I set up a FASS pump last year and used the power for my original transfer pump to energize my new relay for the FASS,so the truck died on me yesterday the transfer pump quit,I switch the fuel system relay, engine control fuses no luck still didn't have power,I got it going again by running a wire on a switch straight from the battery to energize my FASS relay and it works fine for now as long as I don't forget to turn it on or off,in the service manual it shows a 10 amp fuse run/start just can't find it could that be the cause?

Quick question, 98.5 24v. PO fitted a aftermarket fuel transfer pump, not sure what it is as not had a close look all i've done is fix the guys mistakes up to now, he removed the factory fuel filter and fitted a cheap *** inline filter before the pump, I've had the truck over a year but not really used it much because of this inline filter and as I work on large diesels for a living I'm not too eager to start when I get home especially as I work 12/6 and I fully get the no restriction fuel flow deal oh and I'm building a house in my spare time, I've fitted a cat fuel filter off of a 9.3 so my filter has no restrictions. The pump is bolted to the block where the facto…

when i got home this evening i smelled a slight wiff of diesel. looked up under the truck and saw some fuel on the underside of the intake. it appears that i have some fuel weeping out of the injector lines where the connect to the head.it seems to be runnig to the back of the intake and down. over the years i have had to crack them open on occasions. are there not some o rings or some other form of seal that might need to be replaced at these connnections?

I was crossing the Hudson River and noticed I was down to an 8th of a tank, I soon would be headed off the beaten track and had 2 choices to get fuel after I crossed the bridge. I have Citgo run by some Moolah Jihadists, or BP run by some 2nd and 3rd generation Arab Americans, so I picked BP. I fuelled up, then I went into pay, I asked how is business as BP now a days, he said we are going back to Mobil in 2 weeks if that answers your question. He said it is not our fault. I replied it was just a bad accident, nothing no one can do about it now, take care.

Is there any harm in fueling "up the spout"... above the other opening inside the filler neck? Occasionally, I have done this when I got a good price & did not want to give the highway bandits any more than I had to. If this is not a good idea, I'll not do this again. A comment on another thread got me thinking...Russ

OK, guys. This might be long, but I want to fully explain my problem: I just replaced my VP44 and added a FASS Titanium 95 GPH lift pump on the frame rail. There has never been a pump inside the fuel tank. Got the LP done first and the system bled - no problem. A couple of days later, I changed the VP44. I wanted to keep the stock fuel filter canister for the water in fuel sensor and the heater, so I put the fitting for the VP inlet on the inlet to the filter canister. I changed the filter in the canister, too. Right now I have the original banjo fittings and line from the filter canister to the VP in place. I also used the 1/8" port at the top of the canister to t…

On the fuel module…Is it desirable to have fuel return go back into “collection” basket? If so why? Am I right in my thinking or am I missing something? As long as fuel is getting sucked up with no leaks and 21 psi with ½ fuel line (at idle, don’t know about WOT yet) doesn’t really matter how return fuel is hooked up to. Other than return has to go back into tank. If fuel return matters, I can put in back in several ways…using draw straw or the fuel filler hose that has a metal fitting with connection tube or fuel module. But fuel module fittings are 3/8 inch line I think. (I fixed the sump, no longer leaks and now plugged off and want to a…

Here you go gang! I compiled a full wiring diagram PDF file for you to all enjoy for your 2002 Dodge Trucks. This is a heck of alot easier to read compared to the Dodge FSM manual that is just good old black and white. Go here to get it! https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/electrical/

Had a funny idle this morning. I have a 2.2k ohm resistor in my iat sensor but I dont see how it would have anything to do with it. Cranked up and drove to work this morning and all was fine. Got in my truck a couple hours later to go to my next store and truck cranked up and idled fine a few seconds then it idled to about 950 or so then back down to 800. It did this on and off for a minute until I put it in drive. Then got to my next store and it was doing the same thing when I parked, it would idle like this for 3-5 seconds high then 3-5 seconds low. I reset the apps and then came back out in a few hours and the truck was doing the same thing. Next store I reset the app…

So I'm getting a strange oder out of my vents when I first turn them on but goes away after a little bit. Everything works fine, A/c and heat work great. Its not a sweet smell at all so I'm pretty sure its not the heater core. Any thoughts let me know.

Can you get a G56 tranny to fit into an 01 3500? If so, how labor intensive & expensive is it?

Unlike @Mopar1973Man's issue of not having the transmission oil made any more, I'm having the issue of which oil to run in the G56. Dodge put regular atf in the transmission, and from what I can tell that was only to save money. Mercedes (the manufacture of the transmission) does NOT recommend atf, but rather the same stuff @Mopar1973Man is going to put in his nv4500. Mobil SAE50 Synthetic transmission oil is what is spec'd. There's also a hotshotter out there who has a fleet with g56 transmissions and has a coctail of multiple oils. I'm looking forward to hearing stories / opinions on what I should use. Thanks!

I'm placing a filter on the frame but have two choices, one is 60 gallon per hour and other is 90 gph pre filters to remove sediment and water before entering a new Raptor 150. Being that the 60 gph filter is shorter I need to know if that is adequate on a stock truck. There is conflicting information on the 5.9's requirements all over the net. Sorry Mike, I know you said 90gph before but, I'm just hoping for any degree of clearance under there and with info on the net the way it is, well.... Update: I just ran my other truck without the 60 GPH filter it has always had, its a 12 valve, to see how much effect it has on restriction (fuel pressure). T…

Ok now, so I finally got my Pod mount and my Pricol Gauges after quite some delay from GOS performance.....although I had to wait, they were good to deal with and answered my questions about the order promptly. Thanks MoparMan for the GOS referral. :thumbsup Now for the installation process. There were no specific instructions on installation, and I thought I had seen a thread for that on this board? Can anyone point me in the right direction for a clean install of the pod and gauges. Thanks Randy
