I was going through the drive-thru today and notice a shutter when creeping ahead. Once I got my order I went into a empty parking lot and did a bunch of turns and found that if I turn left (at a idle) the truck will shutter not a lot but enough I noticed. It does not do it turning right or when going at normal speeds say going around a corner. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and trying to learn as much about my dodge as I can to keep it on the road. I just put an isspro fuel pressure gauge on it confirmed that I need a lift pump. (not that I didn't know that already). My question is I have been looking at lp and I've decided to go with the air dog 100 big line kit whatever I need to do it right. I have no plans for engine/power upgrades I'm just looking for longevity and later on who knows I might want to add something. Just wondering if I'm on the right track. Your input is appreciated.

I work in the oilfield, and was helping one of the mechanics fix one of our coil tubing wet kits, namely the hydraulics cooler and fan. It got me thinking about transmission coolers, which led me to think about using one for a fuel cooler, fan and all. Would it be a waste? I also read about FedEx(I think) had problems with their fleet trucks breaking down because of their vp pumps, so they used heat sinks and apparently the problems dropped dramatically. Anyone hear about this? Just thinking too much again about how I can prolong the life of my pump, different ideas, etc.

Today making a drive to drop off some deer meat to be packaged, my trucks alternator voltage jumped to 18v for a couple of minutes, then went back to normal. First thing I am going to check is my grounds. If they check out to be clean and good should I put in a external voltage regulator like on the 12 valves?

Good afternoon everyone, Got a few questions. Last year April 2019 I installed DAP 100hp injectors and noticed what I thought maybe an odd low knocking noise at idle. My truck is the only cummins diesel I've owned and I'm no pro at knowing diesels. As the year went on the sound seems to have gotten more noticeable. Below are two videos. Do you guys think it's an injector knock or something worse? Engine load per Quadzilla is around 10% at idle with rpms around 800. Fuel pressure is steady at 15-16psi. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Tim

I just received and installed my Timbo APPS and did everything the instruction said and watched his videos as well. Then when I started the truck it quickly jumped up to around 1000 rpm and didn’t drop. Tried to recalibrate once again and it still is idleing high. Please help as this is my only vehicle currently.

Ok. I did the ground wire mod for my landlord Cummins Truck. He had a bad alternator (Bosch) which was crossing the 60mV line with AC noise. After the the mod it dropped to 10 to 12mV AC. Typically it does make a huge improvement. Next day it pops the breaker. I assumed the diodes are bad enough to blow the breaker from shorting diode. Changed to a brand NEW Denso alternator. Drove the truck to my house and the alternator was hot and pop the 150A breaker again. At this point its my breaker from my truck in place and it popped again which my truck has never popped the breaker. Found out a sticking grid heater relay could pr…

What are the normal numbers a person should see from the IAT sensor this time of the year? This being without a diode stuffed into the wiring connector or having one of Prowelders setup hooked up! I see about 107*. Thanks for any help.

Okay, since diesel engines do not create vacuum unlike the gasoline engine, I need to gain a full understanding of how this works.I believe my system needs a lookin' at. I got a leak going on at the vacuum pump, PS area. It looks like one of the pieces on the unit uses crankcase oil to lubricate as well?Does the powersteering fluid get used in the hydroboost?....does not compute. I need to know what seal or rebuild kits to get fix this mumbo jumbo.

I am looking for a new turbo and would appreciate your input. I currently have a hx35/40. I rarely tow, but would like to keep that capability. I really want low smoke, quickish spool, and enough air to keep things cool. I like drivability and don't race. Perhaps, I have too much injector as currently I have the comp dialed back and the smarty as well. I have too much fuel for the turbo I have at present. From my reading and thinking... A 63/68/14 might work well, but I am not sure. Money is always a concern as well... Plus, anybody want a hybrid?

Can somebody give me a number of grounds under the hood. I am thinking maybe some grounds are missing. I know the truck was wrecked before I bought it, but very little damage, left fender and grill.I am haveing problems with vp44's I am on the 4th one now, and grounds are all I can think of. I am thinking if I just go buy a wireing harness I will know all conections are good and all grounds are there. Thanks

I have a 2001 Cummins 4x4 6 speed manual. With edge comp box. Valair DD Clutch. It has a small lift pump on the frame rail. The filter is an external unit from the LP. Also the previous owner said that it had an Industrial Injection Hot Rod VP44 Injection Pump. It is Otherwise stock. Today when I got into the truck to drive to work it had the Check Engine Light on. So I cycled the key three times and read the codes. They are PCU - P0163 P Done P ECU - P0237 P0382 P0380. I have noticed that when I get into 5th and 6th gear. If I’m not heavy on the pedal that it likes to shutter a little. Like fuel filter is clogged or if your in to high of a gear goi…
