Pump has failed due to in tank pump. I'm in process of rebuilding a lot on this new to me truck. Back when I replaced all the old stock stuff on my old truck I went with the Bluechip pump and have had no problems at all for a good 10 years now. Just checking the opinions out there on who may have the best pump for the money or what are your thoughts. Thanks

Started her up after about a month of it not running this past July. Drove her across town maybe 10 minutes to the store. when i came back to the parking lot and turned the key i get a single click from the starter solenoid. I hastily buy two new batteries as it was a friday evening nearing closing time for the auto parts store. replaced the batteries and still got the single click at the starter, i decide to give the starter motor couple bangs to see if it helps but no luck. As it got dark out, i called a tow and got her home, when the tow pulled up to the house i rolled her off the flat bed in 2nd gear and she started right up. i didnt get around to working on the probl…

I screwed up and orderd the 17.5" 4 in 5 out. Oh well it's not straight through like the areo turbine si hopefully it reduced drone. Snagged a pick. I cut the 5" slip fit end off the aero to use as a joint to make fte longer. Along with a 5" 51" muffler that someday I'll find time to put on our kenworth. I'm expecting no huge reduction from the little fte will most likely later ad a muffler behind it. Something smaller than the 51" Donaldson type muffler. Reworking down pipe hanger to get exhaust off the frame so later I can fit a muffler.

Just browsing YouTube and came across some differential cover development videos from Banks. With the amount of damaged differentials I've rebuilt and replaced over the years that had fancy heatsink differential covers. I've long suspected that the aftermarket covers effected the oil flow within the housing which causes lubrication issues for the pinion bearings and wheel ends. Moral of the story for me is the after market aluminum heatsink differential covers are R.I.C.E. (Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements) and do nothing positive for performance so those who have them are no different than the Honda Civic boy that has the park bench spoiler on the trunk th…

Got the high idle switch installed and was wondering about using it in MPG mode with the XZT. I read that in MPG mode the high idle switch alters timing. So does the XZT when its in the 65 hp setting. Any problems using the 2 together?

I didnt torque it I didnt have a torque wrench at the time and was in a bind to get it going for work any help would be great.

I know this topic has been beat to death. Sorry! I just bought a 2001 4 x 4 five speed with the NV 4500. At this time there has been no failure. My thinking is open up the back of the transmission verify torque and weld the nut to get some more life before an ultimate rebuild. Maybe that would be a waste of time and effort? TIA

Just about to do the fuel transfer pump relay mod and also relocate to closer to the tank and 1/2" lines and straw, question is PO fitted this Fass pump https://www.dieselautopower.com/fass-direct-replacement-fuel-pump-drp02 is this good enough ? truck is 98.5 24v auto, trans is stock as far as I know, it has been rebuilt by PO late 2017 although looking at the rest of this guys work that may not mean much. He had used a canister pre filter and nothing else, luckily It hadn't done diddly miles and I got it, the guy wanted £60 for the original filter housing he had thrown under his bench yeah right, I fitted a Cat filter housing but this ****ant prefilter is still in th…

Hey folks, I hope all is well and everyone is making it through these unprecedented times. I posted a little while back about an unusually high load on my engine. I knew I was due for some new injectors as I’m currently at around 145k miles. I finally got to install the new RV275’s over the weekend. While I had the valve cover off I adjusted the valve lash as well. What a difference that made. The truck runs so much smoother now. A nice little boost in power feels good too. It’s seems to be less noisy. About all I can hear is the VP44 clattering away now. Link to post Anyway, on to my issue. As I stated above, I am having issues with a high…

So I got a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 24v. Put all new injector lines and vp44 on Saturday. Drove truck all day Sunday while shutting off/ restarting multiple times. Monday rolls around and drive the truck to work, go to leave work 12hrs later and truck won’t start. Have to bleed lines to get it to start. Tuesday morning have to do the same thing. Tuesday evening can’t get the truck to bleed and notice the gauges don’t work and LP won’t turn on by key. Come back Wednesday morning and truck fires right up and everything works. Get codes 1389, 1899, 1492, 1693. Go to leave work later that day and truck fires up and I let it idle for a couple minutes while I do stuff and get in to …

For about the last month or so, sometimes when I start my truck, it will idle at 1200-1300 RPM, and it just hangs there, never tones down. (no high idle switch on my truck) Other times it idles at 800-850. I've done the APPS reset a few times, it will help for a few days. Then it's back to high idle once and a while. Month ago I had auto zone scan my truck, no codes. Yesterday coming home from the other side of the state, coming down the mountain into Denver, truck started running funny, pedal was not responding. I would mash the throttle and RPM would jump up like the clutch was slipping, but truck was not increasing in speed. Few mi…

Bout time to reset valve lash and I haven't found anyone's previous post about what they recommend. I am setting the lash for my new stock motor for my 99 at .10 and .20, but is there any recommendations for durations of a motor with 100hp injectors and a quad with wiretap? Anything helps, thank you!
