I know Gloshift aren't the best gauges out there, Probably not the most accurate and a budget alternative to better brands such as autometer or isspro. I need to get some gauges on soon, especially fuel pressure. I recently had a lift pump fail and don't want to be surprised like that again. I'll add a FP gauge first and boost and EGT soon to follow. Anyone here run the Gloshift gauges? How good/bad are they? I'm sure they'll do for a while until budget allows upgrades. I don't have any big mods, mainly stock truck with plans on bigger injectors and boost elbow this spring or summer to have a bit more pulling power to tow our 36' 5th wheel.

I have an 01 3500 HO i just replaced about every sensor n the truck along with the grounding mods and alternator mods. The truck is breaking up bad through the whole RPM range. it does puff white and black smoke from the exhaust. I just resolved an issue with my AirDog loosing ground and cutting out. i have the following codes. P0230 P0254 P0370 P1690 What route should i go next?

So I was on here a little while back on the topic of swapping a 98.5 motor in an 02 truck and with all the headache surrounding it i had found a good deal on an 01 with low miles and was just curious if it just needed a map sensor adapter to work and if they were a direct swap unlike the older engines with the crank sensor

Hey all, if any of you saw my fuel in oil post, I'm planning to upgrade my injectors a tad bit. Planning to go with 150s from 125s and then I'll be done adding power to the truck unless I come across a lot of money lol. I'm debating on going "cheap" and getting 7x010 VCO from DAP. If I got this route, should I just do the remans or do I get the new Bosch bodies? What's the biggest difference in these injectors when it comes to brand? They all seem to be Bosch injectors with bigger holes... So I wonder why buy one that is more expensive? Other brand I'm looking at is Infinite, 1BadVP44 sells them and TJ seems to love their injectors. There's a chance my injectors are fine …

My truck on longer journeys usually has my trailer hooked up and I lock out OD, everything has been fine also I tend to lockout OD around here also as it means the convertor is locked for much longer so revs down and MPG up, it can trundle along just over our lowest built up area speed limit of 30 just nice, pretty flat here. Yesterday I went to fit a turbo boost sensor on a Volvo loading shovel, already visited to diagnose and was 100% sure so no need for my trailer just the part and a 8mm ratchet spanner and a small screwdriver Noticed the change from 3rd to 4th was harsh and not what it usually is bearing in mind It may not have done that upshift for a…

Base Info, 1999 FASS fuel pump on the block new injectors at75 hp new tubes and lines on all injectors, new exhaust manifold 3 piece with new banks intake. Quadzilla Adrenaline Daily driver tune The issue I have is.... there is an inconsistent time for the WTS light to come on. there is also a duration the light stays on Some time when I start the Dodge she fires rite up half a turn and she comes to life other times she will turn over and not start until the second and some time the third try I am thinking the module that controls the WTS light seems to be in league with the issue. I don't remember it taking so long to come on. when I put the key in the ignit…

So ever since I installed this new pump and switched all my pricol gauges over to the new to me 02 3500 cab and chassis the pump pressure has been 21psi. I switched the 17psi spring back out for the 15psi spring and dropped it 1psi. With my foot in it it will only drop to 19psi. I have a new gauge coming to test my gauge but was just curious if this has been heard of before? I talked to AirDog and they werent very much help due to simply it is what it is until the new gauge says its the pump. He did mention cutting coils off the spring but I think the pump should go back if it comes to that. Thanks

So on my way to work this morning I noticed my pedal was for the most part dead. No acceleration and the engine was "missing" for lack of a better term. Made it to work, truck idled smooth like any other day but if revved a few times it would begin to miss again. Had the OBD scanner in the truck so plugged in and saw the P0216 code. That was the only code present. I know this is the VP death code but before I drop big $$$ on a pump, is there anything else I need to look at? I want to properly diagnose this and not just throw money at it. Can't afford that rout right now. Thanks in advance......

I have a GS fuel psi gauge I have been using since I installed my FASS pump 7 years ago. Since I installed the FASS it has always hovered around 14-15psi with the sensor mounted on the pump. When I got my Edge tuner I added a second sensor in the line 12" before the VP44 and it also hovered around the same level. When I got the quad, I used the same sensor I was using with the Edge as it plugged right in. A few days ago my GS gauge began reading 0psi, I pulled up the Quad fuel reading for the first time and noticed it was around 25psi which I thought was odd but figured I had pressure so I'm good. While trying to figure out the GS gauge issue I noticed my FASS wouldn…

Hey guys, I hope everyone had a nice holiday season. I believe that I have another random electrical gremlin but not sure where to start. So, it started the other morning on the way to the office, the truck started randomly surging as I was cruising down the interstate. I was traveling between 65 and 70mph, and it feels like the truck is accelerating on it own. I can hear the engine raise RPM’s about 100 RPM and I can feel the truck accelerate for about .5- 1 sec, then it goes back to normal and then it happens again. It is totally random, sometimes it happens at slower speeds and sometimes it only happens when driving at highway speeds, and sometimes it does not hap…

Yup sad to say the turbo I was running start sounding different on my last trip to McCall for parts and really low in boost pressure like 21 PSI. So this morning I pulled the truck in and start just looking and figured I would do just check the shaft play. Well that moves in and out just a few thousandth and the compressor wheel made contact with the housing I know the bearings are done. Thank Gawd that I kept my old stock HX35W turbo and just installed it back on. Back to making a solid 35 PSI of boost. Truthfully I would love to upgrade turbos but I know I'm going to need a new exhaust brake and install a PacBrake Inline on the 4 inch pipe. Then I could upgrade to a big…

Has anyone tried this? Just curious, says 1 oz to 25 gal. For southern eng's in hot weather.

Been working this issue the last few months between work trips, finally home long enough to actually dive into it. Think I have it narrowed down, but would like bounce ideas off the brain collective. issue is if the truck is left longer than 12hrs you’ll have to cycle the lift pump for a bit to start first hit of the key. If not it’ll crank 5-10 seconds before start. Tried it all, on hills nose up/down and flat ground also. Truck has new fuel lines, new rubber seals at fittings, new injectors and seals, all fittings are tight with no leaks. the only “leak” I’ve noticed on the truck is the water drain on the factory fuel bowl, not much but eno…

So I just got my gauges switch over from my 01 truck to the 02 truck both are 3500, I need to change all my truck info those two trucks are gone in my sig. But anyhow I have a snubber and a needle valve in the 1/2 in fuel line going to the vp44. Well when I first fired it up fuel pressure was 20psi and it stayed there for 30 seconds or so and went down to 17.50 and pretty much stays in that area. I took the truck down the road for 2 miles and back and on my way back it climbs to 20-21 psi and has stayed there, shut it off fired it back up and still 20psi. I removed the spring airdog150 pump came with and put the 17psi spring in. Im wondering is spring in a bind or is my g…

Hey all, I am back again sadly for more problems. I'll tell the backstory and all symptoms I'm having. Was headed home yesterday and check gauges light came on. Had oil pressure but noticed voltage was not reading. Parked the truck and shut it off and saw there was fluid leaking in front of the engine. Popped the hood and the belt came off and I assume it knocked the catch can (tbh I haven't emptied it and I've owned the truck for over a year) Noticed there was fuel in the fluid (oil) leaking and I smelled raw diesel. Checked the oil and there was sure as **** fuel and a damn good amount. Forums seems to say it's either injectors, crossover tubes, or the seal …

Hey guys new member here! Buckle up this is gonna be a long one. Lol I have a 99 3500 with a 6speed swap. Bought the truck not running from an auction. First thing I noticed when trying to get running was it had a lift pump in the tank that looked factory ran never seen that before. Got truck running by just replacing batteries. Install a fass 100. My issue is now truck runs and idles good but I have no tach , power loss , and extended crank sometimes and a crank sensor fault. Replace crank sensor 3 times no change. So my thought was tone ring so I pulled starter and sensor to try and inspect tone ring. Here’s where it gets weird. I don’t see a tone ring? All I see throug…

I was curious if anyone on here has done the reverse and went from a manual to an auto trans? In my 99 Cummins 4x4 that I used to have a few years ago, I swapped out the auto trans and installed a rebuilt NV4500 that my buddy and I overhauled and installed a brand new South Bend single disk clutch. I kept my ECM and PCM and installed a manual trans stock tune file from Mads with a Smarty and it ran great after that. At the time my left knee had stage 4 arthritis in it and it wasn't liking a stiff clutch at all, so I found a friend that had a verified rebuilt auto trans with paperwork from Baker City, and we spent a long day swapping transmissions and input sha…

Anyone have an aftermarket supplier of the lines that connect to the side of the HE (coolant lines/metal tubes)? I am going to keep the HE in place but want to replace these lines as they are 21 years old and starting to leak. Ideas? Bruce

Hey guys, My son has a 2001 Ram 2500 and the two lines (trans. lines) that come off the bottom seep/leak consistently. I had the idea of just removing it altogether but wanted to see what everyone's opinion is. He does not haul anything and just drives it to and from work. My idea was to just plug the two bottom ports (trans. ports) with NPT fittings and take the line from the front of the transmission to the transmission cooler. The output of the transmission cooler to the rear port on the transmission. Seems to be the easiest route and not having to mess with the coolant lines from the Heat Exchanger. He has new flexible AN lines, but just…

  20. So yesterday made a trip to my dad's house to help him with a couple things. When I walked to my truck to leave I noticed some coolant on the driveway. Checked the levels before I left and it was still full so I'll check it hot when I get home. I found a Crack in the plastic tank on the driver's side behind the intercooler. (See pic) Perfect timing right before Christmas and all. You know, when everyone is a little tight on funds because of gift buying and such. My question is: has anyone here used the JB weld radiator repair kit for plastic? I'm on the fence about doing a repair like that for now or just bite the bullet and buy new. RA has 1 for $163 plus sh…
