  1. P0606 code is an ECM failure. Typically stems from the alternator AC noise and poor wiring modifications and noise filters added to band-aid AC noise issues and torque converter issues.
  2. Leveling kit change the caster angle of the axle. Be it small change it does change geometry and longevity of the front axle parts.
  3. Difference in of ECM software. Like my 2002 does not trip the P1291 code like your truck. It could be difference in California software too. Like my truck is federal software.
  4. Yeah I would say 600 to 700 is normal for average stock tuned truck.
  5. Boost leaks? Turbo damage? Crushed timing key? Excessive drag?
  6. Looks like it was lacking grease... One thing I like about greaseable u-joints, you can flush the debris out and fresh grease in.
  7. My last fuel logs. A year later and I've got nearly 70k miles on my injectors. So I'm thinking of sending in my stock injectors which are junk and have a set of 7 x 0.010 SAC injectors popped at 330 bar. @Me78569 suggestion... So I'm basically choosing a fuel injector to fit my turbo which is backwards ot the OP's post here.
  8. Tuner before water injection. The problem is the Cummins ECM is rather retarded in timing for smog purpose. With a tuner, you'll have better fuel, timing, and boost management. Water injection... Some say it will cool the EGT's some but most of us here don't even use water injection.
  9. After doing the trip down to Parma, ID with my RV on Tuesday my +75HP (7 x 0.0085) DAP Injectors, HX35/40 Turbo and the Quadzilla (with my custom tune) I could pull a 6% grade with cruise set for 55 MPH and barely reach 1,100*F. I just did another edit to my Quadzilla tune and managed to REDUCE my EGT's even more. At 60 MPH cruise set, I hover at about 500-550*F on a flat highway. Now this being said RUG (Regular Unleaded Gasoline) is very low in BTU's and very high in cetane. Your mixture of fuels is having an effect like timing most likely. More you lean towards the oil side the more the BTU's go up and the cetane goes down which is a good thing. I don't see any kind of tuner in your signature so I'm wondering if you did jump into a Quadzilla if you would be able to tune out some of the EGT heat.
  10. Little secret. The reason I won't do the oversized tires because of that what destroyed my 1972 Dodge Power Wagon and forced me to trade it in and buy the 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. I kept lifting and installing larger and more aggressive tires it kept breaking suspension, steering and driving parts. It got to the point I couldn't get parts and it was down to buying other axles and retrofitting after several (I mean several trips to wrecking yards) I gave up and bought the 2002 Dodge and used the 1972 Dodge Power Wagon as a trade in. I swore that I'd never make that mistake again attempting to build a "Cool Looking Ride". So far I've beat you all for longevity for suspension, steering, and brakes. Hands down I've got the winning build. Very old photos from a 0.3 MP pen camera long time ago... Maybe my misfortune was a good thing because now I won't exist on the Internet if I still had my old 1972 Dodge Power Wagon yet...
  11. I gave up attempting to make a wanna-be offroad truck and leaving it stock so it can still go off-road or off-pavement without breaking something every time. Here shortly this spring I've got to get out and start hauling firewood for the season. I'll be back to my off road use again and still be racking up miles. I don't see any pavement here...
  12. A better method of displaying my logs. I've added a row for trailer towing. The first RV listed is a 30 mile round trip to town to fill the propane tanks and the water tank was empty. Roughly 7,500-pound trailer. The second was a 140 mile trip from home to Parma, ID. I filled up in Payette, ID and then continued on. The next fill will be also labeled towing being I still was hitched. There are roughly 15 gallons of water on board. My biggest battle is I might start the morning with the calm weather then end up returning home with high winds and thunderstorms. Just when I thought I was going to record an awesome trip it's blown away by high winds. Another note my current tune works awesome on towing. I've not updated the download of it yet. Level 3 (CanBus only) cruise set for 55 MPH on 6% grade will tip barely 1,000*F EGT's. You can stand on the throttle and it will barely reach 1,200*F never goes past. No back down used on EGT's.
  13. Can you post a photo of what you are talking about?
  14. I wish I could but I've just don't have the extra cash for this... I'm looking towards refreshing injectors being I'm putting down so much mileage.
  15. Might still talk to @Dynamic about the things that are needed for a good transmission then compare notes between both people. Then you get the best of both worlds.
  16. Absolutely. It should seat with just hand pressure.
  17. I should do a hitched up photo when I get to Parma, ID. Got my Jayco in tow today.
  18. I just unhook the power steering pump leave it hooked up to the hoses. Remove the vacuum pump. There is an article on the vacuum pump rebuild.
  19. Lets put it this way just highway travel I've got to wash the salt of the inside of my hood. Then the salt goes all the way up under the bed skin. Anything hangs down there is going to get a good coating of salt and mud. Mud is the capture device that holds the salt to the metal longer so metals rot faster. The biggest problem with where yours is at the heat of the transmission cooler will attempt to dry the mud out. This could plug up rather quickly on spring days and overheat the transmission. I remember a few people attempting to mount under the truck with poor results and require more frequent cleaning of cooler.
  20. We have kits in stock yet.
  21. Ill agree a simple leak can blow a long ways. I agree with @dripley it can be blown every where.. Ugh...
  22. I think we all agree to a possible boost right gang?
  23. He needs to talk to @Dynamic about his transmission needs being his the site transmission guy.
  24. Could be like my leak. Done the front seal and gear cover. Still see oil on the driver corner of the pan. My leak is the gear case to block gasket. I plan sometime to pull the front cover and tight the gear case bolts. Then redo the cover.
