What do you recommend for LED's and headlight housings? Is there a light/housing combo that you would recommend? I need something that is very bright both short distance and long distance as I do a lot of traveling during the night hours.. Also, they need to perform great during snowy and rainy conditions. Links to products would be preferred. And no, I'm not a fan of light bars. Let's hear those setups/recommendations! (Please include any necessary wiring harnesses for setups)

Just finished installing new headlights from SAP. These are the ones from the link you supplied. First picture is before second is after. Headlights were good quality and came with bulbs. Even better my Brother box works with them.

Went to install new filter and water separator on my airdog today. I'm putting a bit of oil on the brand new donaldson 551315 filter right out of the plastic wrap and I notice the inside looks like this. Now I'm now mechanic or anything, I don't know much but to me that looks messed up. Looks like that rubber seal or what ever it is, is not installed right or slipped out or something.. I suppose it made like that for some reason and thats why I'm posting. Please let me know what you think, thank you.

Just like the title says, I have been paying special attention to my air filter setup, and have noticed that even a brand spanking new mopar air box will let dust into the motor. It just wont seal adequately. I will not use a k&n filter or the like, stock style paper is the best imho or a bhaf. I love the new air filter design for the 03-07 trucks, it has pleats that are about 6 inches tall!!! BEEFY!!! And it seems like the newer air box seals better. SO... Because I don't have a 3rd gen box to measure, does anybody know if the stock air intake tube will fit over it? I will figure out how to bolt it down to the inner fender. Also, anybody able to find any on ebay? I l…

I came across this and I think everyone should see it just in case some people are unaware of the effects of submerging their axle. I know a lot of people just worry about the engine sucking in water but the axle can get filled with mud/water as well. Not as catastrophic as the engine seizing but definitely something to be aware of if you happen to submerge the axle. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/337867-what-your-diff-oil-should-not-look-like.html

my owners manual calls for 75w/90 gear oil for the front and rear diff. is there any reason that you cannot use 80w 90 gear oil insted. the reason i ask is 80w 90 is plentiful. i can get it in gallon jugs, quart bottles whatever. 75w 90 only comes in quart bottle here and finding 5 in one store is almost impossible. just wondering what you guys think.

Anyone know the torque spec for tie rod ends? You can grab a hold of the tie rod with your hand and flop the thing back and forth....not the normal kind of play I'm used to seeing, but I guess I should replace it...def feel it at the steering wheel. Probly go ahead and do the center/drag link also. I hate to get the parts at autozone....but they are open and got it in stock.

I recently bought dap's sport conversion harness. It was all plug and play but didn't come with any directions. Are the sockets light specific with these harnesses? It looks like it just splits the signal of the oe harness into 2 sockets, but my outer lights which are the 9007s are working as the high beams instead of the inner 9004s. Which bulb should be on the inner and outer because they both fit. Has anyone installed this harness before? Also all 4 lights are on all the time whether in hi or lo beam.

Hoping someone will know what this plug is for ..... Have an '02 RCLB 5speed There is a plug below the ashtray in my truck. It has a double row of 8 sockets (16) and the sockets are small. It appears to be factory installed, but I just don't know. The wiring is lengthy, and the excess was coiled up behind the kick panel - drivers side. I've been de-installing the boom box sound system, and have a RAZ (optional-non Infinity) radio. It has the auxiliary input ... Any info on the plug would be much appreciated ....

After driving around my 1/2 ton for so long, the dodge brakes just don't compare. Has anyone tried a more aggressive pad? Just got my truck back from the shop, brake system is fine, system was flushed and bled. I ran EBC greenstuff when I first got the truck, they grabbed great unloaded, once hot and loaded with weight, those ceramics wouldn't hold. Now I have NAPA semi metallic, they work but I want more. Not worried about burning up my front rotors as long as my truck stops better. Exhaust brake is out of the question and my 16" rims and tires have plenty of life so 3rd gen brake upgrade is out too. Looking at performance frictions

I am in need of more tie down options than the four measly rear and floor tie downs in my short bed. I have a shell so that takes away the stake pockets. What options have you guys come up with? Hooks, rail systems, I am open to all ideas? Curious to see some setups.

I know a couple guys on here don't understand how these things work so one of the ones I got was crap so I took it apart to show you guys how they worked. A positive and negative energize that big coil and it produces a magnet that pulls that contact in so it contacts the other terminal, then springs back when you turn off power to the coil.

I suppose the 1/4 inch plug on the oil filter housing would work but is their one closer to the lower end other than the sender for the stock gauge?
