No. Why ? because all these diesels need is clean fuel and oil. I dont know how much that stuff costs but the money could go to better places. There is a reason there is a million mile club. These cummins engines are the best by far.

No. Because it doesn't do anything other than raise cetane levels and reduce the BTU's.It doesn't clean injectors and it doesn't improve fuel mileage so there is no use in using a product that is going to decrease performance and not clean injectors. The other problem is it does contains alcohol not good for the injection pumps and seals.

I am sticking with 2 stroke and nothing else unless someone can show me something better. i just changed my oe injectors after 235k miles and all they had on them was a little carbon build up.

NO because Mike SAID SO !!!done.

Don't give me that much credit... :lmao2::wow:

Well it also gives me someone to blame :) But more besides - just couldnt thinkn of anything more clever than that to say - and as I am a post ***** - thats what I had :):lmao:

NO.. it has alcohol which will emulsify water to the point of not being able to be filtered out and do damage. It works great on gassers, but no-no on diesel.

Yea ive used it on gasoline small engines but wouldnt use it in a diesel truck-Jordan-

NO. There was a thread on using Seafoam (maybe at CF?) and the posts all pretty much said the same thing. It is a no no for disels. That was enough for me!

I have heard a few folks on the CF fill their filter housing up with this crap when they change the fuel filter.:wow::cookoo:

I tried a can as suggest by one of our vendors during my injector problems. Well I will say it does a wonderful job of masking the actual problem. The misfire came back as soon as the seafoam was consumed. As for cleaning the injectors never happened. As for reomving the injectors and soaking them in straight solvent... Never changed a thing... You literially have to scrub each and every piece of the injector to clean it. I will say it again...

"There is no cure in a can!"

How about a bottle?:lmao2:

ouch, ouch, ouch, ill stop, ill stop.:tease: catch me if you can.

--- Update to the previous post...

i dont know about all of yall, but you gotta love this place.

I have tried it a few times. I have no idea what it did. Truck still runs.

"There is no cure in a can!"

If you wait until a symptom to arise then no a can, bottle, etc won't cure it.. at least not in one tank. When I got my truck it had a rough idle every now and then, usually after a long run the previous time the engine was running. Dealership duplicated it once, but never diagnosed it. I added "2um" filtration, and continued on my normal Amsoil Diesel Concentrate regime and haven't had the issue in 40K miles, but it took 20K miles for it to go completely away. So I think a regular injector cleaner will help keep it clean and reduce any deposits that may form, but it wont chip off a piece of nastiness overnight.

I agree I live in Minnesota where have $hit bio-diesel and I use FPPF bio-fuel power, one small $10 can treats 250gals and it gets rid of the water on a 1 to 1 ratio. Like AH64ID said keep on top of it not wait untile you have a problem:thumbup2:
