  1. My old & well used... 40+ years old... drill motor needs service or maybe just replacing. When I run it, the screws that mount the frame front body to the plastic handle get HOT (temperature, not shocking)... so after a few minutes I can't hold it. It's just a corded 3/8 drill forward only. With my disability on my left side... I can't grip a keyless chuck to tighten it. So where can I buy a drill with a chuck key? The only ones I see are high priced units & I just want a basic 3/8 drill.

Being my birthday is later in October and typically road conditions don't allow for much. MoparMom got me something I needed for the shop... I've now got a nice toolbox for my ever expanding tool collection. Just bought more tools while I was out too. I've now got sockets from 1" to 2" now. Now I can take my 2 old boxes and put everything in on box. Yea!!! Thank you MoparMom! Love & Kisses to you!

I bought an old Graco 395 pro series airless sprayer. I does work well when I tested with water but taking the filters out and intake screen off I noticed someone didn't clean the unit very well and has cured paint in the intake tube. Rest of it has diluted paint cured inside like it was rinsed but not long enough. Anyhow I got all the filters cleaned but wonder what else I can do for it. If anyone knows, I want to use it for oil treatments to maintain my log house. Thanks anyone.

Anyone know how to diagnose the fuel gauge/sending unit on one of these? It's electric and I don't know if it's the gauge or the sending unit. Thanks.

Wife and I are looking to book some time a in-laws time share. Two locations available. Across from Spokane and sun valley. Both of which are like 4+ hours from Michaels. Our goal is to explore potential home site that's off the grid. We prefer wooded land rather than all pasture. We desire 10+ acres that has good access to firewood. Cheap price of course. Any suggestions as to where to look?

  13. We could make it on our current revenue stream while living off grid, but having a couple grand coming in a month would make it a lot easier. You guys have any ideas on ways to make money from home with Internet access? We could be a couple hours from a larger city. But post offices are fairly close to most areas. Portable sawmill, non emergency medical transportation, run a Mopar website? Lol. I'm not a techie.

So, what are some of your favorite tips n tricks you've found over the years? Things that help make your life just a little bit easier. I'll add more as I think of them. But to start it off. When you have a chunk of plastic tubing/fitting that broke off at the threads, and you need to get it back out. Use a sickle blade, it works stinking slick.

My truck has 576k miles and 20 years on it, and may (or may not) be on its way out. There is no vehicle that I lust after. I'm out of touch with the automotive world, have been satisfied with my Cummins, and haven't kept up with what is available. My brother tells me, "Why look for a used car? You've already got a used car" - but new frightens me, the first scratch, the first windshield crack, and so forth. Not to mention depreciation; used to be, you bought a new car and the value dropped by half once you had the title in your name and drove it around the block. Don't know if that is still true? He as a Nissan electric car and hates it - great acceleration, lou…

I'm interested in cost and limitations of an off grid power system. I saw one property which had solar cells on the top of an old forest service lookout tower. Pretty cool!

I can't believe it is feeling so cold this morning on Aug 16th. I shut the windows and lit a small fire. Hope fall doesn't arrive early this year. Anyone know what to do with a small amount of coal? I found about 3 buckets full. Never seen it up close before but knew what it was. I put a small chunk in the stove to see what it does. So far it doesn't lite real easy.

Pulled my truck tonight at the county fair, there were a total of 5 trucks in the workstock/2.5 class I pulled in. I was the only one that drove my truck in. At least 3 if not all 4 of the other truck were 2.5 trucks.

Talk about getting 4 cords of firewood in under 3 hours. I delivered 2 cords to a good friend down the road and bought 2 cords for myself. So I've got a great guy in New Meadows named Mike Dezey. He has his own logging business. So when there is a damaged log than isn't going to accepted by the mill he cuts the damaged chunk out and hauls this stuff home. Then turns around and sell red fir for $100 a cord or $200 for my trailer load. Spurce is $80 a cord. But with Stage II fire restriction this is a awesome option but even his pile is running out.
