  1. According to brian at SMARTY getting one and using it without a delete is better. I'm curious now as to what could have caused this failure? I'm really eyeing an HE351 for a swap and don't want to buy a problematic turbo...
  2. More money than brains atleast, all stainless pipe!
  3. Theres more than one way to skin a cat...
  4. I've never like the noise a Ford makes going down the road...
  5. I spent $4500 on my transmission rebuild. Darn near half was in labor. I had to have the OD unit replaced as well. If I would have taken the dive and did myself at the time, I could of had a pretty bullet proof transmission!
  6. Okay, heres a thought: The lift pumps themselves have a return line at the block. If the restriction only allows so much to return, the excess is returned at the filter block. So to me, it does not seem like it would matter either way?
  7. What gauges did you get? It would be unheard of to buy gauges that did not come with some sort of install instructions!
  8. Does the motor sound like it is working hard? Might have that seal going out..
  9. Moderate? How moderate? Bay area CA, moderate? IMHO, if the IAT temps see what the resistor value is for the MPG setting most of the time, I probably would not get it. Thats just me though. But even then, how hot does it need to be outside to produce that ohm value? The one good thing about it is that say an 80 degree day only makes an ohm value that reflects the IAT as less than what the MPG setting is. Well, I cannot say how much of a difference it would make, but you would have that much difference. If I lived in AZ or something like that, that did not have weather temps less than 40 on a regular basis during the coldest parts of the year, I probably would not get it, myself. ...but then again, I do not live in AZ! I'm sure someone like Mike could chime in and give better reasoning about it than, I.
  10. Well, its comforting to know they can be rebuilt for less than the transmissions!
  11. ...i see. I must have mistaked it for the western red cedar.
  12. So what happens to all the cedar you cut?
  13. ...nope. Because your just making the truck think its summer weather. So in essence, it would be like driving in AZ all year long, even though you may live in colder areas.
  14. EEK! Okay, so it must be a hand-me-down truck? What will it be? General Fire is in Spokane! They make great apparatus'! When I was on with the local dept. we got ours from them, brand spanking new! 250k later! BTW! ...can you bring me back some avocados!?
  15. To me, it sounds like it goes into 3rd lockup and does not unlock. Hence why you rev high but dont go faster, cause your not shifting...
  16. There are a select people on CF that will do the work. ED might even be able to do the work, too...
  17. Sounds like the TC to me...
  18. ...read the articles I provided above. Even MS news reports its starting to look like the captain had the role in the act. It may have ended up in the ocean somewhere. Maybe he went suicidal.
  19. Agreed! As well, you must make a thread if you do the he351! I'm trying to get my hands on one. Told the wife it would be more cost effective to do the he351 instead of buying an exhaust brake and turbo by themselves!
  20. ...but the smell of nitro!
