  1. I do that with my 3500 as well. With it being a dually and 99% of the time it's empty. The door sticker says 65 psi front and 50 psi rear. She rides pretty rough like that. I air down the rear tires to 42-45 psi and it helps alot. Also keeps the tread wear more even across the tire as well.
  2. I belive it just started to flurry here so it's coming.
  3. I say put a hot cup of coffee in those cold hands and wait it out inside. Lol
  4. We're expecting a snow storm tonight. They're saying 2-4" of snow with ice pellets mixed in. Right now no snow yet, 24° with 16mph wind. "Real feel" is 10°. Friday morning commute will be tricky. Sounds like a good day to stay home.
  5. They have more than one level of price. As to quality.....?
  6. No, not this time. Have a quick stop in forest park the on to Arlington heights.
  7. Wind has picked up here some. We're supposed to get another round of winter Thursday night into Friday. Possibly 6" of snow. Have to head up to Chicago area early in the morning. Hope to deliver, reload and be back this way before the storm hits this time. Last week I held up in Lafayette In. Until it was over the following morning. Ugh
  8. Very nice bike @Silverwolf2691, I like the color to. She has a really sleek look to her. I like that.
  9. All that from your house while the server is in Michigan? Wow. Very cool.
  10. If the relay is way back there I have to ask, where is it getting battery power from? Did you run a wire from the battery all the way to the relay? I would either swap to the led lights or move the relay to somewhere more shielded from road debris. I have an led light strip between the tailgate and rear bumper. I'm sure you've seen the kind I'm talking about. Mine also has white led's that come on with the reverse lights which are also led bulbs. Lights up pretty good behind the truck.
  11. I agree with all of the above. Would like to add that the pitman arm and splined shaft it goes are tapered I believe so the pitman arm should only go on so far and stop.
  12. @Max Tune, I'm the same way. I prefer to listen to the mechanical music of the engine, wind blowing by and take it all in. Very relaxing for me. Momma wants an ultra for her comfort, i get it but i will keep my wide glide for when im solo. I enjoy it to much to let it go. @Mopar1973Man, I can just see you zig zapping down the road dancing in the seat!
  13. My son went yesterday and bought a brand new 2021 Street Glide. Traded his 2014 Wide glide in on it. Now him and his wife will be more comfortable on the trip. I'll have to ride closer to him now to hear his stereo, LOL
  14. @Joe_Pool, never thought about using 2 snobbers. Great idea! I like the needle valve though in case there is a leak somewhere. Easy enough to just close it until the leak is fixed. Gloshift sells a snubber/needle valve combo I was looking at.
  15. We were down in the single digits last night. It warmed up here wednesday, rained a bunch then turned cold and snowed on top of the ice. Made a mess of things.
  16. For a fuel pressure gauge do you need both a snubber and a needle valve to offset the hammering of the VP?
  17. I know Gloshift aren't the best gauges out there, Probably not the most accurate and a budget alternative to better brands such as autometer or isspro. I need to get some gauges on soon, especially fuel pressure. I recently had a lift pump fail and don't want to be surprised like that again. I'll add a FP gauge first and boost and EGT soon to follow. Anyone here run the Gloshift gauges? How good/bad are they? I'm sure they'll do for a while until budget allows upgrades. I don't have any big mods, mainly stock truck with plans on bigger injectors and boost elbow this spring or summer to have a bit more pulling power to tow our 36' 5th wheel.
  18. We had a warm day here Wednesday, my 2 sons took their bikes out for a ride, I was out of town for work so couldn't go. Doubt I would have anyway since there is still a lot of salt on the roads from the last snowfall. I usually don't get mine out until after it warms up and some rain to wash the salt away. I was a bit envious of their ride I must admit. I can't wait until warmer weather gets here to get the Harley out and get some wind therapy. Today it's 20 degrees with 20-30 mph winds. It's cold, or at least feels like it. I've had enough winter, I'm ready for spring. In May me and the wife along with one of my sons and his wife will be taking a trip to Florida, trailering the bikes (the ladies won't ride that far). We will be staying at the top of the keys and riding down RT 1 to visit all the keys and see what there is to see there. Looking forward to the ride and warm weather!
  19. When I first bought my truck the abs light was on due to the fact that someone had changed the axle ratio and tire size in the ecm. A buddy has a good snap on scanner and was able to change both parameters to what was actually on the truck. Abs light has been off ever since. Moral of the story, if someone has a good scan tool that is able to make changes they could possibly set the speedo right for you.
  20. I am curious, what does an average ecm rebuild cost. I am not in need of one, just asking. Thanks
  21. For the time being I used male/female crimp blade connectors on it. The insulated type. It may last a long time but I guess I'd feel better with a more permanent connection to lengthen the wire then have a blade connector for disconnect on the end somewhere up away from the bottom of the engine/starter area.
  22. Thanks for posting that pic, I've been wondering what one would look like with the plastics all black. Now I know. I like it!
  23. I was xurious because when I recently put my lift pump on a relay I had to cut the power wire to the plug for the oem setup. I'd like to have something more permanent there. It's down the driver's side of the motor above the starter. I would have soldered it and shrink over but I don't think I can get in there well enough with my big gorilla hands to do it. Lol
