  1. okay. some forums have strict rules, but I like the fact it's okay with you guys. In this crazy world it good to have a place you can have some freedom.
  2. This AC ripple thread is pretty important so if you guys vote I should delete all the rocket launcher stuff I can.
  3. I was starting a major remodel on a vacation home with no one around. Except this crabby old lady came up and said ''just what do you think you are doing?''. With sawzall in hand and having just cut a 3x4 hole in the side of the house, I turned and said, wool the safe won't fit thru the door. She let out the best laugh ever and turned out to be one of the best jobsite watchers I ever had. She was cool Some folks you just can't help but love even when you don't know them.
  4. I can have the homeless guys come over and pay them to blend smear it all over. Guess it's time now you guys to get back with W-T and his AC noise.
  5. Being its all wood I can stain it the same color
  6. Thanks I need protection........ vengeance is way overdue just realized....
  7. I like it too . I used one one time restoring and old 64 chev pick up. It was fun.
  8. It's only for those that have sensitive electronic equipment on board like rocket launchers aimed at Dieselfutures house.
  9. Poor Dripley he been reduced to a dead bug eatin' tire salesman ready to shred your budget.
  10. Also the one thats disguised as human, but underneath is raging red rooster.
  11. You got friendly places to stay out this way too ya know. Don't wait too long Dripley cause one day you be too old. If you do head out west you got to do it so your not in a hurry so you can stay rested. Man there's some nice places along the northern route. Stay a day and check em out. I always wanted to travel every other day seems cool when your near all the great places along the American Highway.
  12. Go for a short run and shut it down open the fuel cap slowly and listen for an air hissing sound. Could have clogged tank vent that starves the vp after enough suction builds in the tank. Also did you remove the screens in the tank? Mine were 1/3 clogged at 190,000. Cut those out and add a prefilter before the lift pump. Also on your Lift pump some had a small mesh screen inserted into the inlet side. Get needle nose and pull that out and throw away see if it is dirty.
  13. Dripley, are you stockin up your fifth wheel with chicken feed and dead bugs, so you can eat, for your travels out west? It's time you see the left coast and mountains you know. But please no dead bug sandwich just coffee would be great.
  14. You are able to accomplish that better than anyone I've ever known... your the man Actually I understand that very well as there is something very enjoyable about that. I think Dripley may know and understand why that is.
  15. Yes, Dripley knows me well as I need coffee or I cannot breath...... I would use the grey connector wire for a better ground for the alternator. Just cut off the grey connector and add a ring terminal for grounding the alternator case. W-T recommends that be done and I have read a few articles on the benefits of a seperate ground for the alternator. Grounding thru a rusty bolted bracket has shown some problems. You know what dripley..... W-T has told me quite a few amazing things about AC noise. Did you know that it would be good to ground the exhaust system because the vibration and inside friction inside an exhaust makes small amounts of AC noise. Ain't that something?
  16. You cut out the part with the 4 small sensor wires that are fused together with some sort of factory clear plastic material with the shrink tube over it. Strip all four of those wires and solder to a single ring terminal and bolt behind the gear case near the VP. Then using that same heavier cable solder another ring terminal on for the same bolt and run the other end with a lug to the drivers battery. Now that grey connector just laying there disconnected goes away. It has problems. I had to go out and look at both my trucks negative post on the passenger battery but, one cable from the negative post goes to the alternator case (you can use an alternator case bolt). Another ground from that same passenger battery post goes to the sheet metal inside the fender near the battery and another ground directly from same post to PCM. Hope this helps. I just cleans up the whole system, but you will have problems some day if you don't better parallel those two batteries together with the additional cables and lugs needed. Needs to have a total of two + to + cables and two - to - cables to properly parallel. because if the passenger battery ever develops a bad cell it has no temp sensor to limit the alternator from overworking trying to fill a bottomless pit so to speak. It will get the alternator so hot you could short it out and take out the pcm with it.
  17. Thank you Hag, good to have buds around this place like it is
  18. Thanks Hagger, Both my second gens are 4wd. There are a lot of good guys on this forum and I appreciate it too. I have to admit that I found a new 4 wd suspension shop that is being real nice to me. I was calling them to see if they would like to trade my two in. level kit for some one inchers that might be laying around. If we could make a trade, that will benefit them most since everyone wants the two inch kit. The guy said he will do both sides for 85 bucks with my parts. I said, you mean 85 bucks for each side right? No we will do both for 85 bucks. Okay I said, but now I'm wondering if it just a ploy to get me in there on the rack. You know how some places can be..... oh you got this wrong and that wrong it's going to be 150,000 bucks to fix it..... you know and then you get it back and now it's really broke and you don't know what they did. However with my truck they're going to see some real good tight work done to it and needs nothing. I just hope it's not a ploy. They might be good folks. Should I give them a try? Mike, no one but no one has a wood stove door big enough to fit those pieces you got in that truck! What are you thinkin?
  19. Yeah tell me about it I think chicken cook house builders make mored'n I do. Electricians are making all the money
  20. Thanks bullet. Your saying I need 4 of them because I cannot do one side at a time by having only 2 spring compressors Is that right?
  21. To me it was real good because I knew you were due. Didn't want you running all the way north with an iffy VP that I know the originals only went on average about 70 or 80 k. It was real good that happened.
  22. It's nice to have a situation where you don't have to rely on a system to keep you supplied with the pellets and electricity. I don't like the fact that woodstoves tend to be a bit dusty and dirty to deal with. Pellets are a lot cleaner for the house, but since I've gotten used to woodstoves since 78 I think they are fine. Mopar1973Man likes to pretend he's way way up in the arctic north.
  23. Mike, the one inch spacer will be perfect for when I'm loaded with the camper and without the camper as well. The airbags want minimum 10 psi to prevent any damage when unloaded and that lifts the back by about an inch.
  24. Thanks 98whitelightnin, Mike has to understand having air bags in the back are a big plus with handling carrying a slide in camper. Bringing the front back to stock would mean I would have an extreme raked look and would have to remove the air bags.
