  1. There was a guy on tyhe internet here that managed to build a communication cord for the OBDII port ans was able to hook up to a laptop using some sort of software he was able to look at and edit the ECM directly like EFI Live like Chevy got... He had a web site up and I manage to capture few tidbits of information before he closed down his web site and this one graph is the only one that I capture before the site disappeared... (Sorry I don't have anymore!)
  2. Then if thats so have both front tires check for balance and true... Then check the wheel bearings as well...
  3. Well... I know mine is caused from fuel contamination... I had #6 injection line dribble down on the clutch and cause to slip now and then which in turn cause a hot spot... Which was shortly after I installed the clutch so my now is jerky or grab at launch now... I've gotten use to it... Same since I'm not going to pull the trans down to re-surface the flywheel and pressure plate to fix it...
  4. Suppose to tee into the HVAC vacuum line going into the dash...
  5. Hot spots in the flywheel / Pressure plate? Oil or Fuel contaminated friction plate? (Typically got issues with slippage)
  6. Actually isn't it 12 bolts the hold the exhaust manifold on? Or are you talking about the Intake?
  7. Shoot... a Turbo will last a very long time if you take care of it... I've got a 170K miles on mine... I'm sure there is other people that will chime in with more miles.. As for the VP44 if you going to tap it I would opt for the stealth plate...
  8. The box under the cowling is a vacuum reservoir for the HVAC box functions.
  9. U-joints? Bad shock(s) would produce a bouncy ride like a old Caddy....
  10. Good to hear your still staying mobile Russ! I wonder if they make a 1 cylinder Cummins engine to power that scooter... It would have to have a stack...
  11. You can rate the thread at the top of the page...
  12. I'll get mine up in the morning... (Upload problems)
  13. File was approved for download... Thanks for the manual...
  14. Yeah the multi-function switch tends to fail so it best to replace that soon... Really scary to loose your headlights on a windy road... Yeah like W&F said buy new it not worth messing with used junk...
  15. :banghead: My Bad... I thought Napa change that system but I guess not... Sorry about that...
  16. Ummm... Vacuum maybe? The early 2nd Gens have vacuum control cruise...
  17. How about this... http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Results.aspx?Ntt=r134a%20manifold%20gauges&Ntk=Keyword&Nty=1&N=0
  18. You might want to check around again... I remember seeing a news article saying it legal to carry conseal weapons in all 50 states now... I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure I remember seeing article about...
  19. Now that's getting cold...
  20. Personally if I'm empty and traveling dirt roads is fine for AT tires. But If I'm loaded or plan on working long periods offroad (like firewood season) I normally switch to my Cooper STT to aid in traction.
  21. If it was me... I would take a DVM and check wire for wire for ground or short problems... And...
  22. No... The oil will always settle to thel owest point in the system and stay regardless of the vacuum. So you would have open the system and blow out the evaporator, condenser, and drain the compressor. Might remove the drier can flip it upside down and blow it out... Then put a vacuum on the system and recharger with 6 ozs of oil and then your 3 cans of freon.
  23. Actually no there not... There is no low pressure shutdown on these as far as I know. I got a neighbor that ruined a 3rd Gen by getting stuck in a ditch with the nose down really steep and the oil pump was dry so the alarms and the light came on for the oil pressure then it was too late... Ate the rigs on 3 cylinders... End up selling the truck...
