  2. THere is surely an article in the article section. Read them all when you get a chance, as they will help you in the future. Ed
  3. A $1500 47RE will just be a stock rebuild. Do you have any power adders? If so, you will go through it pretty quick. Ed
  4. P codes are for the SCI bus. Remember the file I sent you a while back? Go through the XML file to see them. I used Tera Term & this... Currently, only ISO and CAN can have the baud rate changed which means you can't change the baud rate on J1850 VPW. To change the rate of ISO, first set the tool to ISO using STP22 and change the baud rate using STPBR62500. If there's a way to set it up to communicate with it, this would be the way. Unfortunately, I can't help with getting any useful data out of the vehicle. That goes beyond the scope of our support. I then just did the throttle & recorded that. & experimented a bit. Ed
  5. I was always taught to use blue locktite on convertor bolts. Ed
  6. I think that the issue is that the PIDs are proprietary to Dodge. Otherwise, if we could make Torque read the SCI bus (Which it can do) & write an app, I have the P codes for that. In a terminal you can use these commands to get raw data. https://www.scantool.net/forum/index.php?topic=9298.0 Sorry, the Torque app cannot read SCI, but the BT dongles can. Ed
  7. One of the intercooler boots could be split or off. Also, you could have fragged the turbo. Ed
  8. This whole push/pull in this situation is just bunk. They are both grearotor designs, so will perform the same. People should deliniate between diaphragm/piston & gearotors, not mechanical & electric. OK, rant over... Ed
  9. Don't listen to Farcebook... Check the level in Neutral. Ed
  10. Having a front receiver is very useful. It makes moving trailers a breeze, allows mounting a removable winch & allows for flat towing. Ed
  11. For Perky info, go to www.4btswaps.com under the Detroit section. Great guys there that know them well. Ed
  12. I had to pull the tanks, have them boiled & sealed. Replaced all lines & added a BIG fuel filter. Also had to reglue the carpet on the engine cover. Smarties... Hell, you'd be lucky to see a corn cob in that carpet.... It's still in perfect condition, too. Ed
  13. Sorry, I was just working on a 74 RV that had that carpet in it.... 1 1/4" deep, too. I think the glue let out old chemicals stored in the carpet.... Ed
  14. Writeup: 1. find old RV from the early 70s. 2. tear out old green, yellow & burnt orange carpet. 3. slather old dash with glue. 4. apply carpet & trim..... Ed
  15. See, they were right.... Size does matter. Ed
  16. that is .10 VAC, as in 1/10th of a volt. Ed
  17. Even new/rebuilds sometimes have the bad AC ripple, as many are done with cheap Chinese diodes. Just check it. Use a digital volt meter that reads 2 VAC or lower. Ed
  18. Check the AC voltage leakage at the B+ terminal on the back of the alternator. Anything .10VAC and over is a fail. Ed

It will take a few years for the vaccine to be tested. THen a couple more for production. Blaming Obama is just another waste of time. Both parties suck & have no concern whatsoever for us or our country. No Republic has lasted more than 200 years & that date was July 4th 1976. I remember my Dad telling me on that day, watching the flotila of Tall ships cruising into Boston harbor, that our country was going to go to hell in a hand basket & he was right. Both parties act like 10 year olds in the recess yard. Ed
  20. But, why would we want a beemer? The dash is probably in 1 piece, there is no death wobble, fuel pump lasts forever, comfortable, quiet..... Where's the fun in that? Ed
  21. There is no such thing as a longer injection line on a diesel. They are all the same length. This is so that the timing will be the same per cylinder. That is why you see some with funky bends. Ed
  22. My "Big line kit" from the stock fuel filter to the IP is cracking the outer after almost a year. It confounds me, as I have used blue "Parker" hose on marine applications & it lasts for well over a decade without the cracking/checking. Ed
  23. Low fluid would do it... Ed
