  1. It seems impossible to do that all over again the way prices for trucks and homes are today. wears me out just thinking about it. As for the tool I'm looking into a Snap On catalogue. I like their stuff, but I don't want to give them my truck for it.
  2. I'll get back in the morn you guys my goose is cooked from todays pressure washing. I see dripley [s cooked too that's what you get when you 68 yr old building Construction supervisor cause they keep offering plenty more money and you never quit.. I think he's lost all his feathers and you can see everything .
  3. Probably the spot checks is best for mechanical work. Checking for hot calipers or wheel bearings. Nice to be able to check how each cylinder is doing on a fully warmed up engine by targeting near each exhaust port. Is that right? Only seen that done one time, but seems a good diagnostic approach.
  4. Hey everyone, which temp sensing gun should I get? Should it be a laser type or an Infrared type? Also can you will it display ambient at the same time? I would like a good one. T.I.A.
  5. Dieselfuture, why do you have two fuel supplies? One is at 12:30, another at 3:00 positions? Then the smaller fuel return closer to the electrical connector? My tank vent hose I ran up higher near the fill neck to help keep road grim and chicken guts/ feathers from clogging the vent
  6. Dripley knew her in high school. Back then she was getting Dripley ousted from shop leader in auto mechanics.
  7. We all gotta get back to the bolt bin for some sanity (the garage)..... especially after seeing Pelosi and what that gang are doing .
  8. Hey some dang good hair brained ideas came from half nut job folks like us, especially Dieselfuture.
  9. How'd you delete 'bolts' that's amazing!? You must know something I don't
  10. Hey, If you can give me O ring size and thickness I bet I can find a supplier here in Portland. There some real nuts and bolts businesses still around my area that can help.
  11. There are a few guys corrected a similar problem by messing with the instrument cluster connection, which I'm not familiar with, that they say is under the dash behind the factory gauges. One guys long standing problem was solved just by clicking it in tighter. Another found a bent pin something along those lines anyway. Then if I remember correctly, there is another problematic pin connector behind or near the radio that another guy found was the problem. Drove him nuts for a long time trying to find the problem. Anyway I hope something simple like that will get you going..... Welcome to the 'truck club' BTW.
  12. Sorry, Dripley, don't know what got into me on that one Bud.... I just couldn't leave that beer sit there, you know. I do believe in God and Our Son of God Jesus Christ, blessed be his name, and at the same time think he is in control of what ultimately happens down here on earth. Not the Gov't, not folks like AOC. I do believe the stage is being set for the end times more so now than any other time.
  13. Yeah, and the next Adam and Eve look like big Dripley type chickens. Then forbidden fruit be never make love and have chicks.
  14. For the O rings can't you find them at a place that carries all the different sizes just by matching it up?
  15. Carefull Careful, don't let Boss hear you say that, From the looks of it you are in for a lot more.
  16. Cool, I love it when God takes over and shows who's boss He he, Be thankful He knows what he's doing and why He does it. Those are nice pics, Thanks Evan.
  17. I know we will always have climate change..... I just don't like the increased fire danger everywhere in the world. BTW, what happened to all that water from the ice age? Is it getting lost in space? Think about that! everywhere seems to have less water lower streams and lakes. It is baffling and it must be happening since the ice age. Look at the deserts with oceanic fossils everywhere. Its baffling.
  18. Our local weather man has shown examples of what is called, 'a heat island' when on the radar it shows no rain falling in the city, but does precipitate all the surrounding areas. Another example, When driving on warm days you can feel temperatures dropping when coming into rural areas with lots of greenery. I have a place in a forested around me and even though I'm at a lower elevation than a quarter mile away, I can have 8 inches of snow, drive out and it's only an inch or two even though higher up out on the road. Most have cut a large potion of their trees out there and I think has something to do with it. This all speculation on my part but I do know that cooler means more rain generally speaking and I cannot explain what's happening in Australia ..... it's hotter than ever there.
  19. Just want to be sure everyone is aware that it is not a good idea to convey your schedule on the forum. Better to do them by PM as you don't really want to let criminals know when your gone and your place is empty. My next door neighbor got robbed 3 yrs ago. Its not fun when that happens.
  20. Mike Nelson said, 'go plug your RV in over there'. Waited for just the right moment, and got me in the face'.
  21. perfect, Thanks IBMobile Okay its carbon dioxide then so why aren't we overwhelmed with carbon monoxide it in our atmosphere from fossil fuels? Where is it going and why isn't it a problem?
  22. Suns energy fuels photosynthesis that takes in carbon monoxide, along with micro air pollutants in the air from your truck and other sources, Right? Then those pollutants ending up on the plant that washes down with rain and getting broken down in the soils. So if trees and plants and trees are helping to sustain a livable planet you won't have to pay AOC carbon tax that takes away your money for fuel. See? I knew there was a connection. However, I am assuming a lot of things not certain of. That's why the discussion. IBMobile lives next door to AOCs' cousin and has a smoke switch especially installed for morning warm ups. There is a picture somewhere.
  23. I just did a search and says one acre of forest produces enough oxygen to support 18 people for a year. Also says a mature leafy tree produces 260 lbs of oxygen per year. Enough to support a family of four. I'm interested if we are talking about a possible solution, since a giant filter system would put out what we need to sustain life..... So the real question is do plants and trees act also as a giant filter to clean the air? I think the answer is yes. Much better than depending on electricity production when no one knows what to do with nuclear waste. Battery waste is a whole other issue for land and water. Far better than gov't taxes to pay for carbon use since It's obvious more money would have to flow thru the economy to pay that tax, the more dependant we become on waste and pollution to pay for that additional money flow. My argument is for continued use of fossil fuels and energy efficiency with increased respect and preservation of forest lands. Not a proposal that sends the economy into a nosedive, the likes of which have never been seen before. I think AOC needs more education before setting an agenda of more money flowing to the Gov't as a solution. God has provided everything we need if we just respect and enhance what's been given to us. Folks like AOC would set herself up as an environmental dictator when in actuality God is in control. Always will be.
