I know its been long overdue to do some background code work to fix some of the server configuration issues. You have o remember I was working on the changeover from CentOS to AlmaLinux and the different control panels from cPanel to InterWorx. I've hit a few walls on getting the server cleaned up. I've got to build a whole new my.cnf for the MariaDB software. So bare with me I'm working in the background and trying to make this a fast server once again. The other problem is start getting people that want to write articles and build the site information up. Lot more to come soon.

Somewhere a rat is running around that is having fun killing server stuff on me. I logged in just before my surgery to change my bags and plumbing but the server had several things that were disabled. I packed my laptop but never really got a shot to get busy on that. It waited till I got home and healed for a day. I dug in and my entire Interworx server panel was dead. Yup, I'm calling the hosting company to fix this and get it back up. Now I'm going to be spending time researching the hardening process to lock out the rats and keep them out. I'll keep you all posted on what I'm getting done... So far I'm schooling myself on how to use the oscap software provided from Re…

Yeah with what happened to me and my cancer return I'm up in the morning working behind the scenes getting the new server all cleaned up and working the best I can. As it stands the server is about 5% to 10% faster than my previous server. Now I'm getting all the tuning done for the main software like Apache, PHP, MySQL, and a little bit with Linux. One of the things that worries me the most is keeping hackers and scammers out of my server. Strange enough after the initial setup I managed to tighten the grip on the server so good I locked out my hosting company again. I was complimented about how good my security setup was. For now, I've backed down for the t…

We made out the other side of the server swap. YEA! I've got a few software glitches and working my way through it. I've already talked to @Doubletrouble and asked him to walk the site looking for weirdness or errors. If anyone is having issues please post up here and give me a screenshot of the errors or at least drop a link to the troubled page. I'm currently working on getting the store fixed and working once again. I've got some software issues I'm handling and going to get the store working once again. Hang in there guys and gals I'm here to stay but need to fix the few bugs I'm finding.

Mopar1973Man.Com has to relocate to a new server very soon. Right now our current server is on out-of-date software and no longer being updated. Currently, we are on CentOS 7 Linux with cPanel. We will be moving over to AlmaLinux and Interworx. I've already purchased the new server today and it's functional but needs some attention before the swap starts. I've spent over an hour on the phone with the hosting company to ensure things can be done and keep the downtime to a minimum. Currently, I'm paying for 2 servers and need to move forward to the new server fairly rapidly so I'm not paying for 2 servers by next month. Again if there are times that the site goes down durin…

Ok no one likes price increases but I hate to say it but Paypal increased transaction fees on me. To be fair the site is holding the $10, $30, and $100 prices just you are now going to cover the transaction fees on the subscription price. This now changes... $10.00 a month or $10.89 a month $30.00 a quarter to $31.59 a quarter $100.00 a year to $104.29 a year $300.00 a year (vendor) to $311.39 a year The transaction fees are now included in the price. Sorry, this has to occur but I have to ensure the site's ability to stay afloat in the economy. So some of you might notice the subscription is canceled this is the only way to m…

The support ticket system is being depreciated and is no longer supported. I wasn't really gaining much from this system so the support@ email is now also being removed. I'm going to request that all issues be handled here in the forum the best we can unless there is private data then we can take it to the Private message area for that info. The email was just getting spammed by everything including stuff I used the email address for. Just no longer a worthwhile system for handling communications. If you having issues be sure to post up in the proper section or PM the staff for support.

I'm going to invest more funds into the business. My internet had finally come to a pushing point I'm going to ditch my current provider since Ziply Fiber can no longer provides stable internet nor supplies the bandwidth I'm paying for. I'm going to upgrade to Starlink internet. I've already ordered my satellite system and paid for the hardware ($600) and then I'll be $5 cheaper a month but 3 times the bandwidth. On top of that, I've ordered a managed workgroup switch to guarantee I've got the bandwidth to do my task here stocking the store. All this has been ordered and I'm just waiting for the equipment to arrive here so I can continue. I'll have the workgroup switch by…

If I get the store up and running what products would you like to see in the store? One item that will not be there is high idle kits. That is because the cost of production is over doubled now. As for swag items, I won't be able to sell them being there is no way to do this drop shipping. The store will be built on drop shipping. What products would you guys like to see for these trucks and I'm talking all generations?

Yup, you saw that correctly. @Doubletrouble asked if I could get some products added to the store quickly. He was wanting... https://store.mopar1973man.com/airdog-1-2-push-lock-fuel-pressure-fitting-001-4a-1-0027.html https://store.mopar1973man.com/drill-tap-1-8-npt-for-pyrometer-installation.html So I quickly added the products to the store. I'm glad he was willing to aid in debugging this too. I had a clash with the Store and Drop Shipping modules. I accidentally screwed up and sent a test sale down the pipe to DAP. OPPS! I had to call and cancel that order. Fixed the error and had him run a test with me and everything worked correctl…

Today I know most of you didn't see any changes really. Truth is I've updated the forum software to version 4.7.8 which has a long list of updates and fixes. Then with amount of work done I wanted to keep a second backup at home. Little research and found a free Linux program that allows me to login to the server and synchronised copy here at home and smarter than a standard file copy, it actually checks both file size and file timestamp. If they don't match then it sends a copy home here. The program is rsync. Spent some time setting up and testing. Got most of the backup done. Tomorrow I'll add more into the store and attempt to do a bit of clean up on the w…

Hey gang. There is a lot going on here. So I'm going to request everyone get there Garage page updated. Why? Well this can be more helpful for others to see all your truck mods listed in the modification tab. This would lighten the signature line to just a link to your Garage page. I'm guilty of this too. I've got to finish updating my garage listing. Then being ive got a gallery function hidden I want to see good high quality photos of trucks in a environment setting some better than the Walmart parking lot. Then I would love to have a truck of the season. This truck would be in the scrolling top of the page for 3 months (spring, summer, fall, and winter). S…

Things are going to change in regards to Quadzilla Adrenaline tunes. We had in the past a assortment of tunes but not really built to fit anyone vehicles. Myself and that member had a disagreement so his tunes are now removed. Now I want to build this Quadzilla Tunes Download area right. Now after making many phone calls and talked to several people I found that Quadzilla Tunes are roughly $100 to $150 a tune which is normal market price between US and Canada. What am I going to do? I want to sell you a custom made tune to FIT your truck exactly for your hardware and usage. Just for information value I found Smarty touch tunes roughly the same on average. Few Smarty tuner…

I'm looking for members that want to take a bit of pride in the website here. I've got plenty to do behind the scenes right now and have plenty of code work to do yet. Garage - I'm looking for one member to moderate the Garage area review photos and see if the vehicle has its modification list filled in. Shouldn't have pictures of pets and other things. A member will be given powers to manage this task and make the Garage a better information place. Gallery - I'm looking for one member to moderate the Gallery function so when it goes online that people are not posting pictures of other things except trucks. Good high-quality photos, not blurry pho…

First off I will announce I've added back ElasticSearch search engine to the website. It only took me a few months to get the software and code work done. It greatly improved the search results and acts more like Google now on the website (all areas). This should make it easier for people to find information on the website for their truck problems. The second part is I'm currently working on getting the store up and going but hitting some code snags right now and not being able to finish the setup till I get some other issues resolved so I can. I will continue working on getting the store up and running but I'm delayed currently to tech support issues with th…
