  1. Or the rubber could have torn...
  2. My Autometer gauges work pretty well. I've got friends with Glowshifts and they seem to work well too.
  3. I've been trying to figure out ways to improve my brakes some... They just don't seem to be as touchy as they should be. The front pads still have plenty on them, not as sure about the rear shoes as it has been a while since I looked at them. I do know my ebrake isn't the greatest even though I have adjusted the cable sometime back. Might need to do that again I suppose... Any other ideas?
  4. That is such a weird problem.
  5. That is awesome man, I'm thinking maybe I need to change mine b/c the brakes don't seem to work as well as I think they should. I don't know if they are original or not but I haven't changed them in over 35k miles I've put on it. I try not to use my brakes any more than I have to, I just downshift and slow down ahead of time.:hyper:98white, did you notice any noise with those brake pads?
  6. Sounds like what mine does b/c I don't have the stock canister so when I go through a car wash or in a really heavy rain it will get wet and come on for a while. I tried putting some tape on it, then that fell of so now I just don't worry about it. It only comes on once in a blue moon.
  7. Sure wish I did b/c twins would be sweet!!!!:hyper:
  8. Well I'm pretty sure the tach would stop working and probably cause some running issues b/c the computer won't be able to see the RPMs of the engine. That's about all I know.
  9. Cool man, that doesn't sound too bad at all. Shouldn't be too hard to install it I don't think...
  10. When I changed mine I never added anything.... It's been a long time ago, like 33k ago.... I think it's still working?
  11. Thanks guys!!! So Wild and Free, what all is needed to rebuild it do you think??
  12. This is a friend's rig: http://www.youtube.com/user/Platinumflamepyro The rear end is making a noise and grabbing around corners. He'll chime in a little bit so I bet he can describe it a little better. Any ideas??:confused013: It's on a '98 2500 with an auto.
  13. I bought a set from TopGunz... They work okay, took them three tries to get me the right set though!:doh:My 35s still rub a little when turning left on a drop/bump. On flat ground they don't though which is a lot nicer than they were!
  14. My Valair Kevlar/Ceramic single disc is has held up fine so far. It held enough to break the mainshaft!!
  15. Well I told heim to check the fuse but I haven't heard anything back yet...
  16. Way to go man!!!!:hyper::hyper:Maybe a magazine would be interested in doing a story about the truck?
  17. Didn't see anything but you never know. If the fuse isn't it, I'll look at it better.
  18. Oh okay I figured there was a fuse but wasn't sure which one it was. It was cold and I didn't have the time to really look them over the other day. I'll pass that on to him and see what he says.
  19. Okay guys this is a problem on a friends truck. It's a 2001 and the other day I tried to hook my scanner up to the port and we had no power... So does anyone have an idea of what to check?
  20. Well the HRVP shouldn't be much hotter than a SO VP with an box so I think you'd be fine. Also depends on what you plan to do with the truck. If you're towing a lot, I'd just go with the RV275s, if not the 75 hp would give a little more kick. My 150s along with my Edge can get hot really quick... 1400* without any problems if I'm in it hard. However, driving normal they stay fine even with a 16' horse trailer behind me. Of course that trailer was just hauling household junk so it wasn't heavy by temps weren't even close to being a problem even driving hard, hitting 75 mph+.
  21. I will in the morning about 10 am!
  22. If I can ever get caught on fixing broken parts I'm going to get me one of these. I think it would be really handy/fun to have. Good to hear about the "Y" harness, that's pretty cool!!
  23. Yep I hardly ever get any water out. Maybe just an once or two at the most.
