Just tried to look at Vulcan Performance's website and its been replaced with a generic one that usually pops up when either the bill for the website has not been paid or a company has gone out of business. Then tried to call their 800 number and "please hold while we try to connect you" followed by "no one is available, please leave a message" ... Anyone know whats going on? 800 991 7996 http://www.VulcanPerformance.com Trying to price new VP44's and looks like they are not going to be on the list...

Ok guys I need some help! Just purchased pyro and tranny temp gauges to go along with my FP gauge. Got some questions: 1. Do you put the tranny sensor on the line that is on the left front corner of the tranny? 2. Is there any reason why they sent a 6' connector wire that goes from the pyro sensor to the elctrical sensor for the pyro? Looks like the wires are already long enough to connect! 3. Where is the best place to get the 12v power source for these 2 electrical boxes? I have seen a picture as to where to drill the manifold for the pyro sensor, I will look for that! Thanks for your input!Update:After looking for the picture where to put the EGT probe, I go and look a…

I have a Isspro mechanical fuel gauge in my truck. I never got around to hooking up the light for the gauge. I very rarely drive the truck at night. The question I have is..there are two prongs on the back of the gauge. Does it matter which one is the hot and which one is the ground? Neither of them are marked with a + or - sign. Also, I am wondering if you guys have had good luck using "add-a-fuse" connectors? FP gauge is the only after market electrical accessory I have on the truck. I was thinking of using the add a fuse connectors to get a power source out of the panel. Wondering if you guys have had good success using those?Or if I should use another way to…

Ok guys, bout to pull the trigger on an Airdog 100 as soon as my tax return comes in but had a few questions. First off, my Isspro ev2 fuel pressure gauge seems to be acting funny. When I get in and crank the truck in the mornings when engine is colder the gauge will go to zero for a minute and then pop up to about 10-12 at idle which is where it normally is. No rhyme or reason though I can be driving and it will drop to zero and sometimes stay there or pop back up. My set up on the gauge is I tapped into the test port of the vp44 with a banjo/snubber bolt to a grease gun hose then to my sending unit. I used teflon tape on everything but the banjo bolt to the vp44. I…

Hello all, I have a Isspro oil pressure gauge(R17211) due to arrive hopefully Monday and wanted to know if I could mount it on the drivers side in what I believe is an oil gallery. I have been looking at threads on the forums and most I find most are about the CR's. Looking to see if this is what I think it is and if it is has anyone used this as a location for the sender. Otherwise I will use the port on the oil cooler/filter housing.

My truck runs rough at idle, any throttle position, unloaded, under load, doesn't matter. Now it is NOT a cylinder misfire. However, it does seem to sound consistent when i enable 6 cylinder high idle. You can hear it and feel it in the truck during high idle (you can even see it in the mirrors. I have tried to take a video but it doesn't really show up well because the truck is just so loud. Now in 6 cylinder high idle (at 1200) rpms the "miss" is Consistent but about once every second or so. How can this be?! The whole fuel system seems to check out. Fuel pressure is all normal. Still have great fuel economy and power. There is usually a heavy lope when cold, then clear…

So I have a 2001 dodge cummins with the 6 speed manual, it has 50 horse injectors (50k on them) new vp44 (20k on that) the batteries are fairly new. It also has a pacbrake, air dog 150 which was installed before the new VP44 and a holset turbo that pushes a little more boost than stock and it also has a 4 in straight pipe. The issue with this truck is I have a miss and I called the kid tonight and he bought the APPS sensor from dieselsource.com and HE DID NOT CALIBRATE it. He told me he was getting his dead pedal in the same area I said it was missing at. I have cleaned the IAT sensor, probed the ECT and it all checked out good the only codes are a P0500 ( speed sensor si…

I took of my Injection Pump to replace my tappet cover gasket. Truck has seemingly no issues before hand other than a drop in fuel mileage. After taking everything off and putting back on carefully i have come across the following symptoms: trouble codes - p0216/p1693 excessive white smoke at idle dead pedal across all RPM ranges fuel mileage around the 11mpg ranges hard cranking now that temperatures have dropped 0 movement from vehicle before engine gets to around 190* (truck will move under idle but 0 throttle response) I am about to get a fuel pressure gauge to double check but other testing seems within no…

Hey all, I bought a 98.5 2500 ram about 6 months ago and have been slowly working through getting everything road worthy again. I noticed that I can’t shift much at all past drive on the column, so I did my research and found the adjustment screw and rod, and attempted to adjust that, but soon realized the reason it won’t shift past drive is because the chunk that attaches to the rod is hitting the bell housing of the trans. I’m kind of stumped as to what would cause this and more importantly how to go about adjusting it back slightly. I’ve attached some pictures below to sort of help describe what’s going on. Any help would be extremely appreciated

so i just had the local highly recommended tranny guy rebuild my burnt toasted transmission.first thing, the starter sounds different. do these use shims like the old Chevy's? sounds like its meshing to tight. or something. is this easy to adjust?second. when in gear pushing the pedal the first say 1/4-1/2 inch is really stiff. then it loosens up as it used to be. but only while in gear, R-N-D. not so in park. might this be the "shift kit" that was installed. when in park, no issues pedal is smooth and easy as can be. just how firm do you with auto's shift? i was expecting to feel a difference after the hyped up parts list. but don't feel different to me. mu shutter in lo…

Wasn't RUNNING that is. We were on our way to drop the truck off to get the heat/AC fixed. I'd already driven 25 miles... I was going 35-40 when suddenly I lost the power steering... cause the engine had shut off. I pulled off the road into the only space available. I still had 1/4 tank of fuel... old fuel been in since Sept/Oct. I've only been driving enough to keep the brakes from freezing. The engine turns over nicely. No run. I did the key thing. PCU -------- ECM -------- The mice had built a nest in the air cleaner (which I'd recently cleaned out)... mostly insulation material from the firewall. (Hood insulation removed long ago.) My buddy …

VP44 gave me fits, and took almost a full 2 hours of cranking, charging, cranking, charging, cranking, charging, tightening lines, and finally, finally after all that priming drama, it started up. Timing is dead-nuts on, starts with a twist of the key, no codes, nothing. Next up: get Wal Mart to replace the dying twin of the battery I made them replace last month; pull the bed to install Mr. FASS150, and procure a Vulcan big line kit. www.ronman.org/misc/truck1.mov www.ronman.org/misc/truck2.mov

I noticed downloaded Quadzilla tunes are in json format. Is there a schema for key value pairs available to decipher the tunes? I’m new to tuning and Just trying to learn a bit more about how this all works. The data doesn’t read intuitively, like {“max valet power mode”:”30”}. Instead all values are coded, like {“135”:”144”, “15”:”6”}
