My truck is a 2001 QCLB Dodge 24V Cummins, 3.54, built 47RE, 75HP injectors, Edge Juice CTS tuner, 4" exhaust. I am in the process of installing a 64/71/14 High Tech turbo, just waiting for flex oil drain. My goal is to have great power from 50-90 MPH for passing very quickly on two lane highways. Would like to do this without smoking everyone out. From what I have read, F1 injectors are probably the way to go for low smoke. What size? Mach 2 is 105 HP, Mach 3 is 130 HP and Mach 4 is 150 HP. They are all 7 holes, don't know the hole sizes.

Being a 2nd gen owner and living in Northwest Ohio I have some rust on my truck. Most do around here. I have been reading, searching and reading some more about rust prevention. I have some rust on my '01 3500 that will get repaired/replaced with new metal but I am curious to see what everyone on the site here is doing to prevent this vehicle eating monster from getting their truck. I have read that an oil based undercoating that is applied annually seems to work pretty well. It would have to be included in your maintenance program in the fall for winter preparation but has been pretty effective. There is also a DIY variant that could be done at home with used motor…

So I am sorry, I know this isn’t quite the right section for post… but was closest I could find Looking for people who may have similar trucks to mine, and what they would be willing to part with them for. Mine was stolen from in front of my house, and after a few months and more phone calls than anyone would consider reasonable, the insurance co and I are talking numbers… first number was $10k and second was $12 We aren’t even close, however I am struggling to find comparable vehicles listed for sale …. it was a 99 Dodge Ram 2500- 24 valve- Automatic (just rebuilt) , Short bed extended cab, leather seats (…

I have hauled some heavy loads over the last hay season and I think my miss guidence from other people have swayed my beter judgement on EGT. Loaded or unloaded I dont exceed 1200*. I had 2 1600* mishaps unloded. I know that people will say that 1500* for a few seconds is ok and others say don't go over 1000 hauling heavy loads. What I would like to know is 3 figures..Unloaded sustained temp*Unloaded Max few second bursts*Sustained loaded temp*I wont hold you to the temp but I am curious on what people are running. This is all pre-turbo readings.

I just threw this catch can together with some 2" abs pipe and fittings from home depot for about $30. The hose was previously hanging down just past my front sway bar so it didn't get any oil on the engine or rad but it would still drip on my driveway and gunk up my steering linkage, front axle, underside of the engine and I had a habit of hitting my forehead on it whenever I would climb under the front of my truck...so I decided to make a canister to contain the oil but still let the gasses out. It has a chunk of steel wool in front of the outlet to act as a filter and a brass drain fitting on the bottom. Inlet and outlet are 3/4 ID hose and it is zip tied securely to m…

I’m sure this has been covered 100 times but is 18 ft/lbs the torque spec for the fittings (where the banjo bolts were) on a big line install? This would be on the kit between the vp44 and fuel filter housing. I’m guessing 18 ft/lbs on the adapter fittings (both on the vp44 and filter housing outlet) and hand tight on the 90* that screw onto them? Thanks!!

So if your running a junky edge comp or juice and want just a little more fun, this is what smoke out put you can expect with a 90hp 7x.0085 VCO injector from DAP. Clean burning and sensible injector for a well balanced rig. Pop pressure on this truck is 300bar. Truck setup: 99 model year, fass 95, edge juice (same program as comp), 4” exhaust, HX35W, garbage jasper trans, triple disc, 4.10 gear. this specific truck doesn’t have the pump tap installed due to a new VP44 installed so this is just stock, level 1/sub 1 and level 2/sub 1 for low smoke and smooth acceleration to keep traction under control. With levels 3-4-5-6 with the pump tap of cours…

Well my last order was to order some filter from Vulcan Performance. I got a BHAF and a few fuel filters for the AirDog. Eric being the nice guy asked me "How are my intercooler boots doing?" I told him there stock boots yet and no problems. He asked if I wanted to try a set of his VP "VulCan Performance" boots... I said why not...As for installing them. Not that is a good challenge... I used a good amount of WD40 and lubed them up to slide them over the fittings. So since they are thicker boots they don't flex like the old stockers. So you got to slide them over the far enough so you slide back over the mating fitting. Once again keep them lubed up so they slide for you.…

Looking for suggestions. Lots of info here, but hard to find a specific good parts combo for a relatively minor build. My daily driver 2wd 5spd would be a lot more fun with a bit more power. I'm thinking 100hp over stock. Just installed a Valair 13" clutch. Have a wastegate actuator regulator that just showed up in the mail. Truck has a 4" exhaust, gauges, Smarty S04, an air dog factory replacement lift pump (100 gph) mounted to the frame by the tank. Was given a K&N cold air intake but not yet installed. Any thoughts on the least expensive way to reach my power goal? 600 hp would be great, but my budget is very limited at the moment and it is my daily driver. 17.…

I have had the itch to trade up to a newer model but after talking to several owners of different brands, most say just keep what I have and sink a little money into the 2001. 2001 automatic, HY35, 4.10, 119,000 miles. Driven 10,000 miles a year and retirement coming in a couple of years. Here is my plan so shoot holes in it. BHAF, gated HX40 turbo, 4" exhaust, 75 HP DAP sticks, re-build transmission. I have a Edge Juice with attitude that I might add. Opinions?
