I've been following this discussion but have not made a post; until now. Michael you should be quite pleased with your accomplishment of building this Website/Forum. We are Several years down the Road now looking back and its remarkable to me the footprint this site has made in the Cummins Diesel world, and many other diesel forums "Quote Threads from this Site" Its is an outstanding Success to say the least. I think I'm more inline with your vision of relying on Vendor participation and financial support to sustain the Website. And I've thought about this alot, mostly asking myself one question.."why is it so hard to get Vendors onboard" . There on other forums and most participate in the threads and post regularly. I don't see any with members with the technical back ground on here. I keep coming back to one Area: "The Domain Name" Now please don't take it that i myself see anything wrong with it, I do not. And i know its become your call sign. BUT i think if someone is doing a google or yahoo search for "Cummins or"Diesel" or "2nd Gen VP pump Issues, Mopar1973man is probably loosing out because when most see the word Mopar they don't associate it with the Diesel World even if it is on front page of the listings.. More so with the car Hotrod crowd. And i bet its a Bit%$H to get Google and MSN and Yahoo listings on front page for diesel engine help ... I really beleive that if the name were more in tune with "KEYWORDS" like CUMMINS OR DODGE CUMMINS, ICB CUMMINS.COM, CUMMINSICB.COM ..... THEY WILL COME, THEY WILL MOST DEFINITELY COME MIKE" My take on this is if you get the site through- traffic up, The VENDORS will come like bees to honey, and i don't think see the need to limit access to the forum once there here such as posting and asking questions, maybe require them to set up temp. account, then one they get in and see others that are donators and they will want full unrestricted access to chatroom, downloads "OR JUST want to past picture of their ride in there sig. then they will pay to get it .. I know this is speaking in long term and right now most may say this as a waste of time, Maybe its not possible for the site to sustain itself during the transition. IDK they might be right, what do you think?? I do think that limiting access to the basic forum is a bad idea cause i think it will detour new membership. and result in less donations AND HERE'S AN IDEA THAT MIGHT BE GOOD; What about having a "VENDORS NITE" Chat Room. kinda like a Q&A between "REGISTERED" Members and Vendors. Vendors would jump at the chance to sale more products. Let me know what you think.. rburks

Ever sense the Body shop/insurance replaced my Complete Fan assembly after the Accident 2yrs ago my fan runs constantly. "I mean I never hear IT lock in or out even in the middle of winter 10f-15f degrees i can start it up and fan is fully engaged and when you take down the road it sounds like standing beside a jet airplane before takeoff .. after talking to a few people, I'm pretty sure they installed a aftermarket POS on my truck from keystone auto.. ARE there anything i can do to adjust or re-calibrate it.. rburks

Guys..my pressures are 15 idle and 13WOT...the lowest ive seen them drop was 11psi and that is only for a second and then it snaps back to 13+ instantly... I think its where i dont have the draw straw, im using the 3/8 OEM fitting with the connector that came in the AD 100 KIT --- Update to the previous post... MY PRESSURES before i installed the new F/W sep.filter was 16-17 idle and 14WOT.. --- Update to the previous post... Mike..if i can find the 17psi spring i orderd w/ the AD im going to try that in the next few days..

my fuel PSI is 15 Idle 11-13 WOT..meaning on a hard pull it may pull to 11psi for 2-seconds if i get on the pedal hard like to pass something then it snaps to 13psi..I lost a 1-2lbs when i replaced my Fuel/Water seperator w/ the AirDog updated one, .."which is a Luber-Finer' FILTER and i was able to get the # for from "STANDARD LABATORIES" If any one wants it

2002 ctd not running right
Hey..I done the same thing a couple months ago. see i had a dead miss that started all at once one morning backing out of the driveway, even though my VP was a little over a 1yr old..i replaced the VP with one from D.I.S.in Louisville.. come to find our it was a Rocker come loose on #4 intake valve...My Truck doesn't fuel no where as hard, even w' my box on 4. very little smoke on 3x5 and 4x5..its like theres something blocking signal from the Edge juice

O.K. i recalibrated APPS and erased the code w/ Scantool. So far it has not come back. Truck seams to be fine with no issues,..this is strange, never had the terminals off :cookoo:Richie

O.K.... Trans. starting acting weired, 3-4th gear hunt last week. i recalibrated the APPS and it fixed it, then Last Night coming down the Parkway cruising at 70MPH it started what felt like either jumping out of 4th Gear or TQ unlocking only for a split second, I MEAN IT WOULD ONLY DO IT SEAM LIKE WHEN I WOULD VERY SLIGHTLY DECREASE PRESSURE ON THE PEDAL. It would only last for a split second...... Done the key trick this morning and got "122 code But here's the thing, I just replaced the APPS with TIMBOS 8-months ago. I remember that at first when i put the volt meter on it following Tims instructions on adjusting free travel my orginal voltage was way high over what the instructions said it should be. and even after talking to Tim while doing this We could not get it down...he eventualy said not to worry, just adjust the screw until voltage increase's and back it off.. Could it be the APPS Richie

HEY GUYS I dont spend much time over here on the 12valve side, I have a Buddy that just bought a 96 12 valve 2500 2WD W/Auto trans and his O/D is not working. The O/D Off Light in the dash is working indicating the switch is doing its job..shifts great 1-3 but no O.D. Anyone now what would cause this :shrug:Richie

How do i determine how many or which shimms to put in??? is this how you set the backlash by adding or subtracting shims...im used to setting up Rockwells & eaton diff. in big Trucks but this looks totally different.

O.K guys,.. I have just about made up my mind to go with a new Eaton/True Trac Diff. complete..But i have to Reinstall my Ring Gear on the new DIFF. I have never set up one of these before. What kind of job am i getting in to?? I mean, how hard is it to set up the Back Lash & pre-load on the pinion and carrier??:shrug:Richie

JL...Check and see if your has the T.V. cable set up like the 2nd GEN'S...Iif so try adjusting the cable....i have had simuliar issues with mine and that fixed it.. was just out of adjustment:shrug: Richie

Strange AirDog pressures?
Are they a chance that the washers are moving or sliding around, even slightly i would think it would play around with the fuel psi. then when you cut engine off it relives the pressure on the spring and allows them to re align themselfs some way:shrug: Richie

From what i have seen, removing the front end body parts may be a little different but not much... basicly once you get back to the Engine, it all the same as in My Article:smart:
