  1. Autometer UltraLites.......EGT, boost, and Lift pump Also run the digital RP gauge..........the manufacturerer escapes me now.
  2. I left early Friday AM with Scott and Vanessa heading to Kentucky to pick up 2 pups from the last litter my Lab Spud sired. Scott was getting one and Vanessa was get one for her niece as a surprise. Anyhow, I filled up the evening before about 2 miles from my house, and tripped the mileage counter back to 0, as well as the overhead. Picking up Scott and Vanessa probably added 40 miles to how I normally drive down there, but I don't think it would've mattered one bit. We left early (6:00AM), but it was hot by 8:30AM, so I clicked on the AC. It's hard to talk running down the highway with the window open!!! Got down to KY, hung out at Dougs with the pups, went and had dinner, went back to the pups afterward, and then drove to the hotel on Friday. On Saturday (today), we drove to the restaurant for breakfast, over to Dougs, hung out there for a couple hours and then headed back to northern Illinois. I filled up just South of Mount Vernon, IL on the way back. 620 miles on the tank, and the DTE on the overhead was reading 36. Put in 30.7xx gallons and it figured to 20.2mpg. But get this.....................that's running 2k rpm or about 68mph, with the AC on!!! Can you say "happy camper"????? It was 90* for most of the trip down and back, and I've always said that my truck gets super mileage the "hotter" it is outside!!!
  3. Nice job.:thumb1:Could you step back and get a picture of the whole dash w/gauges???? Probably looks like an airplane cockpit!!!!
  4. Without a bit more info from the OP, I'm leaning toward this^^^^^^^^
  5. Jeez, Michael, when I read the title of this thread, I thought you had to put the "pooch" down!!! Good thing I read the thread before posting...........which I've done on occasion!!!!
  6. I think I may have you beat Michail.............my chainsaw is at least 30 years old!!!! Dad bought the McCullock ProMac610 in the late '70's-early '80's!!! With a sharp chain, she's dangerous!!!! I sharpen a lot also!!
  7. Besides, 2 stroke oil is formulated and designed to burn............and burn cleanly without deposits. JFYI, I was in a bass fishing tournament yesterday/Sunday. I did not win. But I worked Saturday, and pulled the boat out, got her organized, and ran her a bit with the "bunny ear" hose attachment. She started right up!!!:hyper: Anyhow, after I ran her for about 10 minutes, I shut her down and cleaned out the boat for a bit. After about 15-20 minutes of cleaning; I pulled the cowl off the engine and pulled the plugs............Just a little bit wet with oil, but no fouling or carbon build up at all. And my boat doesn't see a whole lot of high speed operation..........mainly just to go across 100-300 acre lakes. So I say again...............In a properly running 2 stroke engine there will be no "deposits"!!! The plug may be wet, but it shouldn't be carboned up.
  8. Never, ever do work for friends on a $$$$ scale. Always make it a somewhat "barter system" where you negotiate the the "worth" of the labor. Dollars ruin friendships IMHO!!
  9. With my "tone wheel mod", and my Smarty Revo, I very rarely even see 1000*F towing unless I "lug" the Cummins down under the torque curve.
  10. :duh::banghead: Jeez......now we're recommending products that only work well at certain times of day??!!! Great product!!
  11. On my '04.5 right now, I'm running Cooper Discoverer AT3's. I've got about 12,000 miles on them, and they seem to be wearing very well. Prior to them, I had the Cooper Discoverer ATR's (which are no longer offered and the AT3's replaced) and I got 75,000 miles out of them. I could have gone about 10,000 miles longer on the ATR's, but Cooper was having a rebate on the AT3's and it was coming into Winter here. So I guess I would recommend them!!!! --- Update to the previous post... In about 6 months or so of driving also!!!
  12. Some snow would be welcome around here now. It's really dry, even though we had rain less than 1 week ago. My retriever club is hosting the bi-annual "grand" this weekend. It's supposed to be really warm.............which sucks for dog work. No sense in beatching about the weather though!!!!
  13. Be getting wood, hey??!!!
  14. Different valves, and valve lash in '06.................first I've heard of that. "Splain please"!!!! No one urinated in my breakfast this morning either!!!

  16. Great post there Mike. That's what a lot of folks; including the person now occupying the White House, don't seem to get. They've got this "utopian" notion of everyone driving coal fired cars (electric cars) everywhere. You're the perfect example as of now, that's not a viable option. I have access to many fuel stations very close. However, my business would never survive if I had to drive a coal fired car. If you live close to where you work, and don't need to drive a lot, they may be an option. By the way, I just missed my first 20mpg tank of fuel at my last stop. Got 19.8mpg with about 2/5ths towing.:hyper: Fuel was $3.84/gal.
  17. No, the third event started with the '04.5 model. Prior to that, they were 305hp and 555 torque.......unless you had a California model.
  18. There is nothing mechanically or emissions different from an '05 to an '07. The only thing different is the ECM programming. The '04.5-'05 were rated at 325HP and 600ft. lbs. torque. The '06-'07 were rated at 325 HP also, but torque was upper to 610ft. lbs.Are you "Hand Calculating" mileage for both trucks, or are you going off the overhead "Lie-O-Meter"???
  19. What about Yukon and Northwest Territories??? You forgot 25-30% of Canada!!!
  20. That's very true while it's working properly.:smart: Still, I'd just rather do it the tried and true method of using mirrors and such. And if they don't do it for you.............stop your truck, get out, and check what's behind you!!!!! Is that worth $xx.xx??!!!! For me it's not..................I was just saying, not arguing!!! "Don't look back, something might be gaining on you." Satchel Paige. Words to live by.
  21. Hey; JohnBoy, just wait until you get some "real" miles on that truck of yours!!! Until you've gotten 100k on these trucks, your still in the "baby truck" catagory!!!
  22. Do you's guys not know how to use mirrors???! I guess I don't understand the want, or the perceived need for such a thing!!!
