Ground Reference VP44,ECM,PCM,PDC plus TC lock/unlock
I think it is critical when you have a chance of smokin the alternator with a bad cell. It can happen with old marginal batteries as I had, but because it started just fine, no slow cranking, I tried staying with the old batteries even tho I knew one was weak from load testing each one seperatly. It was a big mistake running with old batteries.

MoparMan, what about the battery temperature sensor? How else are we to make that effective for the battery now taking the brunt of alternator charge?

Rock Slide Highway 95 closed north of Pollock, Idaho
Nice photos and very interesting. You can see a smooth straight downslope of the newly exposed rock face. No wonder it gave way as the rock cleavage was sloped downward. I am glad no one was caught in that slide.

Ground Reference VP44,ECM,PCM,PDC plus TC lock/unlock
I forgot about doing that after my recent conversation with W-T. I'm doing the battery to battery paralleling cables as he says. So far I have added only a negative to negative cable like IBMobile has done but that's only half right as W-T explains it. I am using #4 marine braided cable that is tin coated. W-T likes the quality of that stuff, but is expensive.

01 Idles fine but misses/defuels at 1600 rpm and above HELP!!
I would start by pulling apart any of the large connection blocks, blowing them out and reconnecting them. The ones I know of are the main pin connection blocks on the VP, The ECM, the computer or PCM. There is also one up high near the firewall just to the driver side of the valve cover. It has a white bail that clips in place to keep it tightly connected..That one has caused similar symptoms your having. Be careful that you line up the connector blocks before trying to force them back together. Just do it so you don't damage or bend any of the pins. Next I would be thinking about changing the factory fuel filter and getting a look down in the bowl for water. That plastic screw cap has to be torqued the right amount or it leaks air. Also use a socket on it, not the square inset for a ratchet. It's been known to cause a crack in the plastic.

Tragic day friday
I am sorry to hear about this... so young too. Prayers from Oregon. Do you know what particular part failed on the steering?

Homemade Cherry Jelly (No Sugar)
How come she's standing on the side of the stove? Is that because the rock slide is nearer the front ?

Amazing..... I would like watching that. It's going to be a while using a hydraulic splitter to get them to movable size.

I get massive heat from MoparMan when he's trying to make up a loss and don't donate to the site.

Ground wire/ fuse box/ hot alternator
The main charge wire off the Alternator gets pulled out of the wire harness going across the front. Gets cut shorter to go the passenger battery positive post. You will need to solder a new ring terminal. Very important to complete all the items to the W-T modifications at the same time. Your truck looks clean, nice

Coronavirus; Is it hype, blown out of proportion?
darn good post, not taking disagreements as a personal attack. Other thoughts are go ahead and loot, destroy and hurt others.... gun sales are way up. Even the most benign client of mine, including chickens, are buying new guns for protection.Without police what are we going to do?

Ground wire/ fuse box/ hot alternator
Make sure neither of your batteries have an internal shorted cell. That is what caused my alternator to get smokin hot. I changed the batteries and the alternator at the same time and all is well. Most of these paralleled two battery systems, the batteries last longer than 5-6 yrs if taken care of and were never over discharged or never allowed to sit for very long in a discharged state.

Coronavirus; Is it hype, blown out of proportion?
When I take the number of deaths in my state of 237 people and divide that by the ( 42 one hundred thousand people) in Oregon it comes to 5.6 people per capita deaths from the C virus. This boils down to less than .0056 % of deaths for oregon. Now the worse case flu seasons only caused around 2.3% deaths. Just thought is all this is to get us thinking. You will have to do your own calcs to see what percent your own state is. Now some recent observations by a few doctors and others that say this is overblown fake news....... One doctor expressed how his hospital instructed him to right down the cause of death as Coronavirus in all cases that were questionable and is for the sake of causing fear among patients and get them admitted to the hospital. Another tells of the fallacy in giving the percent of deaths based on the number of cases. Saying there is a very large number of cases never tested and really don't know how many with mild low effect symptoms. Another says the percentile per capita is lower than the 2017-2018 flu season. Another tells of an increased death rate in suicide, increased fear and stress causing heart attacks as all collateral damage. Just a deterioration in general health from fear created by the media. I am sorry but I think this whole thing about the coronavirus is a smelly big pile of BS. I am sorry that I think very different from most and believe me, I do not want to heat up and stir the big pot of chicken soup as it were. Thank you for reading Appreciate any and all thoughts.

Trump's Speech
I didn't get the speech though wish I had. I cannot understand a group of people that want to give it away when so many have worked so hard to build it. They want to let the criminals run wild, tear down the wall and build a wall or place a sophisticated security system around their own places. They cram the healthcare scam down our throats when we had an affordable policy, but because we work and earn our way, we have to pay almost double now for some bums that won't work. Recent check on price would be nearly a grand a month just for the wife when we were paying a perfect $270 a month. We find the only thing affordable is paying our own doctor bills and getting the 37% discount for paying ourselves. We just wait to see what's next from the people we elect as we become slaves to a top heavy expensive government.

Cooking oil down the tank....
It runs good. It was outdated unused oil, nice and clear. I would love to have all the chicks following me with a fried chicken smell. Human chicks that is.

Cooking oil down the tank....
It was outdated, like me, so I decided to see if there was some use in the tank. It works good.

Cooking oil down the tank....
I poured a gallon of my wife's cooking oil in the tank. Man! I cannot believe how smooth the Cummins seems to love it. I'm pretty sure it has more power up the hills to boot.

Replaced lift pump and injection pump, still losing all fuel pressure
When at idle have someone watch the gauge and turn up the regulator for fuel pressure to 22 psi and then back down to around 7. Do this a few times as it eliminated problems on both my rigs when both got new Raptor 150's that were not behaving correctly. Mike the MoparMan gets the credit for this and solving my F/P issues.

Vulcan diesel
Eric is a good man. I am concerned about him because I've noticed he is getting older and still putting on some weight. I want him to be around a long while. I'm having to cut back now for the first time ever as I never gained weight even if I ate everything in the fridge, but now I do. Its weird to see these changes. Keep trying during business hours you'll get him to answer.
