Last week my vacuum pump went out. I swapped it by separating the ps pump and vac pump in the truck and just pulling the vac pump out (probably a mistake in hindsight). Once I got things back together I had vacuum but now no power brakes (hard pedal) or steering. I had a spare (unused reman) ps pump so I swapped that and went through the procedure for purging air from the system but I still have zero power brakes or steering. I also flushed the old fluid by routing the return lines into a bucket and noted lots of flow so I know the pump is pumping. If I do the purge procedure slowly and at idle only nothing special happens but some combination of raising the engine rp…

My drivers seat cushion is starting to crush on the outside edge. Having no running boards takes it toll. Does anyone know of a supplier that makes these.I haven't checked with Dodge yet. I thought I would see if someone else makes them as Dodge is not known for having reasonable prices.

Now I've gone to the exterior lighting. The left bulb is a switchback bulb for the front marker / turn signal. It's a white light on parking lamps but amber on the turn signal. Then the bulb on the right is a standard red tail light blub. Both sets are above normal lumens. Front amber https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/3157-switchback-led-bulb-dual-function-60-smd-led-tower-a-type-wedge-retrofit-car/1916/4478/ Rear red https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/3156-3157-ck-led-bulb-dual-function-27-smd-led-tower-wedge-retrofit/3557/7523/

When I turn my heat on it is just semi warm. I have searched the forum and checked everything. The Ac compressor kicks on and off correctly when the selector is turned. The air comes out of the appropriate vents when selected. The blend door works ( watched mopar video ) when the temp selector is turned. The big flapdoor over on the passenger side moves when the max AC is selected. The radiator was replaced and flushed 10,000 miles ago. New thermostat also. Temp gauge heats up to 190 and stays there no matter what I am doing. Both heater hoses going in from the engine side are the same temp and they are hot . I pulled the glove box and can see and feel the heater core and…

Dana 60 4x4...Moog problem solvers or oem Danas? The Danas are a little cheaper for one side, about $70 and Moogs are about $90. Any input as far as quality or longevity? Because this is lengthy and annoying job, I don't want to replace them again anytime soon. Thanks

The subject has been covered for years, but even on this site I’ve never seen a consensus reached regarding the feasibility of greasing our wheel bearings through the ABS sensor port. I read a lot the past few hours and I really don’t see there being a debate anymore. The argument has always been “you can’t grease a sealed unit”, well tell that to my ABS sensor hole. Our bearing housing is sealed on the outside ends, the inner bearings are not sealed and the abs tone ring is between the inner and outer bearing, so greasing the bearings through the ABS hole will get grease to the bearings. Some have mentioned possible ABS sensor issues from grease getting on the tone ring,…

Wondering if anyone has had door hinges replaced and if so on the quad cab did anything need to be done with the rear doors? Interestingly enough I am having issues on the passenger side (which rarely gets used). The sheet metal on the door is getting a little mangled around the latch from hitting the striker post (is that what it’s called?). Also if anyone had a body shop do this, can you give me an idea of cost?

Well that cheap China radio pissed me off enough that it found my knuckles in the middle of the display and killed it. First I only paid $29 bucks for that cheap radio. It did work good for a while. First problem is the FM tuner quit. Then I had my back up camera crushed. Then the finally straw is the software error and locked up so you can't turn it on or off. You have to have a paperclip to reboot the software. Pow! Light out and done I quit! Dug around on Amazon and websites. I did a dig on the best 10 bluetooth stereos. Kenwood BT572-U is in the top ten. I wanted something that could control Pandora, Spotify, XM possibly. Found it. This radio is AM/FM as w…

So I just moved to a new place that's located exactly 1.7 miles from my parking spot at work. (Good and bad I guess) I am thinking of buying a new vehicle, but that's not really what id like to do.. With winter coming around, is this short drive there and short drive back going to hurt my truck? I've always got my truck up to operating temperature before shutting off, but now I have no choice really. Should I buy another vehicle to drive on those short trips? My last question is this: how often should I drive the dodge if I do buy a new vehicle, the dodge will be the 2nd driver. I'd like to keep miles off of it, but a car payment is just not what I need right …

2001 24v cummins. I started having this problem a couple weeks ago. I've changed both speed sensors. I've pulled rear diff cover and checked tone ring. I had batteries checked and had one bad one so I changed them both. I've checked ac voltage from alternator. does anyone have any ideas on what to check? 20191011_162736_1.mp4

Well gang... I started down the long rocky trail of doing ball joints on my truck. Took me over 12 hours to do just the passenger side. As for getting every broke down for removal was a snap. Now the hub nut on the spindle is 1 11/16 nut and had to drive to town and get the right socket. ($14) as for getting the wheel bearings out snap to with a partner there to help out. The socket extension trick does work but not as documented. My buddy James used a longer extension and allow it to push off different areas of the axle tube.Other than that no problem. Take a 8# sledge hammer and nail the top of the knuckle near the upper ball joint and off it came. Now as for using the …

This started a couple of weeks ago and I cannot find any reference like it on this site; when I apply the brakes, I hear a pulsing sound only on the last few feet as I come to a stop, it sounds like the ABS system activating from a slipping wheel but I don't feel it on the brake pedal. I hear it only when the brakes are pressed, it feels almost like running over the rumble strips on a highway, the pulse frequency is related to the wheel speed. The ABS bulb passes the light test on start up so it is working, but the light does not come on to indicate a brake issue. Anyone have any ideas what this is?
