coronavirus protection
I'm sorry, I had no idea how difficult pain management can be. Can you get her to ride bicycles with you. That helps a lot. Back to the Coronavirus protection; if the economy tanks for any length of time I think the retail rate of mortgages will have to be dropped too near an all time low. I remember last time when Obama gave the stimulus money (850 billion) to all the failing banks. At the same time many folks lost their homes while the banks were saved from bankruptcy. That didn't work so well for many families. The handing out of monies to each family is more effective in many ways, but a more long lasting effect would be to expedite lower interest rates on all mortgages and student loans. Renters would receive a corresponding drop in what they pay for rent. Somehow this needs to be done quickly without flooding the banking system with mortgage and refinance applications. Any thoughts?

smoke or steam from defroster
Mark of a real cowboy right there. I have to do mine also it's getting worse each month. When in there with the work, I'm also changing the evaporator core along with the heater treater (still learning about that), the A/C system O rings and the foam gasket to the two piece plenum.

So are you saying that CBD/ THC cannot fully take the place of pain pills? That she has to have some of them to help?

What about CBD treatments? Might be healthier for her.

I think we are at the threshold now where the risk of becoming infected is far more likely. Now is the time to hunker down. I think ones that aren't getting tested, possibly carry[ng the virus is a far greater number than we suppose. Please be careful out there especially around the elderly.

Spare tire winch
When my campers on it's in the way so I have to make the attachment tool and crank handle a lot shorter to turn it so I found a hex head bolt that fit in there perfect and put the bolt shaft in my cordless drill and turn it. Pretty sure its hex head in there.

Yeah they very good for sure, but I like having a prefilter set up on the system. I think it's important from what I have read in the past anyway. You can't have a prefilter on the mechanical pumps if I'm not mistaken.

I don't think so, but I would not go for the bottom like Moparman said. Try to go for at least a Raptor 150 or AirDog it will be money ahead instead of having to do it twice. I like the AirDog with its prefilters as it protects the pump from the larger debri. Water separation too is good before the lift pump since you want the water filtered before the lift pump can emulsify it so small the factory filter cannot get it. An Air Dog goes out and you get a free one sent to you. It's a good deal that way. Rich guys on here go for the mechanical pumps they the best, but I'm okay with both my trucks on the 150 Raptors and everything half inch.

Yep new still. I have 1/2 in lines all the way including the draw straw and when hauling heavy going uphill the pump can hold at 15/16 so I really suggest you go 1/2 inch lines. At idle Im adjusted to 19 and then my draw down goes to 15/16 again just to help you what we talking about.

Hmm still have the old fuel system. Need to upgrade that to get long life out of the VP44. Banjo bolts are bad and need at least 3/8 I.D. fuel line all the way to stay above 14 psi fuel pressure to cool the VP44 with more return flow. Others will squak about this very thing...... as they tell you need to redo all that. With these trucks it's an investment in your future savings down the road too

Used Pacbrake install
Yes that road was so steep I should have creeped the truck down that mountain, but being the nights were hot in the valley I wanted up near the top at Glacier Lodge campground near the southern end of the Sierras. My trans fluid got hot and lost some of the red color, but still did better than others that lost their trans all together when going up. Going down was hair raising with a 3,000 lb camper and feel your brakes start to liquify.

Pilothouse/RAM3500 build
I am in construction as well and seen enough recessions to know that if this goes on for too long we will lose a lot of companies. There are a lot of good ones that really share the wealth with their employees, so often times their cash pile isn't enough to hold for too long. We are doing needed home repairs to help some good folks and after that we go to an addition on a vacation home with no one there. My business is easier to keep our distance from each other and working outside is far better than hanging around inside. Hopefully your work will keep going so we can watch the progress on your truck. I think this recession is of a more temporary nature.

Spare tire winch
I have always used the winch and both my originals are still working. I use the chain so the winch isn't being pulled on all the time to hopefully save it for the long run and since the winch is somewhat unreliable, I want the chains to keep the spare from breaking loose on the road and possibly hurting someone. To bad we can't have a pandemic on these cheesy winches because no one would tail a second gen anymore.

Spare tire winch
Yes I know what you are talking about.... just thought I'd give you a little hard time. You know I like my 2 chains idea otherwise someday I could see my spare passing me on the highway. It is easy to do as the frame has a nice size hole on each side of the spare to hook a chain and then bind them across the underside of the spare tire. When you need the spare just remove the small chain binder and they hang out of the way on each side. To secure the binder I place a hose clamp around the handle to lock it in place.

The entire judicial system is shut down so by keeping everyone home they don't get a huge backlog of demands on the court. Traffic tickets, evictions etc,. etc.

Shelter in place terminology sounds like the liberal BS. Like all that made up crap they feed you in college to make you think your smarter and more educated. Stay at home order is more like it, plain and simple. Even my dog knows what stay means.

coronavirus protection
Just read an article that got me thinking how merciful our Lord is and how we all need to keep the faith. I say this because of the panic over the Virus makes things much worse than the Virus. I know that statement can be severely proven otherwise in a lot of situations, but look at the folks going to lose the very shelter they need to stay healthy, lose their retirement, their livelyhood, their medical insurance and in some cases their pension if companies fold. In my estimation thy are shutting us down too hard that all the way, have greater consequences in the future. All we need is to stay a distance away from each other, wash up real good........ but........ Evan needs to wash his mouth out with soap, and ever wonder why Dripley looks so shiney lately? he uses Armor All for protection. Another point is that a medical report says most flu type infections typically taper off severely by May due to drier warmer weather. That's a good thing. Keep the faith for all of us

I am afraid of a recession. A lot of poor contractors in the past lost their homes and 401K. I don't want to see that again. That was terrible times last go round. Pray that the virus burns itself out, goes away quickly. We don't need to see folks going poor again, it was horrible some of the stories and guys just begging for work everywhere.

Rear Axle Shaft loose bolts
Are you talking about the 6 or 8 small bolts that hold the end cap of the axle on there and are visible when the hub cap is removed?

Soft brakes!!!
I hope you get it figured out. Its very weird because I redid all my brakes a year ago. Rebuilt calipers and pads all the way around, all new fluid, but the fluid has turned brown in only a year. It's frustrating and wonder if O'rielly's brake fluid is bad. Heck only put about 5-6 thousand on that truck since. I also had some O'rielly synthetic power steering fluid foam up and overflow out the power steering pump cap with the truck just siting there in the summer heat.

Spare tire winch
I have two second gens and don't trust the tire winch. It looks kind of cheesy. If I needed one I would go to the wrecking yards for one. I did manage to get some oil to mine, but not sure if it will help much. In order for me to not worry about losing my spare, possibly hurting someone, I hang two short pieces of chain on the frame either side of the spare tire and then with a small chainbinder I bind the two chains together across the underside of the spare. It holds the spare firmly in place and not relying on the cheesy winch to constantly hold it up in place.

I like your suggestions Dieselfuture. I like the way apple cider vinegar makes my gut feel good after drinking, it definitly has a good effect. I don't get sick very often. over the years others get colds and flu and I'm usually plugging along just fine. I think because I'm active outdoors most of the time is what does it along with the activity of achieving something. Mostly residential contracting, I try to be creative and keep it worthwhile and interesting. Years ago I did get a flu so bad, kept getting worse and worse. Just about the time I began to think it was going to kill me, I started getting better. All toll it took about a week to go away. Now this new stuff going around is a concern being I'm over 65..

You are nice guy to offer. Out my way the freeway is emptier today. Kind like back in the 80's. The Saloon in my town is shut down and so is the cafe. Parking lot totally empty. Thing is you can have the virus and be contagious for a week before you have any symptoms. That's the glitch and then it kills folks in their 80's.
