the batteries. This is important because excess load from the lift pump can fry an ECM. If your experiencing electrical problems now this is an important precaution. Also there is an important ground for the power dist. box. It's down low on the fender in front of the driver side battery. Sometimes hidden by the wire harness running over the top of it, you can't see it right away, you have to move the small area of wire harness to see it. I kept looking and looking on both my 2nd gens. finally found it by feel and moving the wires covering it.

Every one of these trucks had too high of A/C volts noise. came from the factory that way. Then as time passes a little deterioration on the grounds and other connections things like your transmission start doing the dance. Drives guys nuts, especially when a new truck payment is 1500 bucks a month for 50 years.( a little sarcasm there) You need to get on it and do the W-T wiring modifications. It has shown significant results on every truck . I did it to both my second gen trucks and was a huge improvement. Without accomplishing it you are slowly killing your more sensitive electronics and can get not only expensive but difficult to find replacements. I want to say again..... both my trucks shifted fine and yet I still did the W-T recommendations to both trucks. A good volt meter can tell you the same thing you go to the doctor for....... checking high blood pressure. It the same thing on your truck. Also do you have a fuel pressure gauge? These guys will get your truck running so nice.... if you listen to them and don't get lazy...... you will be very happy. Remember short cuts or being lazy is for guys that love the dealership and don't mind huge payments.- New front end, still wobbles
I think some of the excessive steering you are experiencing is in the frame where the steering box is mounted. It's not as solid as you'd think and you can see the frame flexing a little bit. with the vehicle sitting still, have someone run the wheel left to right back and forth in rapid motion. Also watch the shaft coming out of the steering box. It might be moving side to side a little also. Look everywhere for any looseness or clicking motion.- New front end, still wobbles
I had the 2 inch level kit on my 02 truck with just a hundred thousand miles. I measured it and compared it to my stock 01 truck. The level kit was more around 2.5 inches like yours. Nothing worn steered okay, but not as good as the 01. However, after getting new tires and giving them a chance to break in The leveling kit had to go. Made me work twice as hard driving it. For some reason new tires made the problem show up. I replaced it with a 1 inch level spacer. It is a lot better, not perfect like the 01 is. I must say though that I have all the things that go along with the level kit, i.e. adjustable track bar, longer end links, realignment, shocks, everything. I had to go with a 1 inch spacer because by this time I have air bags in the rear and did not want to be starring at the road. My 01 is staying stock and is easy to drive. BTW, both have 4wd- New front end, still wobbles
Worn or tired out steering stabilizer?- Mopar1973Man Shop Stuff
Interesting about the 54 KW.... way you talk about it, I would like to have ridin in one. Something about the good older trucks generates an affinity and interest. The new stuff looks way too different.... I feel will never make the level of a classic style.- Mopar1973Man Shop Stuff
Thanks Russ Roth for the pics. I enjoyed that. Makes a guy want to own any one of those rigs as they so cool looking.- Moose Horns (Towing Mirrors)
Looks like you need to try saving that barn. I'd hate to see it go.... especially dealing with what a new one cost. Can you get it pulled back to plumb and stick some diagonal braces on the wall framing inside? BTW, nice truck- Hi from New Zealand
