Looking at some Bosch 0 432 193 635 injectors. They are in what appear to be Bosch boxes and sealed in yellow plastic bags. The numbers are stenciled (inked) on them. They are packed individually. Are the numbers supposed to be engraved or inked on these?. I am attaching 3 pictures.

Hi Guys. I have a ton of mechanical experience but very weak in electrical. I hate it. Bought a 1999 Cummins for my daughter that will be turning 16 in Sept ( she will be paying me back for the truck, lol ) and even with new batteries, if it sits for a week or more, the batteries drain to the point it will not start. I have tried to research this problem & have eliminated the seat belt modules are not the problem. What else could it be ? Any help would be much appreciated. On a side not, it also does what I think is a weird thing. Sometimes when you turn the key to the on position, the wait to start light doesn't come on & no matter how long…

Alright ladies and gentlemen just got done replacing my APPs or TPS sensor (whichever you go by) and I'm having WOT when touching the fuel pedal.... This is what I've done so far, when installing the new TPS I back probed the #3 pin (green wire) set the voltage to 0.55 at idle and 3.8 at WOT. After finishing under the hood I went inside the truck and calibrated the ECM by turning the key on (not starting) and slowly pressed the pedal to the floor and let the pedal back up slowly. Then hook up my scan tool up and made sure no codes were set, which there is none. Then I started the truck and as soon as I touch the pedal it goes to WOT. Double checked my calibrat…

Ok so I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. It just randomly started revving and trying to turn my rear wheels and Rolling coal when I was slowing down to stop. It happened when I got down to about 10 mph, and the revving caused my truck to shake very aggressively. I also noticed it was shifting to early (my truck was shifting so early, I was already in overdrive by about 48 mph?? Any solutions/ suggestions? Thank you for any help you can provide

My truck has just about 200k on it, I have owned it since 111k. I plan to tow a skid steer on a 14ft dump trailer estimated at 11k lb. combined. I live in Hawaii, we have some steep hills here and there. Recently I towed the trailer with a load of wood chips, and the truck revs way up before much forward movement trying to go uphill. I had considered trying to do some upgrades to it myself to see if I can rectify some of the issues on the cheap..some thoughts were: new solenoid kit; servo/accumulator piston; shift kit (i know, not recommended); trying to adjust pressure up on VB; even trying to change the TC. After thinking and reading on these for months I am leaning to…

Hello all I am back! First let me state that I triple checked all of my work. No codes are being thrown at the moment. Continuing....I just finished the ground wire mod and I am still getting high readings of .062 at idle and nearing .10 with throttle applied (using a Fluke 87-V). Unfortunately, I do not remember my initial readings as the truck has been sitting for a short while but I know they were similar to what I am seeing now. I know of the "second phase" I'd guess you call it with the W-T Mod....new charge wire from aux. battery to alternator (with a fusible link, fuse, circuit breaker, etc.) and adding an extra connection from main batte…

Hey guys, I had a problem come up on my 99 on Friday. I came out to start the truck after it sitting for maybe 4 days to go dirtbike riding and the truck started at first, I moved it to the spot I load my bike and then the truck wouldn't start when I went to leave. I watched some videos and did some reading and got the truck to start by unplugging and re plugging the connector right out of the fuse box with a single brown wire. No loose battery connections and just looking around I couldnt find any loose grounds anywhere. I took the truck and it was fine the rest of the day, started fine probably 5 times. Today I went out and it happened again. No crank, clicks every time…

I've been reading all the ecu/pcm/vp/sensor/alternator failures over the last few months on here and getting more and more paranoid by the day as over here in the uk no recovery is available for my 5th wheel and I doubt any recovery/breakdown co would touch the truck either. So my question is would a 01 ecm work with a flash on my 98.5 ? I have sent acs a message on this also. Also going to try and locate a spare pcm and maybe a new alternator and whatever else I can think of I've done the WT mod. And also Mikes alt protection

Hey folks searched on here but didn't find the answer I was looking for, most likely user error. About to install an auxiliary trans cooler with fan under the bed, mostly for slow 4x4 driving. I live in Nevada and it gets hot. I've got a Mishimoto replacement cooler up front. I drew three hunt tags here in Nevada and with 333K on the clock I want to help it out a bit. I wanted to double check that the return line on the transmission is the rear line as it attaches to the transmission, correct? #3 in this image. Thanks in advance, Adam

02 3500 nv5600 2wd quad cab. 233k. I've been as diligent as possible regarding preventative maintenance, but you know how it is, entropy is a ***** and things go wrong. Now getting ready to put down some serious miles - long distance cross country driving soon, multiple times this spring and summer from NJ to Florida towing a haulmark 20ft car trailer (approx 7,000 gvwr). Here is a list of the repairs i've done, as well as some pro-active maint in anticipation of major highway miles. Is there anything else I should do? Thinking I've got the major failure items covered.. Is there anything else that's know to fail on these 2nd gen…

So I bought a 2nd gen, had high miles on it and could tell had been sitting. Upon buying I started having troubles, after driving it home 6 hours away I started trying to get it back to 100%. Narrowed down the first job to being bad injection pump, so I bought a new one and replaced it. Seemed to have fixed the issue and was running good, the truck doesn’t get driven daily it’s my farm truck, I started driving it a lot in the last month and when driving the truck is fueling really weird. #1. It does have hard start after sitting over night. After that starts fine all day. #2. When driving and maintaining speed say 1700 rpm you hear the turbo and fee…

So to start here’s what I’ve done to try to fix it. Checked all grounds and connections, new batteries, new timbo apps. I don’t have any fuel pressure gauges so I don’t know if it’s a fuel thing. I am looking to get some today if I can. So the problem is once I get to about 43 it starts surging. It will stop as soon as I go back to 40 or under. The problem seemed to appear after I replaced my whole A/C system. And only when the Ac is on. But will keep happening even after the AC is turned back off. But if I never turn it on in the mornings, it doesn’t seem to do it. Although I never get too far about 15min before turning it on because of the heat here. It seems like when …

Hello, at the risk of being redundant on the forum, I drive a 98.5 24v with a 5 speed manual. About a year ago I started having a slight stutter at idle. It’s not hard, just enough to to feel and hear and it’s very erratic and only when the engine is at operating temp. At the time I was seeing some metal shavings in my fuel filter housing every time I would change it so I attributed it to the lift pump. Within the last month I changed my lift pump to a FASS 165, afterward my truck developed a hard start issue. Due to the fact my VP was original to the truck and I figured my old lift pump had warm enough to have low fuel pressure, I replaced it with a…

Hello all. I have a 99 dodge, the truck has a 2002 engine that has been installed, after the ‘53’ block died. The truck has a tone wheel mounted to the front of the balancer for the ckp sensor. The truck has the HO vp pump and the computer for the 2002 engine. the issue I’m having is a p1690 and p0338 codes. The only issues the truck seems to have is a miss or stumble at idle that seems to come and go, and high egts. I have recently replaced the balancer as it was coming apart, reset the air gap on the tone ring to the sensor and Cleared codes and they come right back. looking for recommendations on where to go next. tr…

Hi guys, I understand this topic has been beat to death but I have had the following issues with my 98 2500 24v. Over the last two years I have had random codes pop up with no performance problems (low voltage related to apps sensor) had them cleared 2x about a year apart. Did hours of research and the common thread seemed to be a failing apps sensor (no dead pedal up to this point) So i bought a new bell crank assy to have on hand in case. About a week ago it happened dead pedal, when I pulled to the side of the road it went away. So when I got home I replaced the bell crank/apps assy asap. Been driving it for a week without issues yesterday when I was deceler…
