I seen an aftermarket "commercial grade" or industrial grade AAOS... It's 200.00 us plus tax shipping duty exchange rate etc. found some on ebay that seem to be garbage then found some other ones that are apparently good quality for a couple hundred bucks less...?? ISUMO is the brand... Anyone have any insite on this? Can i save some money or should i buy that comercial grade apps (tps)? I know there has to be a quality difference because i run D10 and D11 Cat Dozers in the Rocky Mountains of Canada here and they take one heck of a beating and we never have electrical issues... Those Cats never stop running 24-7 unless they are in for servicing... …

Can some one point me in the right direction on how to make sure my lift pump (FASS 150) isn't wired directly of an ECM but rather of a battery through a relay. I installed everything according to instructions. There is a relay also that I believe is hooked to battery and a plug under a truck that is plugged in to FASS wiring. Maybe it's fine already by going with an aftermarket lift pump and only affected if you still use factory frame pump. Is there a thread on this and maybe pictures? Just want to make sure, Thanks.

First time poster, appreciate all the info exchanged here. 2001 2500 ETH (six speed) 245HP (I have owned the truck since new - June of 2000) I think the current (subject) VP was installed by me around 2003??? and is the second replacement pump on this engine. I have always changed fuel filters and "check" lift pump pressure with a mechanical gauge which is anywhere from 6 PSI WOT to 12-14 PSI (25 second no start check). I have a FASS DDRP installed (2011), (new overflow valve and fuel drain valve installed recently. So......I am here looking for a little help I have had an intermittent dead pedal about one year now.....It has progressively gotte…

Kind of an odd issue........ Went to start the truck, was kind of cold, ran the grids and truck started no problem. Drove a short distance (@1 mile), the engine stumbled just a bit (maybe 1/2 second), and check engine light lit, then it ran normally. Ran a couple miles, stopped and scanned it, threw a code for the crank sensor (I think it was 0336). Erased it and restarted the truck, drove @6 hours with no issues. Couple days later, another cold start, moved the truck maybe 150 feet and shut it off to load up. Restarted it (no grids this time), a short stumble and got a check engine light. Moved it maybe 200 feet, shut it off, fueled up. Scanned it, same code, cleare…

The truck starts up good then it starts to have what sounds like a miss and idles real rough and runs rough under 2k rpm (cold or hot). Any time I let off to shift it runs rough. Have had a Po122 that came and then went off the next morning. Fuel pressure stays around 16-17. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 02 3500 HO, 210k, 75hp stick( new from DAP), Fass 150, Diablo Power Puck. Have guages.

So a buddy of mine, messing around in the snow today hit a curb with the rear right tire on his 01 HO truck. Now when I say hit I mean HIT it hard. The part of the rim where they clip weights on folded over onto the rim and broke. The axle is sitting 1/2in or more to the driver side, and the tire is sitting further back in the wheel well, almost rubbing the mudflap. It was packed with snow when he called me over, but from what I could gather the U bolts on the passenger side are bent, shifting the axle to the side. The block is also not centered between the U bolts anymore. It looks like it may have sheared the bolt that sticks through the bottom of the spring and sl…

Hay all. I've had a Diablo PP, boost elbow and boost fooler for quite some time. Recently the fooler died so I removed it. I still can get boost over 27, yet I don't throw a code? What am I missing? I thought I'd get a code after 22? Or will I have to maintain 22+ for a certain amount of time ?? Thoughts? Thank you.

Hi, I've been having trouble with my 02 3500- it won't start! it'll turn over and occasionally kick once or twice but won't go- a couple of weeks ago my fuel gelled and I put in some Diesel911 to try to move it along, it started and ran for like 60 seconds, then quit- we drained out the old diesel and put in fresh, it's got 15lbs of fuel at the vp44- we put in a new cam sensor b/c the cam and pump weren't quite in synch, checked with a solus programmer- values all read ok but it won't run or throw any codes. I took out the injection pump thinking I may have sheared the key, its not sheared but it is pretty beat up- does this mean that the pump …

Hey all... I have been wanting to add an exhaust brake since I took owner ship of my truck. Would be especially nice when towing my camper. Anyway... I know I will need a torque lock controller. The opportunity has come about for a used Pacbrake. It is off an manual.. so no controller.. but does come with a compressor and tank.. don't need it just a bonus. All parts appear to be around 7 years old and seem a bit used/weathered/rusty (see pics) My question(s)... would the age or weathered/rust bother you? Do they wear down/out? Everything will cost around $500 plus the road trip... Another thing.. I asked if it was 3 or 4 inch.. he said it …

Yesterday I heard a 2nd get start in a parking lot. Very throaty and the turbo spool up was also very obvious at start and idle. Is this possible with just exhaust work or is this a turbo upgrade too?

I replaced my vp-44 a couple years ago, and had my ecm rebuilt .Since then my mileage has dropped over 2 M.P.G. ,I had never had my ecm reflashed until last month. I was hopping my mileage would improve but it didn't. I don't have any issues with starting or the way it runs. I was thinking about getting a Edge Comp box.I already have a B.D. pump cover with the tap wire, but never did get a performance box. Here's my mileage # city now 12.5 M.P.G. highway 16.8 M.P.G.. Previously I got 14.5 M.P.G. city and over 20 on the highway .I've got 20# of boost at wide open throttle and no or very little black smoke . Exhaust temps never get above 1200 deg. I was considering …

Hello all.... I have a 99 2500 Auto 4x4.....I just killed my in tank factory lift pump after 340km it in turn killed my reman IP... I installed a Bosche IP Unit I had on stand by....I cycled the Lift pump 4 times at 25 sec each, then with all 6 lines cracked at injector end I cranked. Got good fuel squirt out of 4 5 6 holes,so i tightened them down... Cranked again and got good fuel squirt at 2 so tightened it down. 3rd crank session I got fuel at 1 and 3.....so I tigtened them down Cycled the Lift pump 2 cycles and started cranking to fire..... Hi all, ive been trying for a few months now to get my scanguage calibrated. I followed all instructions to the letter, as far as I can tell, but many fill ups later I was still having to adjust the offset percentage by around 100%. I tried messing with diesel a and diesel b today on the drive to work to see if it changed the gph, but it was really hard to tell. However, most of the time it seems like the gph reading is way lower than it should be. Even beyond the typical 0 at idle. Is it possible that my truck is incorrectly reporting fuel consumption? Is there any way to test or calibrate that? Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I love the scanguage for its…

This question gets asked a lot here, so I figured I'd take a video. Right now this engine has between 11,000 and 12,000 miles on it, and YES it has some blowby just like all engines do. My point being don't be freaked out by a little bit of blowby (Engine at 190* after a 40 mile drive)
