So I just got my gauges switch over from my 01 truck to the 02 truck both are 3500, I need to change all my truck info those two trucks are gone in my sig. But anyhow I have a snubber and a needle valve in the 1/2 in fuel line going to the vp44. Well when I first fired it up fuel pressure was 20psi and it stayed there for 30 seconds or so and went down to 17.50 and pretty much stays in that area. I took the truck down the road for 2 miles and back and on my way back it climbs to 20-21 psi and has stayed there, shut it off fired it back up and still 20psi. I removed the spring airdog150 pump came with and put the 17psi spring in. Im wondering is spring in a bind or is my g…

  2. hi i have a 2000 dodge ram 3500 24v cummins. just recently all the dash lights and gauges power up on there own, like the ignition was turned on but the key was in the off position. i could tilt the steering wheel back and fourth this would make the powed turn off. i started the engine and it would not turn off until i tilted the steering wheel. the truck has higher miles so i replaced the ignition switch hoping that was the issue, but the issue came back tonight. also when you shut the passenger side door kinda hard it would make the dash and gauges power on. i figured i would run it by you and see what you thought. thanks in advance

Hey guys , First of all I’d like to say thanks to the community on here. I never knew this forum existed. I’ve only been on here a couple days and I’ve already had great progress troubleshooting some things that I could never figure out. I’m currently trying to figure out what turbo I have. So I can figure out if it’s most likely an exhaust leak or it’s too big and that’s why I have so much lag. Secondly my trans temp is usually always sitting at around 200F. I’ve heard opinions saying that you never want to be above 200. Is there any truth to that? This is at idle after a highway drive, truck can get to 40psi but has a hard time getting to 10 quick…

Just finished installing the Fass 165, tried to prime it but the pump doesn’t have power. I unplugged it from the Fass and tested it and I’m getting 0volts. The relay is getting 12V from one of the plugs. Has anyone had a problem with Fass wiring before?

Hey there, I have a 2000 Cummins that I've been building for about 7months. I put a new cab on it and dash. The dash is a 98. I've got everything hooked up but when I turn the key to start it, I'm not getting any dummy lights, check engine lights, or even an odometer. The backlights work and all the guages seem to twitch/reset. Anyone have any info on what could cause this? Dead/low batteries? Grounds? Thanks guys.

I finally got my pump yesterday. Old version left 4G on the right. Got it installed I'll report more after the 7 x 0.010 injectors get installed.

Transmission shifting issues after rebuild sent to Dynamic. Update. SNAFU still. Tried jumper wire. Ran a few days, no change. Put relay back in. Kept going with no first in morning after after 305 stoplights and Overdrive locking it self out in city traffic on warm days. Eventually started going into limp mode(third)regularly sometimes not going into first or OD at all. Replaced NSS and relay, did not help. Disconnected BD pressure lock cylinder to make sure it was not hanging up throttle cable/valve. I think it was dirty and not returning all the way. After doing so it ran perfect for two days. Then back in full limp mode. Drove to Sacramento to shop that did re…

  8. Hi, just purchased a 2002 Ram 2500 Quadcab 2WD 5.9L 24v. Starts very easy, Idles perfect. Drove fine around town in New Orleans, on the road home on interstate, the issues started. Got to 60 mph easy, but getting to 70-75 was a struggle, and slow climb. Any acceleration above that was nil and unresponsive. IF you floor it, no response but blue/white smoke out back. Consistent slight blue smoke, per wife following in my 94 ram. Once I got it home, driving around town, good peppy response 0 to 30 mph, after 30 I notice the sluggish, occasional surge, but usually lugging drive with similarity to a miss in a gas engine. Got on interstate, could'nt get above 55, missin…

So everytime i think I’ve got this thing figured out this crap happens. Truck is cutting off randomly. It will fire back up after it sits for 5-10 minutes and it might cut off again or might run fine. I just had the ECM rebuilt 150 miles ago but the cutting off was part of the issue. They told me the APPS circuit and the Lift Pump circuit was fried. Now i have all these trouble codes. Tell me what your thoughts are? Truck is an 01 HO 3500 6 Speed with an AirDog165. No tuners on it. P0327 turbo boat sensor circuit low P0122 Low APPS Circuit voltage input to low P0118 Engine Coolant Temp circuit high input P0113 Intake Air Temp Sensor…

  12. I have a 99 3500 4wd that I have put 2 pinion seals in within the last 2 months. It keeps eating the bottom half of the seal off not sure what's going on. The last time I put a seal in it I put a speedy sleeve in as well I'm not sure the issue any help would be great.

Replaced wheel bearing, seals, calipers and pads and thought while I'm there I'll replace pinion bearing and seal. It is froze on there, we pryed on it, hit shaft with dead blow hammer and we just put the seal in and and said run it. Any tips on getting it out short of stripping rear end?

A little while ago my truck started act funny. You would get on it and then when you would let of it would "fast lope" idle real rough and eventually clear up. Well yesterday I got on it, it started running rough then died and wouldn't start back. I sat in the middle of the road for about 10min trying to start it before I got mad and used the starter with the truck in gear to pull it out of the way. About 20' of that and it fired right up. Any suggestions on what it might be? Only happens after getting on it.

Posted in 2nd Generation Dodge 24 Valve Powertrain Hello all ! Recently the p0122 came on my 99 cummins, with severe driveability issues, when the throttle is pressed it revs up then dead peddles, revs up then dead peddles. I found Moparmans P0122 test and was working down the list, got to step #6 and I'm confused now if I need a ECMor an APPS. The step is as follows "6. Check Dark Blue/ White wire for continuity between terminal no. 5 on apps harness and terminal No. 31 on ECMharness connector . If continuity does not exsist, repair Dark Blue/White wire" if…

I store my truck from Nov to March and this year when I took it out I noticed that the fuel pressure was dropping more the normal. I have had 2 separate times that I was letting it idle while unloading it I noticed that the idle sounded different. The last time it happened I was going back to move it and there was no lift pump pressure. I shut it down and then bumped the starter to see if the pump would run and it did with 17 pounds at a idle (18 to a dead motor). I have also noticed that the fuel pressure drops almost 2 pounds more this year under hard acceleration. Being that the pump has been on there for at least 7 years I just bought a new one ( fass ddrp 02). Change…

Does anyone know of an app that lists the voltage outputs on pins from the obd2 port in near real time via a Bluetooth dongle? If not this would be a good one to have.

Hard to quantify making a post and didn't think about taking pic at the time. Saw several slivers stuck to magnet when changing diff fluid. Size was about diameter of sewing thread and .25 to .50 inch long. Probably 20-25 total. Almost 90,000 miles (total) and 30,000 since last fluid change five years ago. 3/4 ton and most of miles towing 8-9k trailer. Only difference this change from past is now have air bags. Normal or abnormal? If abnormal, what is next step?

  19. When I drove the 2001 Dodge (aka The Dragon) home for the first time shew blew billowing clouds of coal all the way from Kingman Arizona (the place of acquisition) to my home in Los Angeles. Hence the truck was named "The Dragon." There was a long list of items causing that voluminous smoke including: dirty fuel filter, tired injectors, busted intercooler boots, worn out legacy tuner (or not), cracked exhaust manifold, etc. With each measure taken the amount of smoke output was greatly reduced. After a lot of learning and a lot of fun adventures I finally won the battle! The last measure was changing the gearing in the final drive from 3.55 to 3.73…
