Came across the fourm!
Naw.... nothin that nice, just a 10x10 with a cathedral ceiling, it will get all the smalls out of the shop and make it a lot better to work in there. Trying to make everything look old west style. Love that look but expensive for the board and batt siding. Got the framing done and dried in now. Metal roof gets picked up tuesday.

Came across the fourm!
Welcome to the Forum. About the hobbies.... I love stuff that you get a strong sense of accomplishment. Right now building a H bent for stout storage shed to put away all the things in my way to free up the garage. IBMobile is coming and needs a neat as pin garage or he turns right around leaves. Can't have that so it will have every wall full of shelving, real plywood walls and 6/12 metal roof. The best part is 2 foot overhangs all around. Makes me happy to finally get to do something for myself

Your best/worst camp grounds
It's a good place for many reasons with surprises around every bend. I was going there once a year for a few years before I found IBMobile had been going there for many years. Now I meet up twice a year and in doing so I've learned how important it is to get away every so often. We are camped in the valley in the tall trees just beyond the lake

Isspro fuel pressure gauge
Is your company seeing a slow down in business? I wouldn't wait for them to call you back..... I'd be out looking for a job. It often meant that I usually found a better job..... closer to home better work conditions etc.

Crazy life - Just blogging
Waiting to hear about the trans going back in. It has got to go smooth as many times as you've done it. Call the most convenient parts store to get them to bring in the alternator for your next run thru town. Things going to get better. I think we have all have had those difficult times that require extraordinary faith and perseverance, usually always turn around at some point. I hope it's now that the alternator gave out on the 96. Hang in there.....Some of my most troubling times seem to come in the middle of winter too. My hope is some of our expired members can start to throw a little in the kitty to help with this rough road. You have helped so many, including myself.

Hey you guys I got to get rid of a skunk.....
Maybe there is some biological relationship.

fuel pump dripping
My luck says tightening the two cover bolts won't stop the leak, but hay, it can't hurt to try. I wouldn't wrench them just snug them up a little. I've noticed a few times that the lift pump and injection pump are often confused in a discussion. It's good to be specific about which of the two are being referred to.

Hey you guys I got to get rid of a skunk.....
If it would be kinder it would be nice if it listed latest activity first, rather than unread content.

Hey you guys I got to get rid of a skunk.....
In my case I always want to go back after realizing a helpful response, but since I already read that thread I have to do a bit of searching to find it.

Hey you guys I got to get rid of a skunk.....
I know it's a pain. I wish It would come up as newest content instead of 'unread content' because lots of times you read something and then later you want to go back to post a decent response after you get time to think about it.Then makes you hunt it down. Also you think read everything and you have not ...... Like it skips over stuff

Talked with Mopar1973Man Yesterday
Just want to let everyone know he needs your prayers as he has more on his plate than any normal guy should have right now. Most of you know about some of the things he is going thru. Plus his time is run so thin that most things he owns is falling behind where he can't repair it in a timely fashion and the needed repairs to both his vehicles are lagging. Your prayers and donations would be greatly appreciated. Please forgive any phone calls he doesn't answer and for his lack of participation in the forum right now. He cannot take on any work on any other trucks till things get better. Thanks to all you members out there. Even to the expired ones...... perhaps you can reciprocate with a small subscription and update your membership. Thanks to all JAG1 Mike

Green Bean Thinkin'.........
Coffee too Dieselfuture. Without which I wouldn't be able to breath. Anyway, I really believe the trees and other plants are what's filtering the air pollution and providing us with oxygen. Helping to keep a balanced atmosphere, rain is also important, has a lot to do with atmospheric washout. The payment of carbon credits will require more money flow thu the economy and will only help to increase degradation. As said before, the level of GDP has a direct correlation to the amount of waste and pollution. GDP can therefore be used as a boost gauge on environmental impact.

PCM/Alternator Protecting Fuse Blown
On both my second gens there are factory grounds going from firewall to the PCM housing. It runs a short distance toward the drivers direction. Oh well, if I'm wrong its okay. W-T does talk about the alternator factory ground, very important, going thru rusty corroded mount bolts affording a poor ground thru the mounting bracket. Make sure all that is clean making good ground.

PCM/Alternator Protecting Fuse Blown
It is because he has been electrocuted one too many times. Make certain the firewall ground to PCM connection is in good condition too. I would like to hear what you A/C ripple level is when idling.

Replacement dash
I will do that. Give me a few days as I've had so little time I'm finally able to start getting my things caught up Finally some time off
-
Replacement dash
I just repaired my dash bezel because It's harder to get a wood grain bezel like mine and the top was like an old relic cracking apart. So with ABS pipe glue I glued leather to the underside and put all the pieces back together on the top. Spot putty and sanding got it fair to midland and then masked the underside and sprayed Raptor bedliner to reinforce everything underneath. Then masking the front you run a razor knife between the top and the front. It has a groove there seperating the front from the top to guide your razor knife perfectly. With the front all masked off and only the top showing, I put 4 coats of Raptor Bedliner out of their rattle can. It came out really cool and better than new and is strong.

Tool Talk...
I wondering if these heat senor tools are capable of detecting areas of a wire harness that have higher resistance. In other words show wires that need to be increased in size? Or is that for the more expensive units; Another question is it an advantage to have a laser pin point type or IR type with a small screen? Just for spite against IBMobile I'm going to Snap-on today. He'll just have to loan me money for fuel when we go camping.

I need some help from a member for the wife
Never mind cause it will be all flowers and trees
-
Tool Talk...
It's okay where else can you get away with it? ..... people are just people. Hey you know whenever IBMobile notices a new Snap On in my toolbox, he says, "Mike go up the store and get me a coke, will ya". No he doesn't take stuff.... but he's coming to my place and we are going to put a new roof on his fifth wheel and then do my evaporator core heater core, charge up the AC again. Then we head south in the RVs for fishing, metal detecting and camping. Ain't that cool?

Standby generators
I understand that a propane generator will use significantly more fuel in propane than if it where a diesel fuel generator. You will also have to install the automated switching so your generator does not electrocute the lineman working on the downed power lines by backfeeding into the power grid. I use my wood stove for heat and cooking if the power is out. Then fire up the little honda with an extension cord under the door to the fridge to keep from losing perishables. Next I give everyone a small flashlight and they're happy. The biggest problem is the well since it takes a big generator to run the pump so we usually use water sparingly to run off the remaining pressure in the pressure tank. Sometimes we will use the rv for showers if we de winterize and fill it up before a storm. Most folks put in the proper switching and breakers and get a diesel generator to do the job, but It's expensive. My woodstove alone has saved probably 30,000 bucks over the course of 40 years. I split by hand cause I like doing it and most my wood has been free.
