P0713 (trans temp sensor high) P1763 (governor pressure sensor high) P0753 (overdrive solenoid circuit) P0753A (shift solenoid A electrical) I dont know what to make of these codes. Are they painting some sort of picture I can’t see? It feels like it’s shifting alright... I am just about to put a new TC and transgo kit in the valve body

Gents, I think I am going to pick up a set of Fast coolers from Genos Garage. Since they come in sets of two would anyone be interested in buying the other one? I don't think I can fit the passenger side with the 5" exhaust. I just want the pre-tapped hole for the temp sensor, and some extra cooling. If no one wants one it's going up for sale on the classifieds here and on CF. I'd be willing to pay more than half since I would be getting the one that's tapped. @Mopar1973Man if you're interested PM me and we can work an even lower price since you keep this place running! https://www.genosgarage.com/product/fc-6-spd-dg/transmission-coolers

There's some plastic clips that hold the trans. cooler lines and keeps them separated and in place so they don't rub. The one clip attaches to an oil pan stud. During a maintenance inspection I noticed mine broke and the line is rubbing through. Got a new line and hose coming from R A. Anybody know where I can get those clips?

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram diesel 4x4 that has developed a transmission fluid leak at the transmission cooler line to hose "quick disconnect" connection, once I finally got the connection apart, there is an o-ring inside the hose side connector. Is the o-ring available and where? Anyone have the part number for the hose line with the connector, I have searched and cannot find a part number. I prefer a good quality part, as it is very difficult to get to the trans cooler end and I don't want to have to replace it again. There are two hoses and I can't remember now which one I need, I think it is the hose closest to the driver side, but if I had both part numbers I could fig…

My trans dip stick pops up a little, I shove it back down and 3 or 4 tanks worth of fuel later the dip stick has poped backed out maybe half inch. Dont know what's causing it, vibration or pressure from venting is pushing it back out. Been doing this for long time. Any ideas what's going on? and if normal is it ok to put something on it to hold down to keep dust out? Do you have this problem? Are other vent holes maybe plugged and creating more venting out of dip stick hole?

Ok, 2001 dodge cummins 4x4 333000 miles. Original transmission. Barely any flakes at transmission oil changes. Driving the truck at 35 mph and 3rd gear. Letting up slightly on throttle it downshifts to second. Takes lots of throttle to kick back into 3rd. Also does the same thing at higher speeds downshifting from od to 3 when going down a hill or letting up on throttle. I assumed it was the gov solenoid and transducer. Changed that with the kit from cassadia transmission on eBay. It didn't change anything. Adjusted tv cable. Didn't change the problem maybe moved the speed slightly as to when it happens. Took it to a shop I trust for them to run it on sc…

I drove the truck for the first time in 4 weeks and started getting a no 2-3 up shift condition. It will up shift when backing off the accelerator. All the other shift points are at the proper speed/throttle position. The transmission speed sensor was replaced 8/8/18 (107,893mi) due to no 1-2 up shift but would start off in 3ed if transmission relay was pulled. Transmission was serviced with front and rear band adjustment 9/1/18 (108,024) then a 1,000mi trip in October pulling the 5er with no problems. The transmission now has 109,362mi. I'm thinking it may be the governor pressure sensor and solenoid. They were replaced about 45k mile …

Since I'm down here in Mojave Valley AZ the daytime temps are 112 to 116°F out it been getting easy for the teansmission to reach 170 to 180F without a trailer. Now with my homebrew heat shield is take much longer to get temp and is roughly 20 to 40°F cooler now floating around 140°F after going to Bullhead City AZ and back to Needles CA and home again just at 145°F compared to yesterday at 180°F. The test run was 50 miles in today's heat and traffic.

What Do I need to do get a 3x TC or should I have it rebuilt and have a tc also.. Im looking for idea's on how I can beef up my tranny with out spending a ton.. Ive looked at ats tranny's and wish I could just get one of them but they want 4k for a stage 1 tranny.. Not sure my wallet can handle that with a 1600 core charge on top of it all.. So what do you recommend..I dont race so boosted launches is not happening, and I never tow over 15k lbs. I dont pull at truck pulls so that…

Ok, finally got my truck back from the shop after my leaking fuel return line was replaced. Today I was out doing some errands and I noticed occasionally when I put it in drive it would hesitate to engage and just Rev up. I would have to either wait or try shifting to park and back and finally it would go into gear. Then it upgraded it's ability to make me want to drive it into the nearest tree by acting like it would lose all power at the trans like it had no go at all. Then out of the blue it would start acting like it should again. I don't think the clutches are bad cause when it works it works, but for the life of me I'm just scratching my head again. …

1999 stock 24 valve Cummins. 2wd. Over 350k on it, when purchased in 2011 I was told some work had been on the transmission, but not sure what (it had 278k at that time). We live on good 'ole Monteagle mountain, and this truck's main purpose in life is hauling a horse trailer. I don't need anything fancy, just dependable. About a year ago, while hauling the horse trailer on the interstate it shifted funny a few times, and the engine felt like it got bogged down. No biggie, maybe bad fuel or something? Drove fine for months. Randomly, the odometer/speedometer, and port where my ScanGauge plugs in quit working About 6 months ago, the tru…

My truck has been sitting for several weeks in the shop not being used. It has never leaked anywhere except the crankcase vent then only a couple of drops after parking. I have the 47 tranny, 4 wheel drive with 102,000 miles. I dropped the tranny pan and adjusted the bands about 5K ago and filled with fresh fluid. Pan was very clean. Now after sitting probably 7 weeks I start seeing a leak where the transfer case and tranny meet. It didn't start leaking until this week. Any ideas?

I got the sudden urge to creep underneath the truck earlier, and discovered an oil leak at the end of the transmission where the driveline connects. There's a gasket there and that's where the oil is leaking from. There's a drip there, I don't even wanna know how much fluid I've already lost just from driving it. Luckily I caught it in time and know it's there now. Anybody know what I'm talkin about? How hard of a fix is this?

We have the 47e automatic transmission on our 99 Dodge Cummins... purchased with around 150K and we just rolled over 200K... When our truck was in the shop around 175K I asked our mechanic to flush the transmission and he was hesitant since we did not know whether the prior owner had regularly changed the fluids. Any thoughts? We are currently experience the torque lock problem around 45-50 mph that is addressed in several other posts on here... so we are going to replace the alternator in the next few days... So any other suggestions on preventative measures to prolong the life of our transmission would be great! Thanks

My buddy replaced his mount and told me it stiffened up the truck a bit. He thought if might even took away some shudder in lockup. I picked up a new one and put it in tonight. The old one was nasty. Definitely has fixed my shudder.

Hey everyone, Im new here and i have been having a problem with my 2001. I get a "grinding" noise from the transmission area that sounds like you are driving over a rumble strip. i can't figure it out what the problem is. I have tried pulling the relay for the trans out, removing the alternator fuse, and wrapping the ground wire in foil. This happens either I'm driving around town or on the highway. It does it under light acceleration but not under heavy acceleration. But it keeps making the sound when just coasting along or light pressure on the gas. I can only make it stop if I shift down to 1st and let my truck engine brake to a stop. Any suggestion would be great

So I definetly need to replace the lines that run from the hard lines in the engine bay to the cooler up front on the radiator. Right now they are old rubber lines. But I want to use steel braided hose and some nice fittings. The guy at the trans shop recommended 8am fittings. My question is are their fittings on the hard lines that are in the engine bay by the crank case vent or are they just like barbed on the end? That's the only thing I can't figure out. Thanks guys

47re troubles: Replaced governor solenoid and sensor and filter last year, did band adjustment, tranny still slams into 4th unless I plan the shift and let off the throttle. Tranny searches between 3rd and 3rd lock-up with OD off going slow on the back roads but shifts strong at throttle. Transmission overdrive & lockup solenoid? Speed sensor too? Something else to replace while I have the pan off?...can't afford a built tranny till at least next year

Hi Guys,I have a situation where the truck once started (starts very easily) and I start to move off, it will often not change from 1st gear though the engine revs up (2002 auto tranny 57RE). Consequently, the truck moves at maybe 30kph. I have found that if I pull over, put the trans in park and shut the engine off and leave it for a minute or so and then restart and put it into drive, the truck will drive away normally, shifting through the gears as if nothing had happened. For the rest of the day the truck acts and performs normally.I have no codes show up and I have around 12 psi at idle and maybe 9psi at speed.Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening. Should I r…
