. I've never had to deal with it before but we are having -0 weather here right now and I have a tractor that is gelled and snow to plow. I was wondering what your procedure is to thaw one out. I've read PS 911 helps but not sure how to do it. Thanks Dave

2002 Bombadier Quest 650. Bought used. Probably some blow-by. It's touchy. Set throttle in warm weather & it stalls often in cold. Set throttle in cold weather & it runs too fast to shift when running. Use is mainly plowing snow. (Pretty rough duty since the snow is higher than the blade.) Occasionally dragging firewood out. Note: it's only a single cylinder... plug has to be "good". Problem is... had a new standard spark plug NGK DCPR8e start of the winter. The one that came out was sooted black. Just had to put in a spare today. Turned over but wouldn't start. Started right up with new plug. The plug that came out was "clean". Only have one …

I spent the weekend with my oldest son and other extended family members ice fishing in central Utah. Despite the abnormally warm weather, we were able to get out on the ice. Saturday, the temps were in the low 60's, certainly odd sitting on the ice in those temps. The fishing was as great as we had ever experienced with each of us catching around 70 trout for the weekend. The winner was my 13 year-old nephew and his 25" Laker. It was his biggest fish and he couldn't have been happier. Here is a picture of my boy and a rainbow that he caught yesterday morning. The wind was keeping the temperatures a little cooler that Saturday. Here is my nephew's Lake Tro…

from an email: He almost didn't see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her ? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm ? By …

I'd like to start a thread for the discussion of Motor Oil aka Engine Oil any other threads on the subject could be added to this area , possibly with a addition on Oil filters . As a retired oil man I still have access to much information and still enjoy reading and discussing the subject with others. Thoughts ? Comments ?

How to wash a cat 1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl... 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. 3. In one smooth movement put the cat in the toilet and dose the lid. You may need to stand on the lid. 4. At this point the cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this! 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a ‘Power-Wash’ and ‘Rinse’. 8. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door. 7. Stand well back, beh…

There was a member I made contact with that lived in Idaho and did masonry work. I can't remember the name of the person. I've got a retaining wall that needs to be rebuild. The last gentleman that built it was a great guy but getting up in age and didn't anchor the wall properly so now its leaning.
