  1. Are the batteries connected to one another? Couldn't you just run one charge lead to the passenger side with the breaker like an '01? Crap, I keep forgetting, I need to install a fuse on the blue wire for the PCM. I forget until I see a post about the ground mod.
  2. I may consider getting one. I have to sell one of my motorcycles (was going to sell it anyway) and have declared that money to be "truck money". Original plan was gauges, injectors and fuel line upgrades. Maybe a quad will be the first big mod?
  3. That's another issue as well. My wife doesn't mind some of my expenditures but $700 might be a very tough sell. Hard to convince her why I "need" this for a truck that I have already declared super reliable and should last a long long time. Ugh
  4. I have to say I am a bit surprised that the "silencer" is still in your turbo mike. I've never heard you mention them really but I thought most everyone removed them.
  5. OOOHHHH, I soooo wish I could have a true quad cab 2nd gen.
  6. This is an example of what I would be confused on if I had an adrenaline. I don't get alot if the tech talk when you guys start comparing tunes and what not.
  7. Sorry for the delay on the pics. I've been out of town for a couple days for work. I miss my truck 😭
  8. For a quick fix duct tape it up. It's on the suction side so that will at least keep out the unfiltered air until you get a replacement.
  9. So if a person sticks with rv275's the quad XZT should do just fine then? Question: the rv275 injectors are basically a +40hp injector, the XZT claims +60 I think. How does that really work out in the real world. I am not going to assume that the total of the two would be your overall gain which would be +100 ponies. Also: if running the above setup would a boost elbow be needed and why or why not? Sorry guys, just had some ideas during some downtime and got me thinking. That gets me in trouble.......alot
  10. I haven't really thought alot about a quad myself as I find them to be somewhat technical and I am not. My 3500 dually is a 5 spd manual and on summer fuel I average around 17-17.5 just going to and from work. Not bad for such a heavy truck with DRW in my book. I was getting that with my last half ton. In the future I plan on an injector upgrade, at least RV275's maybe +75hp. Not sure yet. I don't want to smoke like a freight train and be forced to get a tuner for that reason. I'll be honest, tuners are expensive and I have several other things I'd rather spend the money on for the truck. I have looked at the quad XZT tuner, it's a bit more affordable. I haven't heard alot from anyone that has used one though other than online reviews. It to has a setting for fuel economy, power and an off position. You can also get a high idle program in it as well.
  11. I got them hooked up to the ash tray light. Worked out well. Thanks @IBMobile! I'll have to get a pic of it at night lit up.
  12. I'm asking this in light of the recent fuel price spikes. I don't mind paying extra for fuel because I didn't buy a 3500 dually for milage but, out of curiosity if a person were looking for mainly mpg gains would the quad investment be worth it? Last I looked they are fetching about $700 new. That would be a large investment for some people (me included at the moment). Thoughts? Thanks!
  13. That's alot of damage to that engine. How did that happen? Did it get super hot?
  14. I'm feeling a little I'll, think she will examine me? Just curious
  15. Sorry officer, I sold all my guns because I felt guilty due to the stories in the news Need to start building a sealed, moisture proof container about the size of my gun cabinet, oh yeah and dig a hole.......
  16. Have the same problem here to. My son's have wanted to shoot a couple times. I told them to supply the ammo because I'm hoarding mine. They didn't........ If you are lucky enough to find some you pay through the nose for it. It's crazy.
  17. How would I get.to the ash tray light wire? Pull the ash tray? Or have to take alot apart to get to it?
  18. I am finally getting around to wiring up some things on a 6 switch box I mounted. The switches are back lit so what would he the best place to pull switched power from or maybe tap into the light switch so they come on with the parking lights? Thanks in advance.
  19. Instead of armoring your truck maybe put the $1000 into a V plow to push your way through to get to safety? Ohio is an open carry state, no permit needed for open carry but you need one to conceal. If things get that bad it'll be on my hip always.
  20. Will the fuse in the blue wire you have installed since then prevent this from happening?
  21. I had a set of pyle 6x9's sitting in the garage from another project. I used those. I have the standard stereo and they sound pretty good. One day I will upgrade to a better head unit and use my amp and sub.
  22. My boys have already asked who gets my truck, guns, tools, bike and so on after I'm gone. I told them I'll leave it all to the grand kids. Lmao, should have seen the look on their faces. In regards to the break ups, it sucks. There's no way to sugar coat it. You'll go through phases. First hurt, the anger, you'll bounce between those a few times, then you'll feel a little relief once you realize it isn't the end of the world. Then once the other half realizes that they screwed up and admit that THEN the joys comes when you turn them down and remind them that they threw you away. Now the new person your with appreciates you way more than they ever did. That's how it went for me anyway, it was a great day. Wish you both well, no matter how things go, you both have plenty of friends here.
