So I bought a used airdog off my buddy a couple month ago. It is the older version. Everything works on it but I’ve been noticing that it doesn’t keep pressure constant. I set it to 18psi at idle but if I really get on it it will go down to around 11psi on a really hot tune. Is this a sign of my motor getting weak? I’ve seen some write-ups that you can order a 4g motor from airdog and it will fit on my airdog. Is this drop in psi normal or is it getting weak? Or is their something I can do to keep it at a more constant psi all throughout my throttle position?

Im building my nv4500 and found a deal on a big input shaft because the bearing got lost, does it use a diffrent size bearing or the stock size. I know the retainer has a slightly larger opening for the larger shaft but dont know about the bearing

  3. So I get the low battery light otw home, barely make it home with my edge reading 9v. I pull the 2 pin plug on the back of the alternator to check to see if the computer is calling for the alternator to charge. On the hot wire I got 9v,the ground wire I get 40 ohms . Isn't 40 ohms to high for the ground? I figured it should read a lot lower, didn't know if that was why my alternator isn't charging or not.

I can't get fuel pressure to go above 11-12 till an hours worth of driving. I have all 1/2'' lines and tested everything else I can think of. Even tried two brand new AD 150's and bypassed the filter, still the same low pressure till warmed up for an hour or so. And the thing that's strange is you cannot find any problems with Raptor pumps on any google search beyond 2013. It's like they hired someone to keep all searching clean of problems before that year It makin me nuts I have not alternative except to turn up the regulator another 1/2 turn

  5. So it finally got cold enough to kick on the 3 cylinder high idle. After it runs for about 5 minutes I noticed that it intermittently switches to 6 cylinder high idle. I've had high idle for 3 years and this has never happened. When it does it it only does it for a second or less then it goes right back to 3 cylinder. Once it starts it does it 5-10 times per minute. I have searched on many forums with no findings of similar symptoms. Wondering if anyone has any idea on possible causes or has seen any threads with info on the topic.I'm going to attach a data log from quadzilla. It happened multiple times here 3cylhi.csv Here's a video, can slightly hear it Hi.mp4

I have a 2002 24v and i have recently intsalled a Quadzilla and now have serious problems. Truck ran fine before i installed it and now it I have 3 codes p0236 p1690 and p0216. Exhaust is always a constant white smoke when motor is warm or cold and have excessive blow by and oil. When its cold it has a dead pedal then when it gets warm after 30min of driving the boost on the iquad app is always reading 48 pounds of boost then it runs alot better but have to have the power level ag atleast set to 4 for no dead pedal. like i said before i installed the quad it never had any problems.

My fuel pressure kept going up and down. The adjustment "jam" nut (9/16) I can turn but the nut behind it (3/4") also moves. Can't get wrench on it because of bracket is blocking wrenching room. I ground down an old wrench, still not enough room for both wrenches. Problem is created because I turned the airdog 180 so I could use old fass bracket without drilling new/more holes. Question...if I hang pump on fence and suck fuel out of bucket to set pressure will pressure be the same when hooked up to vp44? Thought I would bend over vinyl hose to create back pressure. I don't want to keep taking pump off and on...thought hanging on fence …

  8. Question about fuel gelling: so yesterday it was -1 all last night and I went to go start my truck at around 2pm. Got in and it started right up like normal but my fuel psi gauge was at 15psi (normally idles at 18-20) then within 10 seconds it dropped right down to 0 and the truck would smoke when high idle kicked on. The truck still ran great and sounded great like it really didn’t have 0psi of fuel pressure. After about 10 minutes of idling the fowl pressure just randomly started to go up a psi every couple seconds until I hit 20 psi and then it ran good for the rest of the day. Went to the store and put some howes in so if it did gel up it won’t happen again. Sorry for…

So I recently acquired a Quad with V2. However I just finished installing an EGT probe for my Isspro gauge prior to getting the quad. I'd like to run pillar gauges since I have had them on the shelf. But also want the gauge to work with the quad. Can I install another probe either above the current one? Or install the second probe in the front half of the manifold?

Hello all, My '99 is throwing the P0222 code. It can be cleared, but recurs intermittently. The engine does not derate, seems to run normally. Possible causes? Solutions? Truck is mostly stock, but does have a Van Aaken timing box, and a Timbo APPS.

  12. Changing my manual mirrors to power, heated, and lighted. I know doors are pre-wired for the power/heated and I've already added the mirror control swtich and the temp control with heated button. My question is if anyone knows if there is lights-on power source inside the door. Looking to avoid running wires through the dash to the light switch.

I blew an oil seal out of my 62mm the other day, and rushed in a rebuild kit from Southeast Power Systems. Rebuilt the turbo today, and it's leaking worse than before! Question now becomes does anyone know where to source a genuine Borg Warner rebuild kit? Google has been of no help to me, as all I am finding is crappy aftermarket kits that I know will suck

So I was all set to give my girl a little more pep, and hopefully gain a few MPG's. My plan was to go with the rv275's but poking around here I saw a post from someone who got 60-75 hp injectors as an upgrade to a stock truck over the rv275's. My truck is bone stock, with an Air Dog 165 and new vp44 recently added. I seriously doubt I will ever put a tuner on the truck, so which injectors should I go with? She's got 330k on the clock and I'm afraid to do "too much" in fear of tearing something else up. Should I stick the original plan and get the rv275's or something a little larger?

I installed my "new" remanufactured ECM on my '99 CTD 4x4 this morning I had the issue of, Key on, Boot up delay. Delayed 'wait to start' light and lift pump. Ive had the problem for 4-5 years and it was getting worse, longer boot up delay So after the Install...It is working great so far. I ran a few errands and the ECM boots right up, WTS light comes on first immediately and I can immediately crank the starter and it fires up immediately. The truck actually feels alittle crisper responce too After quit a bit of research and alot of calling around, recommendations and good reviews from vendors and mechanic shops I went with …

So yesterday I drove my truck to walmart. Everything was normal. Came out of Walmart started up my truck and my airbag light came on and I’ve lost my radio, fan controls, turn signals (hazards still work), too (key on) cigarette plug. Also my truck is shifting really weird like it slipping know. My question is what all controls this stuff that I listed off? Trucks a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 drw 24v cummins. Thanks in advance also everything I mentioned turns on when I have the key in accessory but as soon as I start the truck they go out

I found a source for VP44 connectors, and pigtails. http://americadiesel.us/ $13.20 for the connector shell $2.20 for each pigtail (I ordered 10, to allow for a few mistakes) $57 shipping My total was $92. Even with International Priority FedEx fees, that's still cheaper than other sources. It's a genuine AMP 965734, new. Our stock connector has two holes blocked. This one has all nine holes open, so I'll have to plug two. It did not come with the wire-cover back-plate. I ordered 10 pigtails. I was expecting them to be all one color, but I was happy to see that they randomized the colors for me. They are…
