My first time posting in here. I don’t know if I’m posting in the correct section or not so, my apologies if I’m not. I need some enlightenment from the knowledge you guys have. I’m looking to get around 475-525 hp. I currently have a fass 165, quadzilla adrenaline with comp tunes, all necessary gauges and a S&B intake. The turbo I have my eye on is a Smeding SM-S362-68-14CM. What I’m wondering is what size injectors I’m gonna need to fuel that turbo and keep the EGTs reasonable. Truck is a 2000 24 Valve auto. Thanks. Thinking of this turbo because it’s fairly easy to get here in Canada

It's been my observation that since I put my lift pump on an ECM-triggered relay that the pump (none of three tried) doesn't do its normal startup routine. I hypothesize it's because the pulse-width-modulation signal from the ECM isn't reliably making my normal relay close. In a semi-unrelated internet search this popped up. It's a solid-state relay that fits the normal mechanical relay base. Hella part number: H41773001 http://hellahd.com/index.php/default/electrics/relays/mini-iso-relays/12v-spst/h41773001-931773987/ https://www.lingenfelter.com/PDFdownloads/HELLA41773001.pdf Thoughts? I expect most will be 'that's a solution to a problem that doesn't…

I just installed a FASS 150 today. After hooking the line to the Injection Pump I don't know where to connect my fuel pressure gauge. The gauge is a Westach Electric. Thanks

Driving my ‘02 24 valve after a fresh VP44 install and she feels a lot happier than before however when I give her the beans out of a stop she feels sluggish to get up and go through first and second then as soon as I get third she takes off like a rocket. Here is all the stuff I have done, does anyone have any ideas? Is it normal? a set of 150hp SAC injectors, thoroughbred diesel 2 year VP44, quadzilla adrenaline module Running power driven diesel tunes, built 47RE trans w/ a billet triple disc converter, 150gph fass, BD super B turbo (64.5mm comp 80mm turbine), AFE cold air intake, AFE exhaust manifold, and a 4” straight pipe, remote mount trans cooler under the bed, Yu…

Well after some trial and error, i looked around at some other forums and someone suggested unplugging the map but leave harness plugged into comp. I should have seen smoke and more power. Well it ran the same like i had not done anything. so i toggled through the scangauge, and it showed 22 psi boost, and if i toggled to map, showed 22 also, seems i may have a permanately defueled computer or something. It runs good and no codes but my comp feels like my EZ. Any suggestions welcome.

I heard a horrible noise when I depressed the brake pedal and then realized the steering and brake power assist were basically nonexistent. After reviewing the situation and knowing the power steering has been getting worse over time I ordered the Gould Vac pump kit and all new lines for p/s pump. I did not pull the trigger on a p/s pump yet because I was hoping to find something more robust or with higher assist compared to my current stock 170k unit. I thought about ordering a Borgeson but then heard some negative reviews regarding installation? Do you guys have any suggestions ? My truck is a daily street /play minimal tow use currently vehicle. I have never been pleas…

So I took the plunge and bought a new turbo after much debate... Got a 62/68/14 BW S300 SX-E gated. Beautiful work and amazing customer service from the guys at DAP! I have a question regarding fitment of the stock oil drain to an S300. Can I bend and flatten the metal tube to clear the wastegate actuator/compressor housing? I know they make flexible returns but I'm honestly nervous of screwing with the 16 year old bung on the block, as all the aftermarket kits drain to the block, not the factory rubber section our hard lines go to. Also, some how I got a HX40 DP for what I'm assuming is an HE351 flange

A neighbour of mine is parting out his truck. He has 75 hp dynamite injectors in it and an hx 40 turbo. Should I go for the turbo? I've heard of hybrid turbos, is that a hx 35/40 combo? This turbo stuff goes way over my head.

So I'm mid way guess doing this and can understand he group of wires that get spliced into a larger gauge wire, those all get cut and put into a ring terminal at the suggested vp44 ground. Then a ground wire from drivers side battery to same ground spot at vp44 with other wires. The rest of the wires just go back where they supposed to go... Now I have the alternator wire that goes straight over to the fuse block. If I'm reading it right I'm supposed to remove it from here then connect back to alternator and route to POS battery on passenger side??? What am I doing with the blank location at the fuse block? Las…

As the title states, I'm not sure what either one of these is. I've tried Iooking them up on here, and on Google, but no dice. I come from a gasser background, so idk heads or tails with my truck. All new to me. If anyone can explain any of this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

So went this week to a local Drag strip for "Amuetaur night" with a few other diesel driving friend's. Took my old Dually in my sig's. Before we got lined up they had everyone open there hood's and show what you've had done and all looked over all the truck's, car's, suv's that were there. I got lined up with a 2007-08 Ford Expedition 5.4 liter, 2wd, auto, all stock, 4 bald tire's, 4 different color paint different on each door. I drive a 4x4 modle expedition every sunday at my second job so i know exaclty what they can and can't do The one i drive has no power to pull even a little trailer we use, gets 7 mpg, it's a horror trying to get up to merge speed on the interstat…

Would new injectors quiet down my rig? When I run 2 cycle oil at the specified ration it's a little quieter. But still have a clicking sound almost like a lifter sound on a gas motor with low oil. Lol. Or like a cracked exhaust manifold sound. No rough idle though. So I don't believe that an injector is inoperative. Just wondering what to expect with new injectors. Almost 180k miles now. Will they give me better fuel economy? My primary objective besides reliability.

New to this forum, seems like a knowledgeable group of guys (shout out to y'all) However I'm having issues with my 2001 5 speed. She has a quadzilla adrenaline tuner, scheid diesel 100hp injectors, and an edge boost elbow. After installing the injectors she has a slight white haze coming from both the exhaust and the engine compartment. Both are very light. The exhaust gets denser when accelerating, and sometimes turns black. It seems to smell normal (not sweet like coolant, or like burnt oil). What could cause these symptoms if of concern at all? It also is is jerky/studdery at around 1200 rpm, but smoothes out at higher rpm, or harder throttle input. …

I add a can of Wix coolant supplement when I change coolant. But I've been told I should monitor the coolant ph level with test strips. Is this something that you guys do? Thing that makes me concerned is the bottom disc in my high dollar cummins thermostat fell off and was just sitting in the hole below the thermostat. Corrosion cause this failure? Was only in for a year or so.
