Who here is running a Fass Titanium and did a clean, nice install running your hose etc etc ? Got some question. I have a long bed. First question: Did you mount yours it at the most forward bed bolt bracket on your long bed ? Short bed would be like the second bracket back on a long bed. I called a Fass few times and asked some questions about their parts and install already. Post your pictures if ya got any

so i've had this thing for several months now and after a month or so of flawless working, it decided to screw up on mefor some odd reason, it won't show the water temp, IAT, and a few other things i forgetand before you ask, no i haven't tried it on another vehicle....but i don't think the problem is w/ my truck, because the water temp does show on the gaugeand just to say it...i did the gasser HP X gauge on mine, the only X gauge i have, and it seems to be pretty accurate...my motor is totally stock, and it read 230 HP in direct(4th gear) which seems about right for a motor w/ 139k that originally had 235....

First id like to introduce myself, im from delaware and have a 99 3500 dually. My problem is the trans shudders alil bit around 40-50mph, i took it to the trans shop and they got 2 codes, 1693 on the engine side and 1682 on the trans side of the tester. i know the 1682 is a charging issue, coyuld this cause the trans to act up? also, when i start the truck for the first min or so, the volts read way low like at 10, then slowly rise up to above 14v, while at idle the truck will have kinda like sudden dips in the lites and the noise the fuel pump makes dip for a sec and then normal, any help would be great, looking forward to the site as well, im fairly new to the cummins. …

I bought this 2001 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 4 x 4 with a 5.9L Cummins diesel for $500 and I have already put thousands of dollars into it, so I’m glad I didn’t pay more. I received the truck as is, and it would start and idle, but when you push the gas it only has one speed, which is 1400 RPM no matter how much pedal you give it and my odometer is displaying a “no bus”error, however all of my gauges do work. The truck had an adrenaline tuner on it, which I verified with the company that it was bad, so I pulled it all off. I have a compound turbo set up, and they spin and the impellers appear tight and no leaks in the boots. I have 120 hp injectors installed and studded hea…

From reading it seems normal idle for our trucks in park is 800-850. Mine idles smooth at 750, and I’m pretty sure it always has. Been paying closer attention to the truck as I try to figure out this low boost issue and some other little things. Truck starts right up, 1/2 a crank at 20F this morning. My concern is the Nations 180 amp alternator. Just making sure this isn’t effecting performance on that. Is 750 in the acceptable range? That’s 750, no ac. Auto trans in park. High idle kicks in as it should.

Installed Scan Gauge II and ran the setup. It gives me a 7.5 to 8.0 MPG while towing. My actual MPG was 10.2. Any ideas on what to do? Also, when towing my T/T (8800 lbs) into a slight headwind, I can barely maintain 60 MPH with the pedal on the floor. Is this normal? See signature for vehicle specs.ThanksMOHOK

You guys say i need a fuel pump relay. I buy a new relay and understand all the wiring to it. Crawl under the truck and find 2 wires going to my fuel pump. ! red and 1 black. OK find the ground. Use ohm meter, both go to ground. Fire the truck up and red reads 13.9 and black reads .3. Check black with ohm meter and it does not show ground. ?Probable goes to ground through computer?? So today I get a dead pedal / stumble off idle, erratically. First time it happened once on my 12min drive to work. Coming home it dead pedaled maybe three times. Could be dangerous when pulling out into traffic. Yesterday I did a 10 hour round trip at a high rate of speed, hit 130mph per GPS on my phone, did much of the trip at 85-100mph often pulling upto 110-120. Lets just say it was some real long, real open old highway and I had a long way to go. *I was trying to get back before it got really dark, any tips on additonal lights I could mount on my bumper that are cheap and effective I am open to. So the kicker is its a P0121 code, which after r…

Anyone using the Transfer Flow toolbox/fuel tank combo? Made a deal with a gent here in town last week and now I have a 50 gallon unit sitting in the back of the truck.Have not hooked it up yet and playing with options.First option is to hook it up using their computer display and enjoy. It monitors the fuel level of the main tank then adds fuel as needed in 5 gallon slugs.Had also wondered about just using it as an Aux fuel tank and putting a "on/off" stitch and controlling the flow manually. Before I do this, wondered if anyone else on the board had done this and had any suggestions or tips.Thx,FT

I need some help. I run a 2001 3500 2w drive dually 5 sp pulling a 40 gn trailer. Starting friday afternoon, my truck would get sudden power loses, usually in 5th gear. It will surge several times then resume operating normally. I might drive several hundred miles then out of the blue it will start surging again. I depress the clutch to see if it dies but it just goes to idle. When it's running right there is no problem, no lose of power and no misses. This is what I have done to it since march, I've put in a new lift pump, we have some wiring issues to the lift pump which was corrected and the block pump is completely out of the picture. The lift pump is an in tank mode…

My 1999 dodge diesel has been running fine except for rpms going up and down at 45 mph. Below that its fine and above that its fine. Thats just background info though. The truck just died. It cranks but wont start. I replaced the lift pump a while back as well as the throttle position sensor. Truck ran for a few months after that. I dont have a code reader and toggling the key does not generate any codes. Not sure where to turn to next. Any ideas? BTW the truck has 175k miles on it.

Ok fellas I need some help again!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead: Driving my ole truck down the road, an she started acting funny! So I started watching the gauges and everything is running ok, except the apps. The apps will be maintaining about 25% and then it will drop to 0% , and then it will pick back up an take off like nothing was ever wrong! There is no check engine light and no codes. With the engine off I can pust the pedal and it will build from 0-100 slowly or all at once! Could the tps or apps be going out on me?

Drove the truck into work this morning and everything was perfectly normal. Left work at 5, it fired up even more quickly than usual, with just the tiniest bump of the key, and seemed to be idling fine. Backed out of the parking space fine, and it wasn't til I pulled out of the parking lot that I noticed it sounded off. And then it started chugging, forcing me to shift it into neutral and keep the revs around 1200 to keep it alive. I pulled into the nearest parking lot to see what I could see, thinking maybe one of the intercooler boots blew off or something, but they looked fine. I tried revving it with the throttle cable, and it builds revs pretty quick, and only as it …

O.K.... Trans. starting acting weired, 3-4th gear hunt last week. i recalibrated the APPS and it fixed it, then Last Night coming down the Parkway cruising at 70MPH it started what felt like either jumping out of 4th Gear or TQ unlocking only for a split second, I MEAN IT WOULD ONLY DO IT SEAM LIKE WHEN I WOULD VERY SLIGHTLY DECREASE PRESSURE ON THE PEDAL. It would only last for a split second...... Done the key trick this morning and got "122 code But here's the thing, I just replaced the APPS with TIMBOS 8-months ago. I remember that at first when i put the volt meter on it following Tims instructions on adjusting free travel my orginal voltage was way high over w…

First time posting but I’ve reading and gaining from this site for quite some time . Thus the title of this post. I’m really struggling with my truck and I’ve read just as much as I possibly can. My background (just so no one is afraid to through anything complicated at me) is 10 years of diagnosing and repairing medium and heavy duty trucks and now about to reach my 5th year of being a shop manager. Sorry this might be long winded. My 99 is a fairly new purchase and it wasn’t acting up when I got but now it’s getting terrible. The two main issues are : when I first leave my house and start driving it will (only once or twice) loose power but it’s …

When you guys get shiny new performance parts or even replacement parts do you inspect them before installing them? I've always made it habit to give the part a quick once over before installing, more so with parts from the auto parts stores than expensive performance parts. Anyway I had ordered a BD flex plate for my truck and it showed up today. Not 10 seconds out of the box I noticed that a few of the tack welds that hold the starter ring gear on had appeared to be cracked. From arms length you'd have a hard time noticing it, but I work in a weld/fab shop so naturally I see these things daily. I put a call in to BD and explained to them that I had found what appeared t…

Truck decided not to restart once Saturday, started Sunday and died once, one restart since then. No rhyme or reason. but. . . I have 8 volts on the grounds at the Aux. battery for the PCM and ECM. Disconnect them with the key on and everything comes on like normal but no start. (no voltage on VP pin 7) Reconnect and it will start. (voltage on VP pin 7) Will restart everytime after you disconnect and reconnect grounds at Aux. battery. Any thoughts?
