Personally I think you'll be fine just keep your RPMs up

i certainly dont want a meltdown either lol. I would almost order a set of gauges but im waiting to get a qaud until they come out with theyre new monitor...

I towed with mine for 4 years with no gauges, completely stock. Then 7 years later my Banks tuner crapped out and I towed for 3 years after that with nothing but a fuel pressure gauge. This with RV 275s. No issues what so ever. Like @Dieselfuture says keep your rpm up and dont lug the engine you should be fine.

im prob gonna shoot for it. What do most people see for EGTs with 75s towing?

The EGT question will be all over the board. With your setup you’ll be fine temp wise just don’t lug it. Keep it around or above 2k on climbs and it’ll keep temps down.

Don't drive like a dingus and you will be fine.  The engine is tough.

Thanks fellas my worries have subsided. I really need gauges but like I said I’m waiting for Qauds new setup...

And just how does a dingus drive? Are they a member of the dumb *** clan?

Just be aware. If coolant temperature starts to rise back off and slow down. Typically coolant will start to rise if the EGT's are held above 1,100*F for long periods. I know for a fact a stock ISB engine can and will run past 1,400*F just towing at highway speeds. I learned this lesson on my first trailer towing job hauling a friends Chevy pickup back from Boise, ID over Horsebend grade. Just barely install my DiPricol Pyrometer and still no injectors or tuners yet. The EGT's could rise to 1,400*F easily towing in top gear at 60 MPH which is posted speed limit. But I had the 3.55 gears...

5th Gear (NV5600) is direct 1:1 ratio this is the gear you want to be in towing over grades if you want to play it safe.

Like others have said, downshift and drive it.

I went a ahead and order a Isspro Pyrometer to ease my mind. Got a mount for the steering column. I’m kicking myself for not buying all the gauges lol.

I ordered the EV2 pyro any reason I can’t get an EV1 boost gauge?

No reason why you cant. They are independent from one another.

Might just go ahead and get a boost gauge. Unfortunatly this means another delay in buying a qaudzilla but oh well...

Dont feel bad, my head gasket replacement is taking my Quad money. I wish it was just a gauge taking mine.

No reason, other than they won't match.

Want me to load you my Ultra Gauge OBDII reader for the trip? It should read boost, and it's just sitting on the shelf right now.

Well The pyro will be mounted on steering column and the boost either on the a pillar or below the dash. I didnt notice the difference between the two though. I will check out some images. I may be interested. Thats very kind of you to offer.

:broke: Between the head gasket and property taxes coming due. I'm not going to be able to replace my injectors. Then Christmas coming I might not see injectors for quite a while. :duh: MPG is sliding backward some. :spend:

I wonder if it can read our goofy MAP sensor correctly? Even the Quadzilla is close but not absolute on the mark.

DON'T get me started on property taxes. (read property theft)

I have the ISSPRO egt, boost, and fuel pressure gauge pod stack on the A pillar and love them.  VERY helpful with keeping an eye on what is going on under the hood.
