Ladys and gentelmen boys and girls experts of all sizes I have a 1997 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel with power windows and fan that cut out a couple of days ago. Everything else electrical seems to work (although the airbag light comes off and on now) Anyway is there anyone that has the schematic for the wiring to this model. or has a good idea as to the solution. Is there a breaker or something that I am missing. All fuses and relays under the hood and on the driver side fuse panel are good. Blower relay is fine (under steering column) Any help would be appreciated. Its getting hot in here with the windows up

Going to change diff fluid this weekend. I'm thinking about getting on of those fancy diff covers. I don't mind the price but only if upgrade is worth it. Anybody know what normal temps are with a OEM diff cover compared to the aftermarket alum covers with "cooling" fins? My Dana 70 is usually towing a 8k to 9k trailer most of the time. Even with the fancy type I would still pull cover when changing fluid, just to get a visual of the insides. And I would still use "dino" oil. In your opinion is the fancy type are worth it?

While installing my Fass DDRP I found a 3 wire weatherpack connector with a 3 wire weatherpack sealed cap on it. What is it for? I figured it is for a manual truck, NNS and reverse lights. My truck is an automatic.

I've noticed that when I apply the brakes when coming to a stop that my steering wheel will oscillate slightly at slow speeds as I decelerate. Any ideas where I might start with something like this?

For over 8 years, the 97 has had no air conditioning. I just rebuild it entirely with all new parts, including lines. Yesterday, I think I got the charge correct and managed to get ~25-30* vent temps on high with recirculate. It was 97 yesterday and and I measured 75* on the floor after 30 minutes. All of this is at idle, though I did rig up a fan on the condenser to bring the highs down from 250-275. Currently, my pressures are 30-35 and 200-225. Used a parallel flow micro tube condenser and an evap that had most of the foam seal around it. I also replaced all the foam in the air box and replaced the blower motor. The new (not reman) compressor is a Dens…

I was working on the truck today and seen this in the vent by your feet. I am thinking it is the door for the defroster? I think this has been off since last spring because I remember hearing something rattle. I could never figure out what it was. I did not notice anything unusual, but I have it set to blow air out at my feet 95% of the time or I have the windows down.

Gen light came on a few days ago so I pulled my alternator and it tested bad. I replaced it with a cheap reman and it still wasn't charging. Today I notice that the 30A engine control fuse was blown so I replaced that and started the truck. Bingo! Everything was charging as it should. I took the truck for a victory lap around the neighborhood and the fuse blew again. Popped another fuse it to see if it was a fluke and it popped too. Recently I have installed HID headlights, but don't believe those are the problem because everything worked fine for a week or so... on the same day as the headlights, I also installed a new bumper. There were a couple of gr…

So pulled the 35's and aluminum wheels off of the truck (got a set of 2017 takeoffs with 300-400 miles), first trip on the freeway and the death wobble started. as I drive the truck daily put a track bar in it the next day. But the front end still feels sloppy, not necessarily in the steering wheel but I can feel every little bump in the floor under my clutch foot when it is resting on the floor. Overall the truck is definitely way better with proper sized tires that it was engineered for. Next, its raining again in seattle, I stop at the grocery store on my way home for my wife, every thing is fine. I get back in the truck to leave, the first time I gentl…

Lately my truck has been hard to steer at low speeds. I notice it happens more once the truck is at operating temperature. There is no issue with the brakes though. I have checked all ball joints and tie rod ends. They're good and tight. Fluid level is full in the reservoir. I do have some slack in steering box. Steering wheel slack is about 11 to 1 o'clock. I got under the truck and took a look around and found a leak between the vacuum pump and steering reservoir. Where should I start from here? I have heard that some slack in steering box is normal? I would assume my vacuum pump needs rebuilt. How can I diagnose a bad steering pump/reservoir? Are they rebuild a…

Last weekend while driving my truck I started noticing a weird noise coming from the front end of my truck while nearing a stop sign. Almost like a deep vibration type of noise. I haven't taken anything apart yet but it seems like there is still plenty of pad left:shrug:. It's still doing it and they feel kind of grabby now.Luke

Ok so if I am going to tear into the suspension on my 350k mile truck, I want to improve it as much as possible.. In my old OBS ford that mean at least doing an RSk, etc.... Is there anything I can do for this truck for tremendous improvement? It wouldn't bother me if it made it sit a little lower (modern height 4x4 dually trucks sit pretty low now) Thoughts?

I have a rather rambunctious dog, an Australian Shepherd. I worry about her kicking my rig into gear when I idle it for a short stop. What is it about a 3rd gen that requires your foot to be on the brake pedal in order to take the transmission out of park? Any ideas? I've got a low stall torque converter and the truck will go 10-12 mph at idle. Could be bad!!!
