  1. I previously used Fleetguard on the AirDog now I just ordered 4 Donaldson filters from DAP.
  2. One of the few reasons I don't deal with T Bred. This isn't the first time I've heard this happening.
  3. Could you post up the torque values for these bolts for people?
  4. Now driving on this tune for the last few days I'm very pleased. Cruise engine load is reduced at least 10%, EGT can get really low at times dipping into the 400°F range. It very shock to see timing touching 24° while in 4th gear at 55 MPH winding through the canyon. Now the Quadzilla instant MPG floating 27 to as high as 40 with the roll of the highway. @Me78569 I know you mention about the pump might of been a freak of nature but I started thinking about the basic functions of the VP44 pump and realized that fuel volume is based on plunger and cam ring (lobe height). Timing is based the cam ring position and shaft key. What if there is range of timing that is considered OK? What if my current pump was more on the retarded side? Fuel wise I can pump more than my turbo can handle. So this comes back to timing. So spent few day measuring max advance of my VP44 duri,g normal road condition. Now adding 1, 2, or 3 degrees and what the results. Its true with advanced timing... EGTs will fall, boost will drop, engine load will drop, and coolant temperature will rise some.
  5. There is a design reason why Dodge created two different springs also have to look at the front axle weight. Now there is much more to the geometry of the front axle. I'd say go back to factor springs and get some quality shocks and be done.
  6. That's something I'm weird about. When it comes to flex plates, flywheel, pressure plates, and torque converters I grab the torque wrench torque everything to spec also go around a second time checking I didn't miss anything. Man I really do hate dropping a transmission a second time because I missed a bolt or didn't torque it enough.
  7. 343k mile factory OEM pump still going. When it comes time ill go with a NAPA power steering pump. Biggest thing is making sure the system is clean and flushed out before hooking up the return lines.
  8. I moved the OBDLink LX to my 1996 Dodge being the Quadzilla does most of those functions. Yes, it will allow TPS reading.
  9. No gains without a boost fooler. After 19 psi it will start to defuel by 25 psi it will set p0234 code. Best to get a Quadzilla.
  10. Well I did similar. Rowed 1st, 2nd, jumped to 5th... Chug, chug, etc. Hauling another Dodge home to it owner. Delivered... Swapped trucks on the trailer and got free ride home.
  11. Trust me you heart falls on the truck floor when you know the transmission just failed.
  12. Looks like someone has too much traction. Spider gears exploded. One of my many reasons for the 235s.
  13. So like my current 7 x 0.0085 DAP set them for 305 bar I'm sure there down in the 29x range for sure. I'm planning on having my old stock bodies fitted with 7 x 0.010 popped at 330 bar. Then keep my current forbackups they are still good but want to go up in pop.
  14. After some time goes by and few heat cycles the spring relaxes a bit and pop pressure falls a bit.
  15. Part that kind sucks in short time they will settle to a lower pop pressure.
  16. I've given up, on the whole, trying to keep factory or Cummins only parts typically this turns out to be the most expensive solution and doesn't promise that it will give the same lifespan as the replacement. Kind of like @Me78569 doing Spicer ball joint to resolve a ball joint issue and they didn't last. Kind of like most chase the brand name Moog ball joints and don't last. I just picked up the cheapest ball joints AC Delco and still going. Chasing brand names for quality doesn't mean you'll get it.
  17. For information sake... Stock pop pressure is 310 bar (4,500 PSI). Minimum is 293 bar (4,250 PSI) and the maximum is 327 bar (4,750 PSI).
  18. Whatever was cheapest at the time...
  19. If you let off the throttle to quickly you can introduce air back into the injectors lines and airlock the system. Typically occurs with modified engines with high boost pressure abilities. I would have the injectors check for pop pressure and see if any are low. 310 bar (4500 PSI) is stock value. 293 bar (4250 PSI) is the lower limit then 327 bar (4750 PSI) is the upper limit of stock.
  20. Napa compressor here, RA drier and orifice tube. Napa evaporator. Then RA condenser.
  21. Come on AH64ID air is a different topic also the head design is way different too. (I'm going to drop this topic) So back to the oil... Like I said I really doubt the oil is going to be way different measure if the probe tip isn't exactly in the flow of the gallery. What is the most you going o be back maybe 1/4"? Seriously I doubt the oil will cool that much between the main gallery and the adapter and the sensor.
  22. That's the problem I think 3rd Gen has straight metric ports compared to the NPT you have.
  23. Missed my point. I'm talking strict the measurement of the oil. If the probe is in the oil port with an adapter and the tip isn't exactly in the middle of the stream all the oil is going to be very close to the same as the moving oil. I really doubt you can measure a serious difference of temperature with an NPT to Metric adapter.
