  1. My seat belt has 3 wires going to it. What do I need to do to get the seat belt light to go out in the instrument cluster?

  2. I give up I don't know what else to do. I finished my 3 month project about 2 weeks ago... twins, injectors, cross overs, o ringed head, totally swapped the complete wiring harness ecm, pcm, all sensors and VP pump and NV5600 along with the cluster from a wrecked 02 to my 98.5, the problem is when I start it the tach works for 7 seconds then goes dead and I get the code for cam sensor problem, I've tried both sensors and both vp pumps, checked all connections, ran the cluster through the diagnostic test and still no joy. I even tried the cluster from the 98.5, everything on both trucks worked perfectly before I started this project. I think when the tach isn't working it i…

Here is the one issue I have since doing my gear swap. I also replaced my WIF drain on the filter canister before this started. Intermittently but frequently upon braking the pedal will get hard and my brakes will do just what they do When abs kicks in if you try to lock up your brakes on ice. What could have caused this?

[I've been coming to this forum for years. All my normal logins didn't seem to work, and neither did any attempts to reset passwords on any of the email addresses I use... So, created a new account. Or, maybe an account for the first time...] 2001 Ram. Over 400K miles. I just replaced the seals in my vacuum pump. Put it back together, and now it appears my power steering fluid is leaking. The leak seems to be coming from the side that faces the front of the truck (where it mounts to the vacuum pump). I didn't think power steering fluid came out of the drive shaft that fits into the vacuum pump? Thoughts?

I have the 2001 FSM but there are a few differences between my 1999 and what is listed in the book. I am trying to get my rotor off but I can't tell if the axle nut keeps this thing on or not. To get the rotor off, do I remove the axle nut? Looking at what I have that appears to be the answer, but I would rather not remove it if I don't have to.

So I have both the upper and lower ball joint removed, I did the lower first then the upper. Is there a specific order I need to install them? When I did them on my old hemi I seem to remember my mechanic buddy telling me to install the upper ball joint first and then the lower so the press won't get in the way of anything?

  10. I have the above mentioned truck. The ONLY guage that works is the tach. I sent the ECM to cardone to be R&R and they sent it back saying it was fine. I obviously have some sort of wiring issue but weve literaly been tracing wires and making sure theres grounds and 5 volt references and 12 volts....etc for a few months now. Any typical places where a wire might have broken? Any other ideas what might be wrong? Im also looking for a wiring diagram for the wires behind the guage cluster. Those 2 square plugs that the guage cluster plugs into.Any help would be fantastic

Decided to build a replacement center console for my 2000. It started when I could not find a suitable place to install my switch panel for the airbag inflation switch's and gauge. So I removed the center console and built a mock up out of cardboard and went from there. The cardboard mockup was 4 inches longer than the wooden one. I decided to attach the CB to the front of it. I ended up with a console 14" wide x 17" long x 15" on the back side(passenger side). It is 9" high on the drivers side and makes a nice arm rest. The panel is going to 16 gauge steel. I have to finalize the gauge layout and cut out the rough holes with the plasma cutter. I picked up some fabric tha…

  14. Where I'm heading with this is my 2000 Accord has a button to turn ac on and off also it has a button for fresh and recycled air, which is very nice. I have full control over it. So I'm wondering if anyone put a button or a switch at least for ac, so when you have it on defrost in winter then ac compressor doesn't run and not only that heat is not the greatest like we all know it just would make sense to not have ac on. No I know when there is moisture ac helps defrost in that case you can always turn it on but for the most part I'd be leaving it off. And not sure on recycled/fresh air door if it could be put on a switch. I don't see why not for ether just haven't l…

I've had the Toyo tyres on my truck now for about 2 years and within the last 3 months or so I noticed an out of balance wobble starting to get worse there was several speeds where it was worse and the tyres were wearing very odd like the front edge of all threads wearing off. When I had the tyres fitted the guy told me the rims or tyres were way out of balance and that he had to use a lot of weight to even get close and to be fair the truck was never 100% and had a slight wobble over 60mph that settled out about 65mph. It was getting worse so I decided to try beads Dyna beads to give them a name, called the company here in the UK that I presume imports t…

  16. I'm just curious if you guys have any issues with your speedometer when you compare it to GPS speed. I own my truck since 1999 and the speedometer was always off by about 5 miles when traveling at 70 it's actually 75. I've been looking into the Chrysler shop manual and this stuff doesn't give me the correct tire revolution per mile, WTF? Chrysler Shop Manual section 22. TIRES/WHEELS 22. BR/BE TIRES/WHEELS 22 - 9. SPECIFICATIONS TIRE SIZE SUPPLIER REVOLUTIONS PER MILE …
